I spent good money today to get vaccines and exams done for my dog in preparation of an international move. I have a snub nosed dog, and there are strict requirements for airline travel.Nearly as soon as the vet left the exam room, I could hear her making snarky comments to her coworkers about our situation, i.e. how we are “special” and laughing about it. The vet must have been confused on how well the exam room door blocks sound, because I was able to hear the conversation and tone quite clearly.Having opinions is fair enough, whatever. To share them while on the clock at work, and within earshot of a patient/paying customer, is just a bad look. Hearing her speak that way also completely ruined my confidence in that vet’s ability to perform her job correctly. If she doesn’t care enough to not be overheard speaking poorly about customers, does she really care enough to do her job properly? What a disappointment.

Dr Bower was fine. Was charged Triple price for meds. Wouldn’t give receipt, manager wouldn’t return calls, very rude front desk people, especially Angelo.

A little pricey but they definitely take care of the pets! Easy to schedule appointments and the staff is good at following up post visits.

They are no longer run by the same staff. They're no longer privately owned/operated. They're a "Thrive Pet Healthcare" partner now run out of Austin, Texas. We used to love this place. They were extremely friendly & thorough. They would always follow up on everything. Now everything seems to cost the same for a much lesser quality of care. It's harder to even schedule an appointment.I'm not telling you not to go here necessarily. I'm just trying to inform people of my family's experiences & that we aren't coming back.

Terrible communication. I tried to take my chocolate lab here to get a dental cleaning and they required her to obtain bloodwork before proceeding with the dental cleaning which I requested at her annual wellness exam. I ordered and paid for the bloodwork and tried to make her dental cleaning appointment, which they refused indicating that they could not make the appointment until the bloodwork results had gotten back (although their advertising emails include materials asking you to book dental cleanings online through their portal) and that they would follow up by email with an estimate and to schedule the dental cleaning. Yet they never sent the scheduling email after the results of the bloodwork came in.I reached out a few months later, well before her next wellness exam, asking to schedule the requested dental appointment and they indicate that they would need me to schedule and pay for an additional vet visit and bloodwork to get the cleaning done costing another thousand dollars. I called in to get assistance, but the Adam at the front desk was unhelpful.Overall, I would go to another vet especially at this price point. One that communicates better and actually follows up when they say they will and informs you of any upcoming deadlines to book appointments you have requested.

Sadly we had to put our elderly cat down as his health deteriorated beyond treatment. We had never used Kensington Vet before but they are close to our house so it made the process easier. Although it was a very difficult experience, the staff and Veterinarian were so empathetic and understanding and truly understood our needs. They explained everything clearly and made sure we had plenty of time to say goodbye properly. Thanks so much.

This is the best vet that I've been to! They were able to see me within a few days, when other vets in the area told me they were booked through May/June. They also didn't require a deposit at the time of making the appointment, like the other vets did. My favorite part, though, as a cat owner, was that they have completely separate entrances and waiting lobbies for dogs and cats! They also have cat-only exam rooms, where a small monitor plays videos of squirrels for your kitty. The service and amenities were fantastic and everything was on time. I was in and out within 30 min for our appointment. Other vets that I have been to have made me wait 30-45 min even after my appointment time. I am so happy I found Kensington after recently moving to the Bay and I plan to stick with them!

Fantastic experience! The team here are all very kind and professional, really nice people. My cat Chirpy was seen today by Dr. Bowyer, she was very knowledgable and helpful and so sweet with my very shy and timid kitty. Dr. Bowyer patiently answered all of my questions in detail and gave me lots of helpful tips to keep my cat in excellent shape.Today was my first visit but I will absolutely be back. Great staff, very nice facility in a great location, and very reasonable rates. Thank you!!

They’re a decent clinic, like most around. Good services. However, be prepared for significant bills that will be presented to you after the services were provided, no forewarning. I had my senior cat in for blood tests and when I came to pick her up, I was presented with a $500 bill, and that was after the previous day I paid them another $150 just to have someone look at her for 10 minutes. $650 for blood work with anesthesia. Listen, I understand vet services are expensive, but 1 - this clinic is excessive in my view and 2- it’s terrible business practice to not give people quotes when the bill is over a couple hundreds. $500 can cripple a family budget, it’s so tone deaf to everything it’s happening with the world these days to just expect us to just drop the money at the register. For that, I will never return.

Dr. Bowyer saw our cat this week for some swelling/sores around his mouth. I asked for her to update his vaccinations while he was in, and she happily obliged. She was kind and gentle with him. No upselling for unnecessary procedures or products. With her prescribed treatment, our cat's mouth is already looking better, and his bad breath has resolved. Thank you, Dr. Bowyer!

the staff here are sorely lacking compassion and the vet delivered in my opinion a low standard of care.grateful I found help I needed when my newly adopted puppy had kennel cough and fleas through an online vet app called FirstVet, and the employees at PetFoodExpress. They were drastically more compassionate toward me and my pet, and much more helpful with practical advice.I am guessing there’s not a coincidence this was the only vet in the area that could get me in within the month. This visit was waste of my $110 as I will be finding a different vet for our in person care.

Dr. Allyson Atwell is a fantastic/knowledgeable veterinarian. We feel very safe putting our fur baby's health in her hands. The support staff are always friendly and helpful. We highly recommend!
