I am so glad I came back to this salon. Missy Castro is awesome! I read her reviews and decided to give her a try for coloring my blond hair. As many of the reviews stated - She is a blond specialist. So true. My hair has never looked this good. I couldn't be happier. She does an amazing job and really listens to you. Will keep coming back.

I recently got my hair dark brown hair balayage-d with Michelle at the salon and she is INCREDIBLE!!! Love my color, love my cut :) Michelle is super cool, has an amazing eye for style and listened to exactly what I wanted. She left my length as I wanted and just body with textured layers. She is soooo efficient and quick so the process was smooth and easy. I love how the color turned out - its that perfect bronde/caramel brown balayage :) She then also added some extra lighter pieces to frame my face. Love Love her hair and the extra effort she put in to make me walk away happy!!!!

I had my hair done the other day here at Bruce K Smith Salon by Missy Castro (I got a touch up on my balayage highlights, and got my bangs trimmed and framed). It's the third time I've had my hair done by her, and she always does such an amazing job! I always describe and show pictures to her of what I want done, and she always delivers and understands what I would like. I've had an amazing experience here and totally recommend her services! I've been having my hair done by Bruce for many, many years. It is so inspiring to see what he has done in his career and the beautiful salon he has built and now redesigned. He could cut my hair with his eyes closed but he is especially talented with color!! On top of all of this, he is an incredible human being that genuinely cares about each person he meets. I feel extremely blessed to count Bruce as my dear friend.

Bruce is a local gem. Hes talented, knowledgable, easy to work with and has a rock steady work ethic. Been with him 10 years and we have evolved as my hair changes something I cant say about anyone else ive worked with. 100% worth it.

This review is for Missy. I had highlights done by her about a month ago. An inch and a half back on my entire front hair line, ear to ear has broken off and is an inch long. It came off during the first wash after I had it done, it was horrifying. I was told by my stylist from San Diego that the reason this happens is when a stylist overlaps the color onto already lightened hair. It will take years to get my hair back to one length. I'm so disappointed and frankly angry. Stylists should know better, this is color 101. I've had my hair highlighted for 35 years and this is the first time this is happened.

The salon is beautiful and everyone is friendly and professional. Missy asked me what I wanted and gave me her opinion when I asked her for it, unlike many hair stylists that try to push a hair style on you. I was happy with my hair cut and color. Missy has an upbeat personality.

This place is so cute! It's very clean, the staff is super friendly, and they are very professional. This review is more for Taylor Aikens! Taylor is the BEST! ABSOLUTELY LOVED MY EXPERIENCE!!! My hair stylist Missy Castro , was an angel !!! I have ridiculously thick hair and she was so patient! I had stylists in the past who would give up and go fast just to be done with my hair but Missy did not ! She knows how to keep a conversation going as well ! She was so sweet and gentle ! I will definitely be back !
