My husband and I had so much fun in this shop! It had unique items that could almost be like a spoof at what you'd expect to see at a country gift shop, like candles that smell of dirt, or burnt rubber; hilarious bumper stickers; retro toys like Koosh balls; even snacks for the fur babies.

Very cool shop with some great items for purchase. A few things caught my eye which I had to have after a few giggles. Approached the counter to purchase, said hello to cashier and if looks could make me a pillar of salt I would be one. The cashier was so upset either
1. I handed her a $20.00 and we broke her bank for change.
2. She didnt want to serve us.
I would go without the latter. Great gift items, wonderful shop, but Darlene isnt' so darlin.

Looks like an old garage, maybe that is what it was in the past, not sure. Today is a giant gift shop with everything you need, from shirts to mugs, from chocolates to jewelry. I did not find any piece of fashion jewelry interesting and it was kind of pricey. I was expecting last week to get the Valentine's decor already and they were still in Christmas mode. Nice petite Xmas trees with cool imitation vintage balls to decorate. Nice to browse.

Wow there's a ton of STUFF in this place! It's really hard to categorize The Old Julian Garage. It has gifts, collectibles, toys, books, classic signs (love the Route 66 one!), t-shirts, etc. etc. etc! I have never been in this shop on past visits to Julian - and I have no idea how a missed one of the largest shops in Julian itself. From what I saw, the items here were of good quality and reasonably priced. I think we can agree that most things in Julian are over-priced, but I didn't find it too bad in the case of the Garage. I did buy some items. I'll admit I received a veteran's discount but still, I thought prices were mostly fair. It is a place worth visiting on any Julian trip, especially if you're looking for unique gifts for someone or yourself. Given that it was very busy in Julian on this day, I will give credit to the store employees at the register. They were very courteous and preformed well under pressure and occasional long lines. I am fascinated by shops like this! Sometimes they are a throwback to my younger days - just helps make me feel right at home - large crowd or little crowd! Shops like this are what makes Julian Julian. Make sure you visit The Old Julian Garage if you visit this town! Recommend: VERY HIGH

Awesome shop! Julian is pretty much touristy things but his place has cool stuff you'd never see anywhere else. Music, motor and hot snack themes I've never seen before.

My wife wanted to purchase this cool vintage motorcycle picture (425) but I said”they wouldn’t even say good morning back to us.” So we left. One star for the cool old building that they are in. We will admire it as we walk by to other businesses.
