Do not send your child here! My 3 year old daughter started her FIRST day of daycare here at this school and of course, had an extremely difficult time adjusting to being left in a new place, with new friends, new teachers after being home with Mom for the past three months during our summer break. My daughter was being difficult and the daycare messaged me saying that if she doesn't calm down, she will need to be picked up. I messaged back saying let me know what I can do and I let them know that drops offs are difficult for her and I told them a few things that usually help at home. I got no reply. After an hour, I messaged again asking for an update on how she was doing. I got a response an hour later saying that she was happy and playing but they wanted to talk with me about drop off. I called the daycare and they informed me that she is no longer welcome in their center. WHAT!!!! After 2 hours of attendance on her very first day of a new school, they had decided she was not welcome at their center!!! I asked them why no one called me to let me know what was happening. They say they didn't call me because they were busy with an interview and they knew I was at work.... So instead of calling me, or calling my husband, to let us know what was happening at school, they instead called to let me know they wont care for her and she is no longer welcome in their center! So any new parents deciding to bring your child here.... just know, after you wait MONTHS to get a spot in this school, your child better be on their BEST behavior for the very first day, otherwise they will kick your toddler out of their school because "they do not have the staff to sit with your child" when they are having a hard time adjusting.

Love love love this place! I am so glad we were able to get in (especially since I forgot about putting the little one on the waitlist). They care so much! No screens at all and lots of outdoor play. The little ones are in their own development pods but they do interact with each other here and there.Very communicative and they send lots of pictures to you.

I went to this school when I was a little girl. That was in the 80's - early 80's. I remember almost everything. I had a blast with my pals, was occupied all of the time and stimulated. I was born in '79. This place still looks exactly the same :). Fond memories of childhood, here.

CBCC is absolutely amazing. Our daughter has been four about 4 months and she loves it. The teachers are extremely caring and have a clear interest in the children's development. I would highly recommend to parent!

My husband and I both work, like many parents here in California and we really wanted to find an excellent daycare at a reasonable price for our baby girl (She started at 3+ months old) as I went back to work from maternity leave. We are BEYOND grateful we found Charley Brown! This is our first kid, and we wanted her to be socialized a few days a week and not at home, since the pandemic has really made it impossible to have other families over or socialize in general. The ratios of teacher/kids aren't too big like some schools here in SD and we knew as our girl got older, they focus on lots of outdoor activities/playtime and hands-on learning which we liked. Ms. Liz at the front office, and Mrs. Melissa and Mrs. Hala in the infant class are all so fantastic & hardworking. They are congenial, caring and pay attention to the details. We get picture updates and reminders which is so nice & they are diligent about tracking her sleep and eating schedule. Additionally, they are taking every step necessary to ensure the safety of staff and kids alike during a pandemic and are very responsive to any questions or personal preferences needed. We don't worry when our daughter is there during the week and she brought home the cutest feet and handprint arts and crafts for the holidays which, of course, are keepsakes for momma! We can't wait to watch our girl grow up attending school here and are so glad they range from so young to Pre-K for that reason. Forever thankful to the staff here for being so very warm and wonderful!

Our son has been going here since he was 12 weeks old and we love it. All of the teachers are so sweet and caring. You can tell they love what they do and where they work. The school is very communicative through their app and even sends pictures of our happy boy having fun. It is easy to see they genuinely care for the kids <3

Had our child here for awhile until we realized they were never changed in the 4 hours they were there. She consistently had diaper rash that was so bad she screamed when we changed her, and she got sick so often that she only attended school about 50% of the time.

This is a wonderful place for children. The ladies here are so warm and children focused. 80% of the staff has been there over five years so you can tell that they are passionate and happy with their jobs. My boys LOVE their school and I am so very confident that they loved there. When I tell you these kids are BUSY, they are BUSY. Weekly I get a plethora of art and worksheets that both my 19month old and my three year old do. Classroom ratios are great and the staff is on TOP of it. During drop off they are always checking in with each other to make sure teachers are not overwhelmed. They are in constant communication with parents and will stop everything and put you in direct contact with your child's teacher. They work with you in every single sense of the word.Just a super warm place and I love it. Don't know how we are going to do when my three year old has to go to kindergarten. Oh, did I mention the kids eat well? Hot meals served daily and very healthy snacks. You can bring your own food if you dont agree with their menu but unless your child has special needs you won't need to. Example breakfast: cream of wheat and blue berries; Lunch: beef stroganoff with a fruit; Snack: broccoli and cheese. They have a playground and the kids are able to burn that energy they need to in order to retain the lessons that the teachers provide. The ONLY area of improvement I would say they could have is to email more and print less. I say that b/c I am of the generation that utilizes my email and forget to check my actual snail mail. That is such a small thing and does NOT take away from the love (close to obsession) that I have with Charley Brown. This is a wonderful organization and I would recommend it to ANY and EVERYONE looking for a place for their child. This place is the REAL DEAL! I am thankful for them.
