Thought this would be a good place to have my son learn programming. Most often he's just left alone to go through the web based curriculum, which is understandable as there are often only 2 or 3 instructors for 15-20 kids. I always thought the advantage was that he would be at minimum supervised in a safe setting. However, I noticed last time he was there, he was playing internet based games. Kinda upset that there wasn't more supervision of what he was doing. After speaking with one of the instructors, his attitude seemed ambivalent to the game playing. We decided to disenroll.

Before Covid, Ucode was one of the best coding programs for kids. Subsequently, they have gone online and now, there is no longer any parental communication about children's progress, poor quality control of courses, and little accountability. It is difficult to impossible to get a hold of anyone in person about questions or concerns. Don't be surprised if an issue, which could be an error in their coding program or website is met with "well this is how it is or we are still working on it" while you watch it persist for weeks.

I don't know if this place is still open. There are still computers and equipment at the location; however I called several times no one ever answered or called back.

Avoid at all costs. They continued to charge my card for months after the services ended. They have promised to refund the money but never do. Shame on them!

My son has been taking classes at UCode since Summer 2019. Even during this pandemic, they have offered a variety of online classes which are taught with enthusiasm. I have seen my son's interest and improvement in coding increase dramatically.They recently wrote a personal recommendation for my son which has been a great support.

My son has been going to Ucode La Canada for 2 years not and he has learned quite a bit of coding. This is a great foundation for the future to learn coding, it is also a good investment for the future of your child. They are receptive to the ideas and they help the student to overcome challenges. I recommend Ucode.
