The technicians who helped me, Jay and Brian, were so kind and helpful!! I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone! They both provided quality service to my car and provided me with a detailed breakdown of any/all points of interest that may need to be looked into in the future which is very helpful!! I will definitely be taking my car back here for any and all future car services I need.

My check engine light came on, made appt to do diagnostics. Had to replace thermostat, coolant and several hoses. Took a day and a half. Jay was pleasant and courteous and called me with status on progression. Very professional.

BEST experience with the best guys. I’m a teacher here in La Mesa and I called over to Brian to tell him my situation with my oil leak. He took me in immediately and he and his guys (Dylan) helped me figure out the issue. Turns out it was a mistake made by my dealership that they had to end up fixing. Patrick was awesome as well. Through conversation we found out we grew up in the same neighborhood and went to the same schools. It’s guys like these that alleviate the stress of having car issues. They are HONEST, HELPFUL, and PERSONABLE. Such hard workers. I will definitely be back and will highly recommend to friends and fam ??

Needed to have my rear taillight on my SUV replaced and saw the high rating. I called and spoke with Brian who was very professional and courteous. Lobby is clean and spacious and I was greeted and offered complimentary drinks (coffee, bottled water, and soda). Waited less than 20 min for install, despite being busy on a Fri. morning. Great local business that values customer service! Hard to come by these days. Thanks Brian and definitely earned my business!

I was able to work with Brian and Jay over the phone as I live 7 hours away. My daughter is attending college in San Diego and her car (2006 Mazda 3) required some maintenance. They both are very knowledgeable and customer service oriented...Another plus they were able to accept payment over the phone. All the work done was very professional. Brian and Jay are both knowledgeable and professional. Brian is great to work with, he'll discuss options to diagnose problems and give options. He's very conscious with repairs that are safety concerns vs. "Repair when really needed". Pricing is slightly higher but worth the cost.Service: Air conditioning

First visit to John’s to have my car checked before a long road trip and I was very impressed with the service. From the moment I walked in and greeted by Jay everything was explained completely and I felt very comfortable. I was given a drive back home while my car was being serviced and when my car was ready received a call and any issues were explained verbally, by email and a written report. As I was driving out a small issue I tried to remedy occurred but everyone went above and beyond to fix it!

Great service as always. Love the report with pictures to show the problem. Unfortunately repair was too pricey (head gaskets aren't cheap) and just not worth the value of the car. But Jay was great and answered all my questions and didn't push me to have to do the repair. Will definitely be back with (hopefully) less costly repairs in the future ?Services: General repairs & maintenance
