I owe a lot to Mr. Tariq and his La Crescenta Kumon Center. They have been wonderful with my kids. We've been going for a few years now and both kids continue to excel in math at school and have 1000% confidence when it comes their math skills. So much so that my daughter recently placed top 4 in the district wide math competition for her grade level. They are both in the 99% in all State standardized math tests and I truly believe its because of Kumon, specifically the support, care and teaching from the La Crescenta location. We can't be more grateful!

The only thing these people taught my daughter was never taught at school. It just gave her math anxiety and she felt like she couldn't get anythingof right. They don't help at all. Just drown your child in "corrections" for infinity.

I took my son and daughter by the names of Mikey and Isabella and this place is absolutely unacceptable, they yell at my children and they took away my son's phone because he was crying and wanted to let me know what was going on, I wouldn't suggest it anymore, Mathnasium is a way better option.

My daughter started attending Kumon in the Summer of 2020. When we started the instructor was up front with us that the program could take a year of consistent effort to show results. After six months we are already seeing dramatic improvements, including an increase in both scores at school and confidence all around. The staff at Kumon La Crescenta helped so much and we will be eternally grateful.

My daughter has been attending Kumon at the La Crescenta location for a little less than a year. Everyone who works there is great at what they do and show the utmost professionalism. We are very pleased with our daughter’s progress in math and English. The program has been amazing, especially during summer because it helps her from forgetting math and English concepts she learned during the school year. At this point, my daughter has passed the level of math that she was taught in her grade at school.

Our son goes to a parochial school in Crescenta Valley. In 3rd grade and then in 6th grade, his teachers advised that he was ahead of class in math. In each instance, they advised that we enroll our son in Kumon as this would help him more quickly advance his studies. The first time we heard this, we stupidly ignored the advice because we didn't feel there was that big a problem. The 2nd time the 6th grade teacher told us this, we decided to take the advice and go enroll little "Johnnie" in Kumon. He was just so bored with 6th grade math. Well, I admit, we were a little worried when the La Crescenta Kumon center advised after testing to put our son at the 5th grade level? Like, WTF man??? He is supposed to be ahead of 6th grade. But anyway we just trusted Mr. Tariq because he is the expert. We just made our son work on Kumon at least 30 minutes a day and go to the center 2 times a week, even on vacation and birthdays....but not Christmas! Well fast forward to 8th grade. It was time to participate in the academic decathlon. Little Johnnie represented his school for mathematics at an academic decathlon competition with super smart kids from all over Southern California. Our son ended up taking 3rd place in the mathematics event, which was the highest award a student from this school had ever achieved in the 20 year history of competing in this decathlon. Of course, we had asked the Kumon teachers for a little extra help prior to the event, but OMG!!! This place is wonderful. Then little Johnnie had to take a placement exam to get into his high school of choice. This exam is given every year to all the kids that want to get into top private high schools across the country. Our son scored in the top 99th percentile of all the kids taking this test across the country. Now, being his dad, I was never very good at math, but I at least know that I don't think it's possible to score in the 100th percentile because of statistics or something but I do know that the La Crescenta Kumon Center gets a huge amount of credit for helping our son score at the top of our expectations. Worth every penny!

This Kumon is the best tutoring place that I can refer to any parent. I have my two kids going there for couple of years now. Both kids became very successful and ahead in math not too long after they got involved. Their teaching methods and experiences make your kids succeed in a very short period of time. Staff has always been very nice and very supportive. The instructor will not let your kid leave the kumon place until he or she understands and knows how to solve the problems. He is available to all parents all the time with any questions and concerns. The best place ever. Thank you Tariq for all you did for my kids.
