I am so fortunate to have found this center in our community. I have been going here for a few months now to attend yoga twice during the week. It is a non profit and non denominational organization run by two sisters who are nuns. Both are extremely kind and so welcoming. They are passionate at serving their community and the well being of each other. I have gone to high end fancy yoga studios and have done private lessons before but nothing beats simplicity and coming back to basics. Following the traditional classical way of yoga is about uniting and anchoring the mind, body and spirit. Unfortunately most studios nowadays don't teach this! It is geared towards physical fitness but this center goes beyond the physical aspect, they teach mindfulness/awareness through ancient wisdom. The yogi/instructor is amazing. She is gentle enough to know what kind of stretches her class needs but will also incorporate some challenging posses to strengthen you. She'll explain the benefits of each stretch and pose. At the end of the class I walk out feeling invigorated and limber for sure!! I have taken my son with me a few times to do yoga and he enjoys it. Yoga classes are donation based $60/mo. They also offer a meditation class on Wed evening. They teach yogic breathing-pranayama. The sister will guide you through the different types of breath work techniques. It is very grounding and puts you in the present moment. It also helps with stress and anxiety. Breath work is a great tool to have in your daily practice. This is a great class to attend. The amount of knowledge and deep wisdom from the sister is invaluable! Class is an hour long. Personally speaking from my experience, yoga studios are great establishments , but if you are seeking to go deeper in your spiritual practice, I highly recommend this place. You will find it more enriching physically and mentally. I truly love the close knit community here from all walks of life...older and younger ages. All are welcome! This organization is such a gem to our city!

I had the pleasure of visiting this place last year. Baijis lovingly welcomed me into their ashram and made me feel at home. This is your place if you want to learn yoga and meditation. This is also your place if you want to socialise, have meaningful discussions or get in touch with the Indian community around the area. Lastly, this is a place where you will be able to enjoy important hindu cultural and religious celebrations, festivals as well as regular satsangs.I will always remember them with fond memories

I have been wanting to practice yoga since I was in junior college in the early 80s, now I am finally doing it! I've only been practicing yoga for a few months, but I already can tell the difference in the flexibility of my body and I don't have as much back pain as I used to. The Divine Art of Yoga Center in La Habra has been a true blessing.

I came to the ashram looking for classical yoga that taught more than just physical wellness but spiritual and mental practices too. What I have received these last three months has been so much more. This is family, friendship, and community together helping one another reconnect within to gradually reflect that peace in how we interact with our external world. I began by going to yoga on Saturday mornings, then moved into going Monday and Wednesday morning too. The meditation and breathing class on Wednesday evenings have helped me tremendously in learning how to navigate through my day to day responsibilities as a mom, wife, employee, etc. I could not see myself going back to a yoga gym/studio again! This yoga center is more then fitness goals, these sisters have made it their life purpose to help and guide others with wisdom and compassion. May you find this review helpful, take care.

My search to learn yoga started at the end of 2021 after reading multiple books. I was looking for classical yoga (not taught in many studios nowadays). I found Divine Art of Yoga on Yelp, browsed their website and attended my first class in March 2022. I've been a student ever since. There are several classes ranging from beginner to advanced: 9-10 am Monday, Wednesday and Saturday is beginner/senior classes 6-7 pm Tuesday and Thursday is intermediate to advance classes. 7-8 pm Wednesday is meditation and yogic breathing. What attracted me the most to Divine Art of Yoga is the fact that they are a non-profit organization serving the community. They share and teach ancient wisdom, knowledge and techniques for inner wellbeing via classical authentic yoga, meditation and yogic breathing. This is truly a one of a kind experience and organization to have in our local community!

Wonderful place I discovered in 2014. Founded by 2 sisters - Murti Baiji and Gautam Baiji, spiritual, knowledgeable, kind human beings. It used to be Ashram only for spiritual talk and chanting, but now they expending and have variety of yoga classes, women' S classes and more things will follow. Satsang every Sunday, time varies depending on a season. Nondenominational, everyone is welcome! Delicious Indian food afterwards cooked by members of the community.

This is one of my favorite places to be. I've been attending yoga and pranayam classes for just over two years now. Yoga practice with the group has really helped me get my mind together toward some self-realization. It's like now I have more opportunities to consider my life in a better light. I am thankful for the efforts of the Baijis and their supporters, and for the warm friends I've made here.
