Been going there my hole life for pastrami samiches. I haven't been up there in a year or so, and to my surprise when I went up there yesterday to get a pastrami I was sadly disappointed to see they were closed down.. I've never seen it empty with no people especially in July. A piece of life feels like it just came to an end. I still give them 5 stars for having the best pastrami ever.

Me and My family go up the Kern river a least once a year load up the trailer take everything except the a kitchen sink I was there about a month ago I pull up to refill my propane tank and sadly I found the place closed up and didn't look like it was going to be open for awhile.. some sort of remodeling going on later I found out thru Sierra market it's been closed for about a year now

It’s a very nice place , the guys over there is very friendly, they have amazing food specially the chicken and the pizza and they are remodeling the whole store it’s will be awesome with the new decorations, it’s really five stars

Love their sandwiches and the owners are very nice. You can also purchase gas, ice cream, liquor and snacks. The perfect store for campers visiting the area. We live here and get sandwiches all the time.

Use to stop here and get (great) fried chicken since I was a kid, got some yesterday and it was complete trash. I talked up the chicken SO MUCH to some people, now I look stupid and nobody trusts me anymore..... girlfriend left me, dog died, truck got stolen (again), family disowned me ,and ran outta whiskey all cause this sh*ty chicken! (Maybe ill write a song about it?) Maybe new owners shoulda bought the old recipe when they bought the building?

Primos is owned by my brother snd his wife they are the greediest, fake phony people you will ever meet Susan my brothers wife is a thief that is why they left LA they have many many people looking for them Like a lot of people that move up to Kern to get away from lA because they have to J css as not tell you how f Ed up they are but trust me they suck as human beings So does that piece of s*** doughnut eating pig officer Luker I hope he falls asleep and spills his hot coffee on his privates F you officer luker your a discrasd go public service I'll see you again when I file a complaint

Came here to get the broasted chicken. The lady at the Deli counter is super nice!!! They're almost closing (deli closes at 3 pm) but she took in my large order. The chicken is great!!! Very crispy, not very oily. Highly recommended.

Always stop by here before heading up to north kern, they still have slush puppies after all these years and the pickled eggs are the best in the world.

Was looking for a fried chicken place and and we happened to drive by this convenient store/gas station that had like a 5' chicken on the roof and in front of the store. Sold! Marketing at its best. Don't knock them gas station fried chicken until you have tried it. That's how we found the best place on a road trip driving thru Alabama to get to Florida. The staff at Primos's was super friendly and helpful. We got an 8 piece chicken basket but they also have the whole meal if you cared for sides. The chicken is made to order and ready in about 15 minutes. It's worth the wait. See picture! Hot, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. They also have fresh baked cookies. We grabbed 2 chocolate chip. Sorry no pictures we ate them while in line. This was a perfect meal for an evening of catfishing at Lake Isabella. Only one suggestion, add a spicy fried chicken option.

Great location in Kernville for gas, propane, ice-cream, fried chicken and deli. Upgraded gas station if you will. Love the marinated mushrooms in the deli. Gifts and some fishing supplies.
