“Not only are the workers sweet but this store has things you need and things you didn’t even know you needed! This store has everything from dependable appliances to expensive makeup for one dollar. The workers are so nice and helpful, I find people complain that the workers don’t open mystery boxes on dollars days but this is because there is so many people that come here that they can’t open several boxes for each person. Every other day they open mystery boxes for us with no probelm. This place is my holy grail!!!”

“This location on Prescott, the Hatch location in Ceres and the Grocery Outlet in Manteca are Fantastic. I previously worked at two Grocery Outlets as well and the Company blessed me in 2012 with $1000.00 to stay home and take care of my mother when she was diagnosed with Lung cancer. The company, Grocery Outlet Bargain Market is debt free. Not many companies can say that. They go all over to buy products for all of us as customers to get us the best deals. Nothing is expired ever and they have vendors who partner with Grocery Outlet like Sara Lee , Bimbo and more. I am not paid to say this and I can tell you that, previously working at two Grocery Outlets changed my perspective greatly about the company and who they choose as there candidates for Owner/Operators. Excellence is in everything they are shooting for and trying to achieve. Everytime you walk into the Grocery Outlet in Manteca or Grocery Outlet in Modesto on Prescott or the newest Location on Hatch Rd in Ceres. Always know that the Owners/Operators work very hard everyday to make sure your getting the best deals.”
“Sometimes you can find really good prices just watch the dates .They have a great wine selection reasonable priced. There frozen Salmon is wild caught and tastes really good.”
“The staff here are all awesome and friendly. Pet friendly which is fantastic for my two fur babies that I take in with me from time to time. This is my #1 go to on the West side of Modesto for any time of the day snacks among other products they provide. Thank you and hats off to the wonderful staff here. “Okay so... I was unpleasantly surprised that Dollar General is not a $1 only store, but it does have good prices. I went at night and was scared I might be in a bad area, but most of the customers were families with children or teenage girls. All the cashiers at the time were women so I felt safe there. Nice selection of stuff, including some tasty ice cream varieties like twinkies that you wouldn't expect to see at a mini mart. Clean, well stocked.”

“Tonight I was VERBALLY ASSALTED & MY "DEAR GOD LETTERS Books Written by Annie Fitzgerald, Author, that I purchased for $1.25 each for my new Niece/Nephew(s)'s belonging to my Nephew & Niece who are expecting their very 1st baby (Child) who live @ distance; for now were MAN-HANDELED & BENT in certain places as he became INFURIATED when I asked to PAY FOR MY OWN DOLLAR TREE BAGS & BAG the items I WAS PURCHASING using my own monies; OPM, Annuity & Retirement monies at that... He began to violently shake the empty bags and took his hand(s) putting them INSIDE THE EMPTY AND NON-EMPTY BAGS Assaulting them right in front of me as if to attempt to "DOMINATE ME AND MY BELONGINGS"... He did so with the very special and GODLY & LORDLY, DEAR GOD LETTER "Series" of baby/children's books as he intentionally bent them when they were near perfect prior to his INTENTIONAL MANHANDLING OF THEM. He looked perturbed, violent, angry, and hateful which is why I asked VERY POLITELY AND GENUINELY TO bag my own items in the "Brand New Dollar Tree Bags behind the counter". When I instructed him which is not unrealistic as I am the PAYING CONSUMER and he is the PAID EMPLOYEE there to provide "Service to those paying his "wage"; basically; it is what it is, I didn't make him work this evening, he was there & didn't even greet me as I made my way to the front of the register area after waiting my turn. He began to YELL OUTLOUD AT ME & Telling me " YOUR TOO MUCH!!!!!! YOUR TOO MUCH!!!!!! and other obscene words as if to INTIMIDATE ME WHICH HE DID PLUS HE HUMILIATED & EMBARRASSED & TRIED TO SHAME ME FOR NOT DOING WHATEVER HIS TWISTED SENSE OF SELF Wanted... He was Perverse... He didn't thank me for my business and I attached my receipt here where I purchased as a gift for my ever-helpful and ever-useful Mum, Dar T., Squalene, I understand it isn't all harvested from animals/mammals/or sharks/aquatic life and this one said it isn't tested on animals so I felt safe with the big Bunny Ears Bunny icon on the back of the bottles. I bought her 15 of them which is all I saw on the shelf as she prides herself in her "self-care regimens"; and now, these days, so do I which is why I purchased a case of 15 for myself last eve when I was here and Gio wasn't waiting on me; thank GOODNESS for that Upstairs in Heaven Blessing; thank you Lord for that gift! Whew! Still keeping this store at a 5-Star Rating as this is the first and I PRAY the LAST TIME GIO is allowed to RUN AMOK ASSAULTING INNOCENT NON-CONFRONTATIONAL PAYING & SHOPPING CONSUMERS with his HANDS AND HIS FOUL DIRTY FILTHY MOUTH! Tonight I spent $53.14 which is at least average for my weekly & at times daily shopping trips in to this location & I intentionally selected and have continued to select this location out of comfort, ease, vast array of items available for sale & the availability of a public restroom which does desperately need to be renovated & the mustiness, mold & mildew removed permanently... What a disappointment & I would like to PRESS CHARGES & HAVE an Esquirely, PROFESSIONALLY CRAFTED RESTRAINING ORDER PLACED AGAINST THIS INDIVIDUAL & against this man who posed as an employee ASAP so if there are any Contingency Esquires out there who are up to tackling this case please Private Message me on Yelp! here, ASAP. I ALSO ASKED HIM FOR A DUPLICATE PAPER RECEIPT AND HE said "NO, NO I cannot do that." I asked him more than once as I prepared to exit the store, Thank God others were in the store as I fear he may have tried to physically harm me if not for witnesses which I didn't know any of them... “Really great store. Lots of different options like gluten free at really affordable prices! Chips are 5/$1 candy ranges on days from 2/$1 to 6/$1. Soda is super cheap there from Pepsi- $5.50 or $5. They just started accepting EBT so it’s even better to make that money last longer if you have it. I go there for my snacks and vitamins (about 50% off retail)”

“This is my Main hometown store that I’ve been coming here for years and years. I can honestly say, they carry low prices, have lots of items in stock and employees are helpful.Compared to the new big WM down the street, this is my go to store for quick items or to refill my fridge. Yes lines can get long but patience is what you need. Seems like people hate waiting in long lines and are the same “road rage drivers” swerving in an out of lanes causing accidents because “their time is more valuable and in a hurry” then YOURS. So don’t listen to a review if it starts with “I waited forever or long lines” cause that’s everywhere. If you hate waiting In long lines wherever you go, why don’t you apply for a job and be a next “cashier”. LolAnyways, friendly staff, low prices, have what I need, and yes a manager was able to give my my missing “garbage can lid” that I didn’t know the one I purchased didn’t come with one. I saw the same ones with lids on them and asked and he approved me to grab a “lid”. A.though it was free, I paid for it long ago without a lid …..Now that’s EXCELLENT SERVICE RIGHT THERE!”

“I live in Washington and when I’m in town visiting family I make trips to this Dollar General for cleaning supplies. I’ve always been able to find Lysol and disinfecting wipes and stock up before making the drive back home. Can’t go wrong with that.”

Its always well stocked and the employees r very helpful and courteous.i give the 5stars 2the young man that works evenings.hes fast patient greets u when u walk in.great service. There's a lady that works that has an attitude and acts bothered if asked something.never smiles and is rude.especially to people that had a lot of stuff and customer uses the coupons.well those take a few min 2 go thru at register.she gets impatient and an attitude.not friendly.but the young man with black hair is a very good employee.”
“This store is refreshing to walk through most days. Once and awhile, shipments come in mid day or mid-shift and employees put away what they can, leaving the rest for the swing shift crew. I notice a good amount of work has been done by all shifts, managers included. A lot of smiles and eye contact. I am impressed, to say the least.”
