I've been locked out of acct for 3 weeks and Lillian didn't get back to me after 2 follow ups. When she finally reset my password I had already fixed it with corporate and she caused me to be locked out again. There is no personal responsibility or collaboration in this bank especially between 'corporate' and their branch employees. Employees tell you to call corporate if their measly attempts to fix a issue dont work and customer service tells you to go into a branch when they don't want to help you.

By far the worst branch. Customer service is horrible. The tellers can't make a single move without getting the managers approval even for a simple deposit mind you no cash was involved. ONLY CHECKS!!! The branch manger needs to do some serious training on customer service. I've been with bank of the west for over 20 years I can't wait to drop them because it's nothing but a disaster every time I go into this branch.

Likely one of the worst banks I have ever dealt with. If you have an issue like needing a copy of a bank statement they cannot figure out how to help. We closed three commercial accounts because of the poor service.

I walked in to ask information about an account I had opened and wanted to make a deposit on and Valeria one of the tellers informed me the account was closed I asked to re open the account and she said I would have to wait in line again I was already in line for about 10-15 mins I'm currently on medication so my responses are slow and before I could even answer she dismissed me and handed me back my ID I felt like that was rude and embarrassing for me as there was a handful of people at the bank I'm going to still open an account but I will also be taking to a manager

Excellent Customer Service,highly recommend I cannot understand how the reviews are so bad.All the staff are top notch including the branch manager Joseph Morales,as well as Valeria Figueroa and Daisy.Their customer service is 10/10 and so is the location of the bank,the building is beautiful,all the staff are banking experts and you will be treated better at bank of the west at the other big banks.Please ignore some of the other people writing nonsense reviews here.I am quite saddened by these false reviews.Thanks again to all the staff at the La Mesa Bank of West Branch for making my banking experience top notch!

We took a train all the way from downtown with my sick friend who has stage 4 cancer and he was leaning against the wall waiting for our bank to open at 9am. A bank employee came up to us and instead of greeting us she rudely said I cant have you stand there as she cared more about her coffee getting cold than people who trust this bank.

Bank of the West has a very small town atmosphere. I've never had to wait more than a few minutes for service. At the San Diego branch, one of the managers knows my name and always says hello. I bank here because they have free checking(as long as you have a small balance)but I really like the service.
