Bay Club Ross Valley is run by a great team, there are three pools, tennis courts, pickleball courts and lots of activities, including a fire pit and area to eat or hang out. The pickle ball open play is a great way to find games and meet people, they also have clinics for all levels, and the courts are well maintained. Love that there is a kid’s pool area and summer camps, and an area for adult swimming which is separate.

We joined a "pod" last year so we could use the lovely pickleball courts in Bay Club Ross Valley. This is when 5 people form a pod to share the monthly membership fee. We each paid $161/ mo. This rate has gone up three times in the last 1.5 years. We now pay $221/ mo. Apparently every 6 months our fee will increase by $20/mo. This fee policy unfortunately prices out a lot of good pickleball players and certainly many younger players. This means Bay Club mostly caters to older, affluent populations who can afford the huge initiation fee, followed by the ever increasing monthly fees. Needless to say we are now looking elsewhere to play pickleball. 6/4/24 Update Interesting because I emailed Ayyub as he suggested (see his response to this post) but not a word from him! Just saying....

My experience trying to enroll my son in tennis lessons was extremely frustrating. Upon visiting the club, I was handed a business card and told to call. Despite leaving a voicemail, there was no response. When I returned to the club, they provided an email address, but after a week of waiting, I still hadn't received a reply. This lack of communication and follow-through is disappointing and unprofessional.

Awful , the locker rooms are dilapidated. The lockers , toilets, sinks and showers are always broken . Never a day goes by without a problem . Don't bother asking if anything will be fixed , you will hear from the front desk , we reported it and it's out of our control. Recently a new "Rule" was implemented, 2 towels per person . Fortunately, signs were posted explaining the new rule apparently tennis and Pickleball players would wipe down the court surface with towels meant for people. Dues go up every few months with the promise of a renovation . No truth to a renovation it's a story to garner appeasement and to lure a new membership .

Writing this review as I sit at the Bay club redwood shores. While the pool and staff are great at the Ross Valley location, the locker room and the lockers themselves are in a state of disrepair and it's been close to a year since several lockers where broken into and no repair in sight. The showers don't function either indoor or outdoor. In comparison redwood shores is gorgeous.

My grandson Charles had his 18th birthday party at the Bay Club. We had a fabulous experience. The staff were also fabulous

The water is lovely, no chlorine, but saline instead! Staff is very friendly . This is a Club that requires a membership (I'm lucky to have been invited as a guest). Most people are friendly, a few snobs, but generally enjoyable!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Our family have been members of the Bay Club for over 8 years and through that time, the Club (Ross Valley specifically) has seen the Club digress in services (family time, food trucks, open pool time in the beginning are now non-existent) coupled with a steady rise in dues with less in services. We have tried to cancel our membership for over 5 months; we get a call, someone leaves us a message, and then NO ONE will return the call; voicemails go to nowhere and the telephone service goes round and round. Like other reviewers, especially Amanda S. I tried to reach the manager (via email and phone) of the Ross Valley club, to no avail, this is the same rhetoric, 3 years later. Incredibly disappointing experience and now, we more than likely need to seek legal action, NIGHTMARE.

Swim instructor for a children's class was a no show, and no refund was issued after multiple attempts. Another parent said their swim class had 3 swim cancellations in 2 months. If you're looking for a serious swim class, go to a real swim school - La Petite Baleen or private class elsewhere. They don't take classes seriously here. There is no customer service phone number to reach any campus, perhaps all due to cost cutting. I would change my review if the above were improved, as the facilities are nice, albeit expensive.

First of all club is overpriced. With 2/3 pools for kids adults often lose lane to children. The maintenance is sparse. At one point a deer died outside ladies locker room and it was 2-3 days to remove body and no fans installed, no members warned. The pool staff are unprofessional teens there to socialize with each other. The deck is overcrowded with unused chairs making it look stiff and y relaxing. There is no separate changing room for kids or families so rudeness abounds on ladies licker room. They don't take cash so you can't buy snack or water. When summer camp comes, there is complete, ignoring of the rights of adult members as a Club, seeks to maximize its profits . The lap pool is so shallow. You can scrape your knees on the bottom when you turn around poor construction The ladies locker room is so tiny and narrow that for women at one time completely crowd the room again there's no concern or interest in making this a viable club it's all about the money and yet they are trying to ride on the prestige of being in Ross . The turnover of management in front desk staff is dizzying so it's clear that nobody is ever really accountable for anything. They have large oversize towels which are great for the lounge chairs, but then you go into the locker room and there's no regular size towels again this is all a ploy to save money so that they can use 10 year old, striped towels, and not have to buy anything else. This could be a beautiful, set up if they attended more carefully to adults and kept the children separate

I used to work at the Bay Club, so I know just how nice it is. But after working at TRX and then Covid, I started doing most of my workouts on my own.Well today my beautiful wife gave birth to our first child, and since Marin General Hospital is right across the street, I decided to stop by.Jamie Hislop gave exceptional customer service, which reminded me why I always wanted to become a member again ?

This location is a nightmare. Overcrowded pools, kids running everywhere, dirty equipment in the small gym area, cramped and crowded locker rooms with trash cans that are spilling over with poopy diapers. Smelly, nasty and unsanitary. We visited the location for the first time yesterday and we were shocked.

Could not be more of a disappointment. This overly priced facility has three small and overcrowded pools, toilets that are permanently broken, ancient gym facilities, and doesn't bother to provide lighting for tennis courts. That's the good news. The swimming lessons I spent 3 months trying to book for my child resulted in us being stood up the morning of the lesson multiple weeks in a row with zero apology or recompense from management. You're literally better off taking hundred dollar bills and burning them than wasting your time at this abysmal facility. Anywhere else is better.
