“We compared stores in the area, going with Safeway as they had a coupon for $30 off, which our grocery order was eligible for, but was baited and switched when we checked out. The promo was not applied once I checked out, although it showed the total with the discount included before I paid. Customer service (representative and supervisor) had no idea that their policies state all coupons and promos are reflected at checkout and kept insisting that after my order was “completed” (translation- picked up and $30 more) they could “validate” whether the code was applied and possibly give store credit. We don’t even have Safeways where we live, we’re on a trip. Policy also states the store is able to adjust or correct any promos that are deemed ineligible after the order is placed, yet they can’t adjust it when it’s an error on their part. Very suspicious business practices.

“Get Roy's Sausages while you are here. Picked up some Cheddar Jalapeño & Pork Sausages on my way to camp at Lucia Memorial. They were absolutely delicious and I stopped on my way out to pick up more of the same and some Chicken Chorizo. Staff was friendly.”
