Pretty standard post office. Just do the minimum and take no one even a minute late. Standard retail. Could not even help locate missing tracked packages. Sad that ok is the normal standard. Loved the old workers here who went above and beyond.

My mom had put a stamp which was worth twice the rate of a regular stamp and was sad when he made me pay for another stamp..I thought is was a regular stamp but it wasn't so I didn't notice and he should have! I paid him more money to send my mom's mail and he should have looked at the stamps value and not charged me. He also asked me to return a letter that was put in my mailbox addressed to a different address completely and a different name to my Post Office..I told him the mail man had delivered twice to my house! I said send it to the correct house I don't want to drive to another PO. He finally agreed to take it. Why should it be my problem. I had put it in the outgoing mail after getting it in my mailbox with the flag up and my stupid mailman just didn't even look at it and put on my mailbox again!!! Didn't even look to see the address was a different street, number, and name!!! So why ask me to any more than leave it at ANY post office? So d**** Not my problem. It was someone else's gas company bill. Sheesh!!!

Rosie is everything!!! She is the go to expert for all my shipping questions & always handles my postal needs in a timely professional manner. Even seemingly understaffed to help her, Rosie always maintains a very warm, friendly disposition. More than efficient at her job, she is worth waiting for the excellent customer service. Somebody give that gal a raise!

The Post Office website indicated that it closed at 5:30 and when we rushed to get there the woman (Aracely) said that it closed at 5:00. Aracely was very rude and told us to go to the La Canada post office which ended up being closed!

Tom's the goal for PO service. We live in La Canada and avoid the LC PO and travel further to Montrose. The culture at La Canada PO is stagnant, whereas Montrose PO persons are helpful and seem happy to interact with you and give you confidence in their service.

12/09/2022: This is my local post office. It is very small, not open extended hours and often there is a line. That being said, the staff have their job description down and really do perform a step or two above that. They are very efficient, patient and helpful . I've never had to wait long to be assisted. Street parking is relatively easy to find as well as the large surface lot for the Montrose Shopping Park. You may have to walk a bit further, but it's good exercise.If your schedule can accommodate a 9 AM to 5 PM Mon-Fri post office, this is the place for you. If not, the La Canada-Flintridge post office is about a 10 minute drive east, and they are open Saturdays.

Tom is a great guy. Friendly and helpful. I wish this was my branch, coz they got some real jerks at my local USPS (La Canada). But anyway, Tom is great and the service here is great.
