The place is closed, they no longer provide the adoption service, we went with the hope of taking a pet and we came back empty-handed

Just read all the negative reviews, it's for a reason!! Oh and there is such a thing as zoom, and ex dog owners know how to take care of their dogs. Oh and tall fences don't work when your landscapers leave the door open. An Arrogant Director, her guidance reflects on the staff. The complaints are many. Sometimes it takes a while to know the truth.

Worst customer service. The lady answering the call has one of the worst tone and shouldn’t even be tasked to answer any calls.
She hangs up while I’m asking a question. Why are you guys even in business

Whoever picked up the phone is so rude and unprofessional. Called to see if my dog would be at their shelter and right away shuts me down and says "No" with no explanation.Im calling every shelter/pound so I'm not being super observant to what dogs they "take", she could have easily asked if my dog was a Greyhound AND THEN said No because they only take Greyhounds SIMPLE AS THAT. Instead she becomes even more combative when I told her but you don't even know if you have him or not because I hadn't told her my dogs breed yet and then she goes to say: yes I do know because if the dog isn't a greyhound we wouldn't have him, STILL not knowing what breed my dog is.People need to take customer service classes its actually embarrassing.I just called around 10minutes ago. September 27th, 2023 at around 10:20am.

We have adopted 3 greyhounds from Fast Friends. Tom and Joyce were lovely to work with and clearly care about their dogs ending up in good homes. They have a ton of knowledge about greyhounds and are a wonderful resource to anyone who adopts one of their greyhounds.

Absolutely the worst greyhound adoption agency!I live in San Francisco & have been trying to adopt an ex racing hound for the last few weeks. Have already had phone interview & home inspections, but due to COVID, there has been a limited number of greyhounds up for adoption.I tried expanding my search radius to LA area thinking I'd fly or drive down to adopt.Called this rescue and the "president" JOYCE who answered the phone was the most condescending person I've ever spoken to in my life. Absolutely no people skills. Kept repeating (screaming) "I've told you eleven times now!" Even though we've only spoken for two minutes. Maybe she was getting me confused with someone else?As a veterinarian, I am truly concerned for the greyhounds well-being that she has in her "care". JOYCE is extremely hostile and violent and I would be concerned for any animals she has under her supervision. I will be calling Animal Protective Services because I truly believe that if this woman is that aggressive over the phone, who knows what's she's doing to those poor animals.

DO NOT ADOPT FROM THIS AGENCY!!! Absolutely the worst greyhound adoption agency! JOYCE IS ABUSIVE & AGGRESSIVE. READ OTHER REVIEWS! We had such a great experience adopting our greyhound through Fastfriends. We felt they really took the time to meet us and ensure that we were paired with a dog that would fit our lifestyle. All the people we interacted with were extremely friendly and answered all the questions that we had. The foster home gave us food, a collar, leash, and toys on the day we picked our greyhound, which was greatly appreciated. The entire process took about five weeks from initial application to adopting our dog, but I know this process varies based on their availability and your preferences. We would highly recommend anyone wanting a greyhound to go with Fastfriends!

We're so happy with the beautiful greyhound we adopted and would recommend Fast Friends. There are volunteers working for the organization who have fostered 100+ dogs, many of whom need medical attention, and there's a lot of behind the scenes work to make sure these dogs have a happy transition from the racetracks to homes. The way they prioritize the health and happiness of the dogs deserves five stars! Their website is very informative so if you're serious about adopting a greyhound, I'd recommend reading all the FAQs etc.

Great experience. Best adoption process. And best dog ever.

I've been associated with this group for over 20 years. Our family has fostered over 150 dogs. A greyhound isn't the right dog for everyone, but for those that are, we'll be there to help with pre and post adoption questions. But the process isn't quick, don't try to rush it.

Y'all. This place cares. We had a home visit because these dogs are sensitive. They're ATHLETES. From the moment they wake up, to the moment they sleep...train, train, train. All the dogs seek in affection, because that's what they were bred for. This adoption agency cares, and would rather say NO than say yes and see any ONE of these sweet, sensitive angels by themselves. If you're curious, I'm free for a DM. Yeah, you're a bit invasive FastFriends, but keep at it.

I am an Occupational Therapist in California who is losing their job due to the vaccine mandates. After 2 months of fostering, I contacted FastFriends to see what my opinions were so I can better decide what choices I should make (what if I find a job where I need to move?, What I would do if I wanted to sell my house?, etc.) I have plenty of money. I have my current career until March 15. I was planning to adopt. The dog was a perfect fit. Joyce, the owner of FastFriends, was incredibly hostile when I was trying to explain my situation. She mentioned something about how I would never be able to find steady work without the vaccine and I am unfit to foster or adopt a dog. I'm 32 years old. I have a masters degree. I own my own home. Yet, I am unfit to adopt. I think it was the fact that my doctor and I decided the vaccine was not needed for me. I am a combat vet and the dog did a lot for me. And they took him away. I'm devastated. This organization does not have the dogs best interest in mind. Shame on them.
