I heard the service with director is not good, but did not realize beyond my surprise!I was member and very supportive Y because it is non-profit organization. But when I was a member, I experienced lots of thieves in this Y, even when you in fit room turned around people took your belongings. One time I got a senior, she answered, “I THOUGHT IT WAS MY FRIEND.”Then one day when I was taking shower after Zumba class at noon, i overheard the shouting, “how long are you going to be there (handicapped shower room)”. After my shower I saw there was a female senior with walker and caregiver waiting outside the handicapped shower. I was friendly saying, “oh, I understand your frustration. There is only one handicapped larger room”. The caregiver surprised me by replied, “what are you talking about! I do not understand you!”. I tried in Spanish in small ….then she pushed me unexpectedly and I was tumbling down, almost fell. Then I called for help. She rain off to front desk, come back accusing me pushed her with witness! After I dressed up, I went to front desk reported what happened truthfully, but no use. I was suspended and never use this, all three foothills facilities. I tried and reached many times to talk and emailed supervisor, even director. All was the same answers. It is my community, especially after I built up the relationships with instructors and exercisers together. I felt depressed and searched what is this so called NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION. Then more disappointed, none of CEO care or work or has connection # to.I did give many suggestions about improving the Y, but these suggestions turned out only for them to against me!

There is a very serious problem with the material YMCA used for the flooring in weight room. It is like processed used tire rubber type which could be releasing carcinogen in the air and it smells. Also, there is not enough air circulation and it is kind of stuffy. The equipments are great and I love them. I hope YMCA takes this issue seriously and change the floor material ASAP. There should be more fans to circulate the fresh air from the outside studies about the rubber floor material used for the flooring.

I purchased a Pilates class and set a timer to register for it right away when the class I wanted opened up, but couldn't register. I kept getting a message that I didn't have any available sessions on my account. I phoned for help, was transferred to a supervisor whose voicemail was on. I phoned back and was transferred to the other facility, and their voicemail came on. No one helped or tried to problem solve. Now, they just keep ignoring my calls. This is not good customer service at all. The App doesn't work, and neither does the online registration.

Lived in LCF 20 years. This place is always closed. Closed today Saturday for staff parties. Closed every day Sunday all day. All of the Pilates classes are extra On top of the $120 a month I’m already paying for a family membership. The parking is bad. No parking currently because of Christmas Tree lot. I could join 24 hour fitness and be paying $10 a month! I think I’m going to buy some free weights and rethink this membership. Again.

Was verbally assaulted and they did nothing about it. I was an employee and they allowed a patron to curse and yell transphobic slurs at me. Multiple witnesses and they still did nothing. Not a safe space for queer people.

They close the outdoor pool so often and charge $81 a month to where I am paying like $10 each time I go. When it's windy or a bit cold, they close it. Just get a damn pool cover. They make the lifeguards clean the pool of so much debris from the mts. it's stupid! Just cover it and then open the pool so we seniors can get our swim aerobics class. Pay a real Pool person to clean it. The lifeguards are there to watch over us, not pull debris put of the bottom of the pool for 3 hours! Inane waste of time and prevents us from getting in our aerobic swim class. They close this pool as often as they can making up excuses. I will be quitting all winter, why? Because they close my pool. The indoor pools stink and are dirty and overcrowded. The admin at the top get their huge salaries while the workers get less than $20 an hour. Rent and so on is so high they cannot employ enough people who want to stay. And then ask for donations. I doubt any money is actually used for what they say. Greedy men at the top. Sexist and treat employees like slaves.

RUN! This place was the best now its THE WORST gym. I’ve been going here for 10 years.1. They doubled pricing but cut their hours and host events that will shut down the whole gym.2. They filled the open hours in the basketball gym with kids practices and other events so it is unusable now.3. Workout equipment is falling apart, unorganized and overcrowded.4. Most staff is ok, others are rude, unfriendly and on multiple occasions have turned off the lights on purpose while people are inside (illegal and very dangerous for a family friendly gym)About 50 other guests I know have felt the same and left. Trust me find another gym.

$81/mo for a small and overcrowded facility. Outrageous price. I can get 3 gym memberships for the price of the YMCA adult membership and they have better facilities! Save your money

The hours are absurd. Closes at 5pm on Saturday and closed all day Sunday. I have a job. So these hours don't work for me. I'm paying $150/month for a family membership. So I'm ending my membership. Again. Ugh.

Great facility! I come to swim and I am always greeted by the staff and they are always ready to help. I especially appreciate Mathew the lifeguard at the pool he has such a great attitude and really makes me glad to have come to workout! I really appreciate good people like Mathew who really does what he can to accommodate all who come to swim

A totally different experience pre vs post covid. The hours have been significantly reduced, facilities remain unavailable, equipment in shoddy condition, and staff is very rude. But the price is still much higher--$50 a month compared to the 30-40 from much better competitors. You'll notice dumbbells falling apart or improperly labeled, equipment old and rusted, and corners cut everywhere to cheap out leaving you feeling like you're paying for a sub-rate gym. Worst of all, though, is that they have a closed training session with equipment that is virtually unused. They'll leave better equipment inside and locked for the entire day, or only for one-on-one sessions where one or two machines are used and the entirety of the equipment is left unused. Some of the staff are nice about it, but one older guy in particular will yell at anybody asking to borrow and return it.Don't waste your money or your time and go elsewhere. 5 years ago this was a really great and affordable gym, good for family or single individuals, today it's probably the worst gym in the area.

Expanding their hours to open at 5 on weekdays has made a world of difference for me and anyone else who needs to get their workout in early before getting to their job. Faculty is always clean and maintained. Many great programs for kids and a staff who makes you feel welcome. I wish they could go back to being open on Sundays too - hopefully in the future!
