Naz ruined my hair. I requested a 1 inch trim and one small layer an inch above the bottom. She clearly did more than that. She finished in 10 minutes so that says something. Worst part is when she took the first huge chunk off I stopped and asked her why she was cutting so much off and she told me that “it’s exactly what I wanted and it was going to look so good.” To be gaslit after making mistake after mistake..feels like she truly didn’t care. I wanted to run out but I shut down, I knew the damage had already been done. My hair was just above my rear and thick, and now it’s slightly past my shoulders and I have an awkward bottom layer that looks like a rats tail. Even though I knew I shouldn’t have, I didn’t want to make a scene so I paid and still gave Naz a generous tip - I didn’t know what to do. I just tried to act normal, not freak out, and proceeded to cry for the next two days. The salon manager, Stephanie, tried to help by blending Naz’s mistakes (I called and complained and she allowed me to come back after seeing the photos) but she was unable to do much; she confirmed it had been hacked. Naz was reckless and unprofessional. She knew she messed up and instead of being accountable she gaslit me. I had to spend an additional $200 to somewhat fix it but my hair was ruined. Thank you Naz. DO NOT LET HER CUT YOUR HAIR.

Unfortunately, I can not remember the woman's name that cut my hair. She smelled so much like cigarettes I was nauseous. Not a good experience today.

I frequent the Great Clips at 3721 Avocado Blvd, La Mesa, CA 91941 and have done so for over 4 years. The vibe is very welcoming and the service has always been top notch. It took years looking for the right fit, and from the very first time I met my hairstylist (Stephanie) I just loved every style she has created. Not only does she pay attention to detail, she truly exceeds client needs and expectations. My dad was a barber and when he passed a few years ago my kids had high expectations of who they trusted with their hair... And now she's the one! If you want to get a great haircut, awesome service and a clean, friendly atmosphere, this Great Clips is the place to go. 6 people in my family all go to Stephanie, and I highly refer this location. If I could give more than 5 stars I definitely would?

Let me just start by saying. I don’t review. It’s not my thing, when i appreciate someone’s work i show gratitude by tipping well and using my words. But… Kat put 10’s all across the board today. I went in today with the hopes of fixing my chopped, butchered, broken and dead hair for a reasonable price. And she did just that. I asked for a shampoo and trim in which I got. The shampoo was amazing and extremely clarifying. She made sure to explain the proper shampooing process for someone like me, with oily scalp and even recommend really good products specifically for my hair issues. Following that, my trim was gorgeous. She blew out my hair so I could get the vision and it truly looks and feels amazing. I’ve never had a better experience. It’s very hard to find people who are extremely passionate, experienced and knowledgeable about what they do. Kat knew it all. coming from a woman with CURLY, THICK hair that’s been butchered by stylists who are top of the line, this woman is talented and it truly radiates. I’ve never felt more confident and for that, this review was written. 10/10 experience, will be back for more business!

If your looking for a quick cut, this is the place. You can look online to see how long the wait is and sign up for a place in line without having to sit and wait at the store. Such a time saver!
