I purchased the Okinawa futon. If you are looking for a solid futon, get this! It’s durable and has storage underneath and behind it. Unfortunately the website doesn’t show the behind storage.

We were interested in a Tatami and Futon after our recent trip to Japan. Imagine our surprise that the Futon Shop was so local and aligned with our style. The staff at the store was super knowledgeable and helpful! Moe made our experience great! Fantastic!

I was in the market for a futon, and preferably a natural & eco-friendly one. I knew I was interested in purchasing one from The Futon Shop, but when I looked at all the options on their website, I was rather overwhelmed. I picked up the phone and ended up working with Moe, who is incredibly personable and helpful! Moe explained the various options, the pros and cons to each based on my needs, and ensured that I got the best price for what I wanted. It made finding a futon a breeze. And amazingly, though I live on the other side of the country (North Carolina), TFS will still ship to my door in a reasonable time frame.
I'm really looking forward to my new futon. Thank you, Moe!

We’ve been using their natural products for years. Our young son has been sleeping on a futon shiki mattress since he was 3. We’re now purchasing a tatami raised bed for him. We can’t wait to use it. Highly recommend!!!

Mo with The Futon Shop is So Kind, Knowledgable, and patient. He got us All set up with our new Organic Pure Comfort Mattresses. They have So Many options, and they are Chemical Free! Recently had the pleasure to be working with Jenny in our search for a high-quality futon and mattress set. The Costa Mesa shop was full of many different top-quality frames and mattress ideas, after an hour or so of Jenny going over every detail and answering all of our questions we were sold!
It was not a hard sell as, I have been in furniture manufacturing for more years than I would like to state and we were very impressed with the fine craftsmanship of everything in the store.
The futon shop has more than just futons, they have quality beds, mattresses, sofas and much more, have a look at their web site or stop in, you won’t be disappointed.
I will leave a follow up in a few weeks of use on comfort and ease of use.
