“All the guys are super helpful. Been in there a few times to purchase things for an exterior remodel. We even order some specific materials and before completing the sale the guy went out and located some samples and inspected them. He explained the samples were not up to standard and would be ordering new materials from the manufacture being completing the sale. Great place, huge selection of products and great prices. “This building material is one of the O.G.s Nationwide. They are knowledgeable and experienced. When you shop for a product, do expect some factors on some material. Also, you need to understand business like lead time and if there is a limit/minimum on some material. Also, if it's a special order, don't expect to make any modifications last minute because it's a special order. So, really know what you need/want because it's on you. This building material sells quality material and they have indoor shopping area as well.”

“Great service and pricing on Building materials, called and inquired about drywall materials and went and picked up the materials the same day, great service and the price was better than Lowes or HD.”
“They have a solid selection of the usuals but they also occasionally have unique and different selections. This has been my go-to on multiple interior design projects where I needed unique materials. I didn't give it a 5 because I felt like the service could have been better.”
“This place has it All. We went to a few other suppliers and they didn't have what we needed. Because of the covid virus. So we eventually ended up here at Westside. They had everything we needed.”
“We were confused at first as to which Thompson we needed to go to first and why there were two. The other location (just a couple blocks away) is the "Design" part, or the showroom really. This location here is where you actually purchase and pick up the supplies.We were able to find everything we needed for our projects at Thompson. We made several trips; scoops of base and sand, sacks of material, and pallets of pavers. Fairly quick to get everything too, not a long wait ever, if any.The staff at this materials location is definitely not as friendly or helpful as the Design location, but then they aren't trying to get your business, at this point they already have it. The people at the counter are still nice enough and fairly helpful, depending on who you talk to. The workers in the back getting the scoops and pallets are quick and get the job done fast, they are the backbone!Pricing is great! And took hardly any time to get what we needed. Keep in mind you have to actually look at the designs and decide what you want at the Design location then order and pay for your items at this location, so that's where it got slightly confusing. And maybe because on our first trip there, the computers were down, so things were a bit amiss.However, if just getting scoops or non-design items then you can go directly to this location to get that type of material. See? It's a bit confusing, but you'll catch on. If we can, anyone can!See you next time!”
