We’ve bought two mattresses from Mattress Makers - one adjustable split king and one queen. The whole experience was excellent, from the helpful sales staff to the delivery and setup; and the mattresses are high quality and very comfortable. Highly recommended.

Our in-store visit in La Mesa was extremely educational, because of Pablo. We took three hours there and picked out a mattress and base. They were delivered on time by two very conscientious gentleman. They set it up so fast, and explained how the remote worked. If you are looking for a bed, I highly recommend Mattress Makers.

Mattress Makers is Awesome! They offer high quality natural mattresses. They’re local and family owned. Our experience was relaxed, with no pushy sales people. Our delivery went great. The 2 young men were on time and were extremely helpful. We had a flawless experience with Mattress Makers from start to finish. We highly recommend them. You should definitely give them a try before you buy. We couldn’t be happier. We absolutely love our new mattress!

I just purchased a mattress from mattress makers. Staff, including owners are very personable and helpful. Pablo was amazing in handling a matter that I had. I would recommend the investment it's well worth it!! They offer a zero interest program on financing as well which was amazing and the only way I am able to have the best sleep now. Did I mention the pillows?! They stuff them there and fill it to your needs.

Great service and very reasonable pricing compared to regular mattress stores. When you go straight to the manufacturer, you really get a better product and pricing. Very happy with the process and our purchase. We both got what we wanted in a custom made mattress- spouses half is different than mine, with adjustable base for about 40% less than a regular mattress store.

I purchased my first mattress from mattress makers in 2017 after I was in a bad car accident . Dr. Told me I would have chronic neck and back pain . I researched the best mattress for me , reading countless articles , reviews , and going to various stores( I was prepared to spend a good amount of money ). When I went to mattress makers I came in with a ton of questions and the sales rep was amazing . Explained the differences between everything, why they suggested certain materials and mattress . I really just wanted the best for my body , and something that would last . I even brought my Frenchie with me to test mattress out . I am 100% happy with my purchase , they even made a small mattress for my Frenchie (: this year I needed a king (2 humans and 2 dogs ) so I saved up and went back to purchase my second . My partner recently had back surgery and I knew this would be the best bed for us . We are so happy with our purchase . We even got the 2 u shaped pillows , as I am a side sleep and he’s a back sleeper . Amazing pillows ! Mattress makes is worth the money and the investment. Our queen mattress lives in the guest room , and we always get “this is the most comfortable mattress, what is it ?” From anyone who stays the night (:
It’s really difficult to trust online retailers , and it’s shocking that “similar “ mattress are so much less. I don’t trust them . I’ve know been to order from the internet and their mattresses are just okay. Mine is the best .

I was reached out to by the team following the review and they made a change and update to the mattress for my mom.
I did explain that yes she did visit but after a while we called too to say it was still too firm. The communication just seemed to get lost. The team promptly made the change and delivered the new mattress yesterday. I appreciate the fast response to this post.
The sales was great. Very attentive. Everything else has been like pulling teeth. When my mother ordered the bed, they “promised” she could switch the topping out of it was too hard… well when the bed was delivered (there were issues with communication and delivery times as well ) it was too hard. She waited at least 30 days per the conversation with the lady. After a couple months, she called and they said “oh yes, we will get that switched out..” they never called! They do not actually sit on their word. Go to someone else. This is unacceptable when you spend so much money.
I will say for the communication issue they allowed us to come get a couple pillows free. I only got one though and gave them the benefit of the doubt. However, with the fact they didn’t contact back again and I just did not call and bicker at them.. they get 2 stars. This is unacceptable and poor customer service. They take advantage.

Great local spot (La Mesa) for custom beds and pillows. Super helpful and friendly owner. They also have the softest cotton/bamboo sheets.

I won't ever go anywhere else. The
Salesperson outlined the products and left me to decide if I wanted one.No pressure. She went back to her desk and only when I approached her did greet me again. I chose a hybrid model which is innerspring with a natural latex thick top .

From the first phone call I made to the time we picked up our mattress, the customer service experience was exceptional! I had the pleasure of working with Maria in the warehouse. She had a customer but acknowledged me right away and worked with both of us as we tried various mattresses. She was patient, professional and courteous. I was pleased. I also spoke with Maria’s sister on the phone but her name has escaped me. She was so sweet. Then there’s Tim. He came out to measure for a perfect sized mattress in our RV. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation. He was professional, so pleasant and answered my numerous questions. My mattress was created with love in rapid time! I was told 2 weeks and it was ready in just one week. One of the owners, Pablo, offered me a bedding package at 75% off sheet set, mattress cover and 2 memory foam pillows. The sheets are super soft & cozy, and I love them. My ONLY disappointment was the pillows weren’t what I expected. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with them but they don’t work for me. I just expected them to be soft & fluffy like the one I tried in the warehouse which was amazing!! Will purchase one of those at a later date. Pablo greeted me upon pickup of mattress with a huge smile and warm handshake. He was very friendly, and we had a nice chat. Jordan helped with tying down mattress along with another gentleman whose name has escaped me. They, too, were very friendly. Never before have I experienced such incredible customer service from the top down such as Mattress Makers!! Oh, and I wanted to wait on their review until I had a few nights on my mattress. It’s exactly what I needed, firm yet soft on top. I haven’t slept this well for a few years now. This is my 4th bed in 3 years, and this one is here to stay. I am a forever customer and HIGHLY recommend this place for your mattress, bed and bedding needs. It’s also family-owned & operated which is a plus. Thank you to the family and others I encountered who met me with with such warmth.
