First Republic bank has been the best banking experience I've ever had. Ang banking issues and you get a direct line to your banker, not a 1-800 number. Customer service seems to be their top priority. Any questions or issues are handled promptly. The employees are fast, efficient, and friendly and always have a positive attitude. I'm disappointed I spent so much time with chase and other globo banks and didn't come to First Republic sooner.

I felt mistreated by them, they made me feel from the very beginning that they didn't want to open the account for me, like being race profiled for being Latino.I called them later after I left the bank to ask them to cancel my account application

Best service of a bank I have experienced in multiple cities across the US. I only wish the location opened at 8. Highly recommend!

I felt so honored to be a part of this bank until I started getting treated coldly for no reason. Frank completely ruined every experience I had there. I've been to 1st republic in NYC and the service was opposite of this bank. For whatever reason (they gave me no reason) my account was closed randomly without an explanation. Which I feel an explanation is fair. Do not go to this bank they are cold, unwelcoming and apparently "for the wealthy" if only FRANK knew who he decided to kick out. Anyways I'm laughing my way to another bank.....and if you ever ask for a manager....it's FRANK.

Although the customer service is fine, how is it that a bank NOT have Zelle? I was told to pay my rent via bill pay but that they don't offer Zelle as a form of payment. What if you get paid on the same day your rent is due?I think that the option should be available but the bank isn't certain if this option will become available to non first republic members. Wells Fargo is a much better bank in my opinion.

This bank needs to invest in desktop plexiglass to help customers. The DOOR GUARD, doesnt have to speak condescendingly to anyone that does business. We have good intentions, and assume the clerks desk provides ample spacing, but certainly not to be spoken to like idiots. The clerk was very customer service oriented, but the door guard enforcing the 6' social distancing isnt professional. The current markings they have are about 12' away from any desk, and people need to exchange currency, pull up account numbers and such. Courteousness goes a long way in life.

Love this bank. I have been a member since 1997 and will never use another bank. I am always greeted by name and with a friendly face.I never have to wait for a teller, in and out, and on with my day. Best bank ever.

Although they have competitive CD rates, I was declined a 5 month CD because of my profession. Sadly, this is something I am probably going to have to get used to when opening future CDs. It is an unfortunate event and I will not be using this bank anytime soon.

I needed to have two documents notarized and First Republic Bank (La Mesa branch) happily and efficiently provided the notary services. Free to current customers. That's excellent customer service !

You have to be really bad for me to call you out on Yelp, if I get bad food at a restaurant, I just won't eat there again, however, CUSTOMER SERVICE is important to me, having been owner of the number one termite control company on the San Francisco Peninsula. When I went to this branch last week to open a business account, Brittany Z. helped me and we did some paperwork for about 30 minutes. Almost finished, we hit a snag. She told me I would need to clear up what their computer is not allowing...an issue with my tax ID number that had a bad mark on it somehow? News to me! I spent the next day fixing whatever was wrong, even getting a new tax ID number for the business. When I called to let Brittany Z. know and schedule a time to come in, the other teller said Brittany Z. was on the phone and she would have her call me when she was off the phone. After waiting approximately 5 hours, I called back and Brittany Z. answered, she sounded surprised to hear from me, and when I told her I resolved the issue and would like to schedule a time to finish our paperwork she said "Um, hi, um, I need to talk to my supervisor, can I call you right back?? That was five days ago and she never called back. Long story short, just say we don't want your business or something... playing games of avoiding people or hoping they'll just give up and go elsewhere is childish. This young lady looked to be about 18 years old, and when she asked why I chose this bank, I explained we just moved here and heard good things about this bank. When I asked her how she liked working at 1st Republic she just went on and on about liking the free cookies... I don't know why she is even in the position to open business accounts, especially being so unprofessional and lacking the ability to interact with customers in a professional matter. I went Friday morning to another bank and they were happy to help me and I opened my account.

After 40 years we've phased out Citibank and moved to this LM branch. We're still battling with them for service fees on closed accounts that they very stupidly reopened! First Republic is paying a very decent CD return. A welcome developement after eight stalled years under Obama's anemic economy. As new retirees this comes when we need it most. These folks are at the top of their game. The branch staff is professional, extremely helpful, knowledgible, accomodating and customer oriented. I've never had a bank call before just to check in and make sure everything is going okay. This was a very good move for us. My only squawk is that Reserved Customer Parking in the rear could be monitored closer. People take advantage especially during Friday Farmer's Market on La Mesa Blvd.

Banking with First Republic Bank, La Mesa Branch, is the best personalized banking experience you will ever have. You will start to consider a visit to the bank a pleasure, not a chore. The bankers are outstanding professionals who create an atmosphere of warmth and caring. Grab a cookie, sit at your banker's table and your banking needs will be addressed and taken care with a smile and skillful precision. Thank you to the great bankers for all you have done for my family!
