So the lady helping the self check out this evening was rude and seemed like someone that hates there job ! Jocelyn I think her name was enjoying mean mugging and commenting She should do her job and not make customers feel bad as she just hung out with security that was nice but her she needs a revamping on customer service for sure I been coming for years and now I'm not sure I may give this store a long break from this service she has spoken Thanks so much Not so nice lady

I went inside Vons looking for FedEx kiosk then had to ask for help. The manager there said “we’re closed at 8pm and to come back tomorrow” to send my package, even though the website said they close at 9pm. I am disappointed. Don’t bother to come to this location.

Two stars because it's a pretty big Vons and used to come here a lot when living in La Mesa. I'm not sure what the deal is with self check out these days but when you have two employees standing and observing self check out, it makes absolutely no sense??? We got denied to go into a line to check out with a cart full of groceries so they could have two people standing watching people bag their own groceries. Will never be shopping at this Vons again. Hire more people.

Positive:Produce is goodPharmacy has prescriptionsDaisy and sunflowers seem to live more than a few days Cons:DON'T BUY FREEZER STUFF! Their settings are not set well for frozen foods. On different occasions I bought ice creams or junk food and it was freezer burned and crystalized making the item taste funny. I have brought it to their attention and even left a previous review, that seems to have vanished, and they said they would fix their issues and still haven't. Their roses die quickly Bathrooms are disgusting and never clean and require a code. The bathrooms have liquid on the floors the 2x I had to use it on separate days DON'T USE UNLESS YOU WANT POOP SHOES.

This specific vons has a great bakery selection. There's a Vons closer to my home, yet if I need a quick last minute dessert for a birthday this is my go-to place. I've also ordered custom cakes with as little notice as two days. It's been a life saver for me.

Deli section has poor attendees. 3 days in a row little to NO chicken wings or service at the counter while employees standing around in background talking and laughing with no concern about how many customers are waiting at the counter. This is a much reoccurring practice at this store. This is not a 1-2 time experience, 8-10 times over the past two months. Who is the asst mgr for this department?

I do pickup regularly and the courtesy clerks are awesome. My only complaint is the app saying certain things are out of stock for long periods of time. I kinda feel like if I went into the store they would have it. The Hormel mashed potatoes have been "out of stock" for months. What's up with that? It's like they are trying to force you to purchase the store brand because they never seem to be out of those.

Do not order online with this Vons!! They are the worst when it comes to online ordering. I placed my order, they were out of certain items and no substitution options were given. Upon calling I had to cancel my order. I was told I'd be given a refund in 5-7 business days. Later on I received a message saying my order had been picked up. I had to jump through hoops with the store and calling corporate to make sure I received a refund. Time wasted and they tried scamming me by saying my order had been picked up and was being charged. They always ask for a signature and they didn't have one from the pickup. Such scummy workers and management. Trying to steal from loyal customers. I'll make sure to spread word of mouth to all family friends and colleagues to make sure that stay away from this Vons. Not worth the hassle.

Just a heads up. In the ad for "10 items for $10" make sure the exact item you are purchasing is listed in the choices in the "Just for U" section. If it is not listed you will be charged the full price even though it is listed as one of the sales items on the shelf/freezer.The store employee I dealt with was unable/unwilling to help me out. I figured it out myself

If I can give no stars I would. As a previous employer in the grocery outlet area. This would be the worst place ever. I understand the suspicion of having two or more people in the liqour isle for about maybe ten to fifteen minutes not being able to decide on things but IT ONE FUCKING THING TO feel watched as security is constantly walking around the same area. Instead of asking "walking around the store" MAYBE THEY COULD'VE ASKED IF WE NEEDED ANY HELP! then ironically once we paid and left security was back in the front. Like I am not an idiot. NEVER COME HERE. Especially if you are in you are in your 20s and can't decided on the type of liqour you need for your drink.

Vons destroyed my Thanksgiving I sent my son in to get a turkeys roasting bag. as you walk in Von set up a display of items to help roast your turkey in the front of the store, on the display was a bring bag. not knowing the what a brine bag is he got it. our 13 pound turkey was put in the bag and melted in our oven. yes we got the wrong bag, but why put a brine bag with items to roast a turkey and knows the difference.

Some of the best clerks ever!! And they have held steady WITH US ALL, all states of our health, during the pandemic!! Words & praise can ever be enough! I don't know everyone's names, but the tall manager with long hair is a "rock star" -- and IZZY at checkout is so efficient and kind. BRANDON at the deli is so thoughtful and great every time. Not sure the name of the quiet produce man who does an amazing job of stacking the produce -- perfectly! -- EVERY time I am there. He is so good at that! I love that this is my neighborhood market

Rudest employees I have ever encountered, checkout machines would not accept my debit card several times to my embarrassment even though money was in my account. Will take my business elsewhere
