“The Garland is the nicest, cleanest hotel we've ever stayed at in LA—everything was spotless and felt so fresh and welcoming. The staff was phenomenal: warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful from check-in to checkout. They made our whole stay feel special. I loved the retro Hollywood vibe—it's charming, unique, and so much fun. The rooms were really nice, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The complimentary trolley to Universal Studios was a total game-changer—super convenient, ran on time, and dropped us right at the entrance. If you're heading to Universal or just want a standout spot in the area, The Garland is perfect. We can't wait to return.”

“Not far from Hollywood Boulevard, this boutique hotel felt like a local hideaway. My corner room had a view of the Hollywood Sign glowing at dusk. The lobby featured vintage vinyl tunes and local art. Staff suggested an excellent taco truck nearby, which became one of my favorite meals. Breakfast had thoughtful flair—fresh pastries, savory scrambles, and friendly conversation included. Quiet, stylish, and full of personality”
“Absolutely beautiful property, I loved the room it was spacious (love love love that), loved the decor. And, the bed was really comfortable. To this hotels management team I'd say that they should look into putting a full length mirror in every room...it's always nice to look yourself over before going out. Also, 2 towels in the bathroom just doesn't cut it for me.”

Rooms we nice and well organised.
The included Continental breakfast was underwhelming, but when we ordered scrambled eggs they were very nice.
Unfortunately they forgot to make our room on the last night and we were out all day. When we informed them they sent a set of fresh towels up immediately, which was good.
Bar is great but a little pricey.
Pool area is nice, clean and easy to hang out in.
Overall I would stay there again.”
“Great front desk staff and bellmen. There was an unbelievable amount of luggage in the luggage storage room in the lobby, yet the bellmen kept it all straight - we had absolutely no issues. Great luggage storage management is a must, especially if you arrive at the hotel before your check-in time or need to leave your luggage before it's time to depart the hotel.”

“The Chateau was full due to the Grammys, so we checked in across the street—what a lucky find! Very personable yet stylish, with a great balance of renovation and preservation. Excellent mixology, and an even better breakfast (served until 11). Valet parking was seamless, and the pool was perfect. We’ll definitely be back ASAP.”
“What a clean and hip boutique motel. The breakfast pastries were great. The room was perfect for me and my wife. So many restaurants within walking distance. We stayed here a couple of nights to visit Universal Studios and was very pleased with the proximity. Staff were friendly and always helpful. Would stay here again.”

“For our wedding-Had bridal suite and rooms blocked for guests. Overall great experience. Staff were attentive, helpful, friendly, loved the personal touches with welcome frame at front desk for guests/wedding, and the hotel has nice areas for bridal photos including front lobby area and in suite. Smaller hotel with smaller beds/room, but in great location and offers breakfast. Great timely responses from sales staff for months prior. Would stay here again!”
“Great Hotel, the location is close to universal studios straight shot to the park really easy to get there. It was not a bad drive to get to Hollywood walk of fame or rodeo drive from this location. The hotel was well maintained very clean and the staff were very polite and had great customer service. We did try the in-room breakfast it was okay”
“We stayed one night to celebrate a special occasion. The Montrose is a boutique hotel with limited staff but they do the job. It's ideal for guests who don't need a lot and just want to sleep somewhere quiet but close enough to walk to some action. It's located minutes away from the heart of We Ho. The pool on the roof is enjoyable albeit small. It is more of a sip and dip pool than a swimming pool. They do have comfortable lounge furniture so on a sunny day, it is ideal for a nap before heading out for the evening. The rooms are comfortable and clean and I love the body lotion and shower gel. Parking is expensive $50+ per night so find street parking if you want to save some cash.”

“Loved this place! You can really feel the history the moment you walk in. Everyone looks at you like you might be a celebrity—which honestly made me feel like one. The decor is iconic and feels like a time capsule, transporting you straight back to the glamour of the 70s. The ambiance is effortlessly cool, with a mysterious, old Hollywood charm you can’t replicate. The room service was excellent—everything arrived quickly and was beautifully prepared.

“Been here many times over about 5 years. The bar at the pool often has different hours than advertised/ posted and they still don't have room service or food service at the pool according to the staff I spoke to. Sucks because nearly everyone at the pool would order food if they could. This poor valet had to enter my card information by hand because the device they use is broken and management apparently hasn't replaced it. Seemed strange and unfair to them. Also one of the soap dispensers in the bathroom has been broken for many weeks. Sometimes the wood keys don't work, have had to get them replaced minutes after being issued, and the door to the pool deck seems broken from time to time. Hard to get in, or out. With a few small tweaks, i'm sure there r others needed too, would be in 5 star territory. I also think they should hire more valets as there is typically a line/ wait to drop off and to pick up cars even during the day.”
“All are great. Perfect package to have a free Airport shuttle to and from the airport and a free shuttle to and from Universal Studios. The entire stay was peaceful and amazingly incredible family vacation. Every time we use the pool it’s like a private time just for us family, it was great!! Closer to a lot of eating places. I’d say the Olive’s Bistro Restaurant seems wonderful, however pricing is a bit high. We saved on by getting Uber delivery from multiple breakfast places nearby like IHop and Basecamp. Taco Bell and Pizza Hut are nearby too..can’t go wrong with Nacho fries and pizza -Night snack ?”

The vibe in general is bb very relaxing and chill. Room was incredibly comfortable and they even have Roku tvs so you're not stuck watching bs cable television. 10/10 and will be staying here again when I return next month”

“The Langham Huntington is such a beautiful hotel that is hidden, as it is surrounded by a residential area. I have visited this hotel twice during this month. I came earlier this month for a conference and then I came back with my husband and our little girl dog to walk the grounds and have a nice meal (both The Hideaway Pool Bar and The Terrance are dog friendly, both by the pool. And yes this hotel is also dog friendly in which you may bring your dogs with you when you stay, for an additional fee). Both visits were enjoyable and the staff I interacted with were very friendly and always ready to provide any help or answer any questions if I had any. Staff were also always in smiles when they saw me with my little girl. We enjoyed walking through and taking photos in the Japanese Garden and also in the Horseshoe Garden after lunch. We also enjoyed sitting and relaxing in the tap room, which has a lovely view of the Horseshoe Garden. Most of the hotel was very beautiful, however part of the hotel currently is under construction, with a new pool that will be added and won't be open until later this year. When I came for a conference, it was held in one of the ballrooms. It was nice that each chair came with one of The Langham Huntington's pretty pink pens and notepads for note taking (I saw that other conference attendees took those pink pens when the conference was over from empty chairs). Since this conference was an all day event, breakfast and lunch was provided. I enjoyed the food options that the conference had chosen and thought the food was good overall (although there was a mushroom soup that was very salty that I did not like). The nearby restrooms downstairs from the ballroom were always very clean. As for parking, for day visits, it is rather expensive. Valet seemed to be the only option in which it cost $25. However I was very fortunate for the conference that I attended to have valet included (the conference I attended was sponsored by a large company in which I didn't have to pay for anything). And I was also very lucky to receive an extra validation from the conference to have another day of free validation (which is why I came here for another visit with my husband and our little girl). Overall, I had a great experience with both of these very different visits and am glad that I was able to bring my dog and my husband with me on the last one.”

“My cousin reserved our room for our 2-night stay because we’re not from the US, and coming in from Yosemite on a long drive. This place was magical after arriving just before midnight. It was a tiring drive but the hotel made us rest really well. That tapsilog breakfast, albeit steaks and eggs in real life with rice is glorious. We will stay here again soon, hopefully in the next FIFA World Cup.”
“I can’t brag about this hotel enough. What a wonderful experience we had staying here for the rose parade! Continental breakfast is fantastic. The staff is so wonderful (Diane was absolutely great helping me reserve my rooms). This location is so close to so many great restaurants. The rooms are simple but really just perfect. “We called for towels and nothing, 1 hour we call them back but still nothing 30 minutes later call them again and they say oh really I thought they were already delivered and then they said they were gonna deliver them but 30 minutes later still nothing we called them back, but they were snappy with us. luckily someone let us use their USED towels.”

“We spent several days at The Charley over the Christmas holiday and would give them 10 stars if we could! Our visit was absolutely perfect, in every respect. After we booked, they reached out to coordinate our arrival, and the staff continued to shine throughout our stay. The lady who greeted us, and the gentleman who was in the office for the next few days, were both consummate professionals and incredibly friendly. They took care of anything that we needed, in the least impactful way possible. The housekeeping staff was, similarly, very responsive and efficient. The property, itself, is spectacular. It is a wonderful relic of old Hollywood and located in a great neighborhood. We stayed in the Oscar suite, which was beautifully appointed, quiet, and so comfortable. The Charley is a class act and we thank you for making our visit so enjoyable. We look forward to the next one!”
