“Highly recommend Sofa Interiors. I'm not one to write reviews but wanted to leave one for SF due to their excellent craftsmanship and service. Scott (owner) took the time to meet with me and carefully explain the work they would be doing on my mission-style furniture. They picked up the furniture, completed the work beautifully and delivered the whole set on time, maybe a day or two early. Left me a loaner too!
There was a minor creaking sound when sitting on one end of the sofa. They followed up and came to the house and fixed that promptly. I couldn't be happier with the service they provided!”

“Maya and her team are among the kindest, best people I worked with for my wedding. I brought them a MillaNova dress from Viero Bridal in Pasadena that needed quite a bit of work to fit my vision - top alterations, taking in the waist, hem and bustle, etc. and I wanted custom sleeves. Through my many fittings, Maya and her team were always professional and kind, and above all were creative and solution oriented. Any issue I had or problem we ran into, Maya was equipped to solve it. The alterations were quite expensive, but I wouldn't trust anyone else to do what Maya did to my dress. Thank you, Maya and team, for bringing my vision to life! I felt like an absolute dream on my wedding day, thanks to you.”
“There are people in the comments claiming you shouldn't go anywhere other than Foam Mart in Burbank for all your foam needs. This is certifiably NOT TRUE.
Foam Mart also has a second location in Culver City and they are wonderful there too!”

“We went to Leanna Lin’s last month and felt the need to share a positive review! The shop is small but filled with so many cute goodies and collectibles from AAPI artists. I loved the cards and books in many languages, and especially appreciated the ones in Tagalog. The sales associate at the counter was also friendly and warm. The biggest perk of this shop (and a major reason we’ll choose to go to her business over others) is the affordability of collectibles. Smiskis/Sonny Angels are marked up like crazy in so many places in LA and she sells them at a reasonable price, thus allowing for increased accessibility despite its extreme popularity. It makes the drive up here from the west side worth it. Highly recommend going here for the large selection of collectibles!”

“When I shop for gifts outside of my neighborhood (East Hollywood), Retreat is my go-to. Diane, the owner, has curated a wonderful collection of jewelry, art prints, cards and fun gifts for virtually any occasion. Despite this shop's relatively small size, it is packed with goodies. My go-to is always the card section, where I invariably find a card for an upcoming birthday or, even better, the perfect card for a friend who could use a pick-me-up or a good laugh. My stationary drawer is packed with Retreat cards that I've got on the ready and I am very grateful. There is a great range of options in terms of price. You can find very fun patches and charms for around ten dollars. If you are looking a bit higher-end, there is a lovely collection of jewelry: but you are definitely paying for quality work that will be appreciated. Diane and the various employees are invariably friendly and eager to help you find something perfect for your friend or family.”

“The store itself is just beautiful. Everywhere you look, there’s something unique and beautifully crafted. The prices are very reasonable too! I’d definitely recommend coming here if you’re looking for a one of a kind gift.
They also have your staples too. For example: I noticed a display with an assortment of colorful candles for only $1.50 each. I’ve seen some stores charge as much as $10 for the same thing! Little things like that make me more inclined to trust a business and return, which I definitely plan on doing soon!”

“I've been shopping here for years and OK consistently surprises me with utilitarian objects that inspire and spark joy as they say. Was recently on a run around the lake and thought I'd dip in for a look and left with a trash can and a wooden bedside clock with old timer hands which I am obsessed with as it's helping me with my nocturnal screen addiction :) Staff is always exceptional and even if I don't buy anything I leave feeling uplifted. “This is truly a gem in HLP! They sell truly special curated items -- perfect gifts. I got some Flowerhead Teas and super cute clothes for my children at an amazing price. I got so many compliments. Get on their email list because they frequently have special surprises for subscribers. The workers are also super nice and offered me a neighborhood discount since I live in the area. Their wrapping/packaging is also super cute. They included stickers and cute tissue paper in my online order (which I could pick up in store to save on shipping!)”

“This store changed hands earlier this year. It’s a good thing. My husband had a bad experience here several years ago and didn’t want to come back. Today we had a great time. I had come in on Friday and bought a few things. One thing had a problem and I called and they said to come in and they would exchange it. Yay. We went in and my husband wanted to look around. The two sales associates Reem and Clara Belle were very kind to us both and we had a lot of fun! My husband kept finding more things! The Hallmark ornaments are all so fun and well made. They also have a great selection of Jim Shore collectibles. We’re happy customers. We’ll be back when my wallet recovers!”
