“It's an excellent place for young children to expand and grow. With many years of having an outstanding reputation for excellence, this small school takes personal pride in the education, safety, and development of each of its students. All of the staff and teachers know each of the students. And each student is greeted personally by name each morning!
The teachers are incredible! With years of experience, great pride, and a true desire to do the best for each child, the teaching staff excels! They are well-trained and well-versed in a wide range of behavioral and academic learning techniques, as well as being truly passionate about teaching each of their pupils. Each child gets a lot of individual attention in their classes.
Our experience has been remarkably positive, from Nursery to TK to Kinder. It was a bit overwhelming and confusing at first, especially as it was our first school at the time, but after a couple months we could see the value clearly and really began to appreciate the teachers and staff.”

2414 Lake View Ave, Los Angeles“I can't say enough about this lovely little school- our son loved it, we loved it. The social/emotional child led play based structure was exactly what our child needed after being inside for a year because of the pandemic. Gilbert and Wendy care enormously for the children, as do the other parents. It is extremely bittersweet to be moving on....If you haven't found your village yet, look no further!”

2328 Hyperion Avenue [email protected], Los Angeles“We put our 3 1/2 year old son in lyric preschool for three months while we were in LA visiting family. If we were local we would have kept him there. He learned so much in his three short months there. He loved his teachers and made good friends. I cannot recommend this school enough!”

232 N Lake Ave #100, Pasadena“As a parent with a child who has autism, it has been a hell of a journey to find a community and school that accepts and cares for my son. The owners, the managers, the teachers all have been amazing advocates for my son and have helped coordinate with our state IEP for extra care and support and therapy. We couldn't have survived these last 2 years without Mentor School and we are proud to have sent our son here. Highly recommend for all parents and kids.”

355 W Green St, Pasadena“We can't say enough amazing things about IMA. Our daughter recently graduated and we watched her thrive here. The teachers and staff were incredibly communicative throughout the program especially during the pandemic. They challenge the kids while giving them enough space to grow at their own pace. I always felt like the teachers really saw who my daughter was and helped her grow into her own. Highly recommend!”

7051 Valmont St, Tujunga“Pinewood EEC is the best preschool with a full of love! All the teachers and staff are so devoted and have big hearts for children.
We loved the fact their teaching style is very open to diversity. My daughter was the only student who speaks Japanese in the entire school but her teacher decided to give my daughter a chance to share Japanese culture and language in the class. It was such a valuable experience for my daughter.
For the last 2 years, my daughter was lucky to study under the well-organized curriculum and diverse environment offered at PEEC.
My husband and I cannot appreciate enough of their support, kindness and dedication!”
“We love this sweet little school! We were so nervous transitioning from having our daughter at home with a nanny to being in school full time but Liliya and her staff were so kind and patient. This warm and inviting Montessori environment did wonders for our child. We love seeing her in a class with kids of all ages, and have seen a marked improvement in her skills, knowledge, and confidence.”

“This is one special school. All parents are connected and all work together. The teachers are out of this world and the teaching is amazing. Hands on all over the board. Constant communication and lots of respect. Love love the school.”
“An absolutely amazing school - a magical place for little ones! Both my children attend Happy Birch and I couldn't wish for a better place. Beautiful space, fantastic teachers.. just the best of the best.”
“Our experience at PLAY has truly been a dream come true—it’s an amazing preschool that really has it all: exceptional teachers and caregivers, a beautiful campus, flexible offerings, and a diverse and inclusive community. We will cherish our time with Miss Martha, Miss Veronica, and the whole bunch for years to come! The programming at PLAY is incredibly well-rounded and makes room for everything you could want from a preschool experience. Our daughter was given hands-on academic attention, social-emotional encouragement and guidance, and access to a steady stream of inventive activities. She loved going every day, begged to stay as long as she could, and really learned so much.I know there are lots of factors involved when choosing a preschool for our children, but I really respected that PLAY wasn’t trying to be flashy or trendy. They were committed to making sure our child was ready for elementary school in all the ways that mattered most, and we couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who made that possible.”
“It is a really good school, I love it . Both the classes and teachers are really good and helpful. I wish they had a kindergarten as well too .I miss the school and their staffs.”

1302 N Glenoaks Blvd, Burbank“The pre-school and congregation have been incredibly warm and inviting to my family as new Burbank residents. The friendly staff and engaging programming make it an ideal place for children to help them learn and grow. I could not recommend BTEE more!”
“We've been with Discovery Days since they first opened in Bellevue. Now, 3 kids and 7 years in, I can't express enough how grateful I am for this school. All of my kids attended since they were infants with one as early as 12 weeks old! You can rest assured your baby is in good hands. Each time we move up a class, it's a bitter sweet moment for all of us as the connections the children have made with the teachers go beyond being taken care of.Every teacher we've had was not only highly skilled but also genuinely invested in the well-being and development of my kids. Their love for what they do truly shows in the effort and support they put into each child. Their unwavering love and patience through difficult phases is commendable and heartwarming. I love that the school has great communication, keeping us updated on daily activities with pictures and comments throughout the day. The staff is always available to address any concerns or queries promptly, and they regularly keep parents informed about the curriculum and upcoming events. I wholeheartedly recommend Discovery Days Preschool to any parent seeking an exceptional early learning experience for their child. It's a place where laughter, love, and learning intertwine, providing a solid foundation for life beyond the campus gates. The owners have created a preschool that truly goes above and beyond to foster an environment where children thrive, learn, and blossom into confident individuals. Thank you, Discovery Days Preschool, for making our children's preschool years truly magical!”
“My son has been going to this school since July of last year. He was just 2 at the time. The teachers are patient and loving. He loves Mrs. E and Mrs. Vero. He made so many friends there. Every day he wakes up asking if he is going to school. He loves it there.”
“So happy I found abc! My daughter was in speech therapy and not only did they have accommodations for her if her therapist needed to come to the school but they also have amazing teachers! Ms. Anna and Christina give me daily updates on how my daughter does in class and they help with potty training. I had concerns about sending my daughter to school because finding a place that actually had a real curriculum and doesn’t keep them inside all day is so hard to find. The school is clean and they have a beautiful yard for the kids to play in.Also love how you can always teach someone to talk to your are not treated like just another number.”
“Our oldest is in his second year at All Children Great & Small. He is so excited to go to school every morning and keeps asking to go for more hours a week. He started as a 2 year old and he's grown so much since he started. The teachers have been there for well over a decade each, so there's no high turnover and my kid feels safe and secure there. This is a play-based progressive preschool, so the kids have a lot of fun and learn at their own pace. He's grown so much in terms of his social skills and at following directions. He also just loves the creative and art component of the school. We can't wait to send our youngest!”

8040 Glenoaks Blvd, Sun Valley“I was terrified of placing my child in preschool. While I knew it was inevitable and I wanted her to learn how to interact with others at the library, I was also scared that she would feel abandoned, or that her needs wouldn't be met like I could meet them.We had this referral from our friends when Ariel was 1 and we had full-time work from home. They said "just wait until she is 2...this place is awesome and only $200 a week." Almost as soon as our daughter turned 2, we looked into it. It's a small, quaint little place full of children that remember your child's name and they're all so sweet. The women that take care of the kids are absolutely wonderful, loving, and more on the progressive side. They love when Ariel wears her RBG & Nirvana shirts. They are open to all cultures, all walks of life, and they show you how to give your child the best experience there. The establishment also has fun little newsletters & events if you care about social justice, activism, and community building in general. I had a blast with the fundraiser too. Pizza, bubbles, and a whole party!More importantly, I have seen Ariel grow so much as a human being, and she loves it. There are times where she will literally just run to the preschool and excitement for water day, or just to see her friends and go on the slide with them. She's so proud of the crafts that she does with the kids, watering the plants, and she remembers the names of the kids too. She gets invited to birthday parties, and she's so thrilled to take her lunchbox home every day. There is a sense of ownership and purpose for her that she gets to feel, just like we get when we go to work each day. This place has been a Godsend for us, this is the best place we could have for a child and at such an affordable price. We couldn't believe that this place could even exist. We do the full week price, because if we want to take her out of school - - and it's still reasonable enough to support us all for the week. When we first had Ariel, we were paying a personal friend $400 a week to watch her for 30 hours a week, and with one person it's not always reliable and sometimes she would want to take off early - understandable for one person watching one person trying to make a living. Nevertheless, our daughter didn't get to have as much contact with the regular kids each day and have interaction in the way she does now for a much cheaper price. Now we can afford more care for both kids when we need it.If you live in the Burbank, North Hollywood, or San Fernando Valley - I would highly suggest this place if your child is between 2 to 4 years of age. Our child is not even potty trained yet so we pay an extra $15 a week, but even that is next to nothing. They do also help and encourage parents with potty training too. A bunch of kids just went into kindergarten, so it's the perfect time to enroll!”

3216 W Victory Blvd, Burbank“I have had my son enrolled here since March 2020 but he didn't attend until March 2021 due to the pandemic. My son attended the infant daycare program for a year and now in the toddler center. I have been been more than happy with this childcare facility. As an educator and new mom myself, I find myself analyzing every aspect to ensure the safety and well being of my child. I find all the teachers and assistants are extremely kind, caring and loving towards the children and students. The children have day to day activities that promote growth, development and independence. The school incorporates holiday activities and the toddlers attend church 2x a month. The director is always available and present for the children and parents. If there is request, the director handles it immediately. The overall facility may seem older than most but it's extremely sanitary, safe and well-maintained. I appreciate the safety locked double doors at the entrance. The communication with parents is excellent and I love the daily updates/pictures on the app and in the newsletter. The class parent rep have created a family environment with the parents in group chats and play dates. We all have become a family. I am including some pics to give a glimpse of activities and the facility on both sides.”
“Our daughter attended MAOC from January 2023 - March 2024 beginning in the infant class and ending in the toddler group. We cannot say enough about how wonderful, professional, kind and supportive the staff have been. The community of families is so warm and welcoming. We’re moving and will be putting our daughter into another Kindercare because of the fabulous experience we have had at MAOC. Special thanks to Ms Yolanda, Ms Lily, Ms Destiny, Ms Carolee, Ms Gladys, Ms Ronnie and all the staff for making our daughter feel loved and supported and helping her grow into the confident, bright and loving kiddo she is. We’ll never forget the gift this place has been.”

827 Houseman St, La Cañada Flintridge“Foothill Progressive is an amazing school, and my daughter absolutely loved it there! She started in April 2021 at the age of 3, and she graduated in June 2023. All the teachers were extremely welcoming and involved with the children, as well as Ms Kanthi, the director of the school. So many of the teachers have been at the school for decades, which shows just how much they enjoy helping grow these young minds. My daughter loved all the teachers, especially Ms. Fatema, Ms. Chrissy and Ms. Raquel...so much so that we visited the school last week because she wanted to tell all the teachers about her new school, but also how much she missed them all!If you do attend Foothill Progressive Montessori, which I highly recommend, you should consider taking the extracurricular activities. Ms. Fatema's science class and Ms. Kim's art class were fantastic, and exceeded all my expectations. And both teachers would send pictures home each week of my daughter completing the art or science project. In addition, my daughter participated in the dance class and sports class, and thoroughly enjoyed them both as well. All in all, I can't say enough positive things about Foothill Progressive Montessori and the positive impact it has had on my daughter's life.”

1800 E Mountain St, Pasadena“My son has been going here since the beginning of the year, and thanks to Ms. Janel and her amazing team, he is thriving. Not only have they helped him get over his separation concerns daily, but they are so attentive to each child's needs, and very communicative and responsive when it comes to progress updates and questions. My wife and I are so happy we decided to send him to Our School, and we can't wait to see the continued growth in all areas, both social and educational!”

4490 Cornishon Ave, La Cañada Flintridge“Hogg's hollow was the best decision I made for my kids' younger years. They have a unique outdoor program catered specially for hands on learning with the aim for kids to become more independant and confident about their abilities. Field trips, science experiments, organized cultural events, outdoor classrooms, art rooms are just a few of their curriculum activities that keeps it exciting for the kids. In addition to this, year round access to the adjacent track field where the kids have daily biking lessons and enjoy track and field days are an excellent source of daily exercise. Lastly, the teachers at Hogg's hollow have been the same since my oldest started with them ..which was several years ago..this is an indication of a healthy school environment for teachers and kids. To parents of young kids, gives this school a chance before you exploring anything else.”

3212 La Crescenta Ave, Glendale“We sent both our children to Bright Start and had a great experience. What truly makes Bright Start exceptional is the kindness of the teachers - they really care about the children. The teachers are warm, welcoming, and nurturing. Even when our children went through typical difficulties, the teachers and staff were patient and helpful. When our eldest transitioned to a new classroom and had trouble sleeping, his previous teachers came at nap time to help comfort him. Our younger child had separation anxiety for her first few weeks, and everyone from the teachers to the director took turns holding her to help her through her rough patch. Overall, the school is clean, the staff is communicative, and the environment is very kid-friendly. We are grateful Bright Start was part of our village for 2.5 years.”

10512 Magnolia Blvd, North Hollywood“Joyce's preschool has been an invaluable part of our family's journey. With two daughters who thrived under their care until elementary school and now a son happily attending, we appreciate the nurturing environment, dedicated staff, and enriching activities that have played a crucial role in our children's development. Joyce's is a second home where our kids feel loved, safe, and are given the foundation for a bright future.”
“Haykazunyadz is the pinnacle of foundation education for children. My son Alex has been attending at a very young age, and his development as a 4 year old is off the charts today. Aside from the curriculum, amenities, cleanliness and safety which is second to none, the number one reason my child goes here is the passion and devotion of the staff. They truly treat and educate the children like their own, and outside of my home, i trust no one else more to care for my kids. My newborn daughter will be the next child ready to attend when she is at the right age.”
