Great experience in family ! The creek is very fresh with a lot of shadows even in the heart of summer. Not a lot of gold but it seems the best season is spring after the winter flows.

My boyfriend and I went to this place for his birthday and we had an amazing time! The workers are amazing people and showed us how to pan gold correctly and taught us how to sluice. We thoroughly enjoyed the 3 hours we were there. I would recommend this place to anyone who is interested in gold panning and having fun while doing it!

This place is amazing! My guide was Jared and he taught me so much. I just can't say enough good stuff about him. They were even able to fit me in at the last min. I'm from Texas and just here on business. If I ever come back to CA I will definitely come back here. I will also tell everyone I know that this is the best place to go. Oh and the best part.... I came away from my adventure with gold.

We went March 2024. Our main guide was Andrew. He was knowledgeable and helpful and so much fun to interact with. The guides were all friendly and informative and made sure we were doing okay the whole time.
We did three hours for our family of four and it was perfect. The water was painfully cold at first but we quickly got used to it. We brought dishwashing gloves that worked out very well. There was no problem with hands getting cold. We all had jeans on and rolled them up but next time I'd probably wear shorts and change after. We had running shoes on and changed them after because the water was up to mid calf in spots.
I highly recommend this business for anyone looking for a fun outdoor activity. We are beginners but there were more experienced people there at the same time we were. We paid online before we went and the guides were there waiting when we arrived. Everything was professional and well run and so much fun and we will definitely buy another gold panning adventure from them.

Andrew, Wyatt, Nugget Nick, and Carole were so nice! We dug for two hours, and they were there when we needed them and gave us space to enjoy the experience as a family. It was a gift to our seven year old for his birthday to go panning, and they surprised us at the end with a birthday card and his very own panning kit. What a wonderful surprise!! They were absolutely awesome! We'll be back in the summer with family! Thanks again! Ps... we found gold!

The overall experience was not the best to say the least. I don't feel it's worth the price and the staff was quite rude.

This is by appt only. When we were there, there was also 3 other small groups but each separated. The guide was nice but very scarce, since he was also training a new guy and doing the other 2 groups. We paid for 2 hours and some of that time was waiting for help. We got the smallest sluice box I've ever seen, they had much better ones not being used but we got a small plastic one that I've seen on Amazon as having another attachment to it. I was hoping to learn how to pan for gold, that was my main reason for going. But we got a few minutes at the end for one of us to pan what we had gathered in our sluice box, which unfortunately the new guy actually dropped some of the very bottom of our bucket which of course gold is heavy then other material and would have been at the bottom. I told him to please just bring the bucket over to where we were supposed to pan it and not dump the sluice over the deeper area but he did what he wanted despite me saying several times i didn't think it was a good idea. I can see this being a good place had we had gotten more time with an experienced guide. But we had no time panning for gold and that was the point of the trip. There is no store for souvenirs and the only bathroom is one out house. The people were nice enough but i don't think i will be going back. I will just have to find someone else to teach me how to gold pan.

Nate was super chill, really knowledgeable about how gold is mined, and the history behind it. All around awesome fun time. Don’t be afraid of getting muddy, it’s great.

We were able to get in by calling the day before. Shoveled rocks out of the creek, sluiced, and found gold! We did the 3-hour tour. Nobody else was there until we were getting ready to leave. It was a wonderful family time!

A fantastic experience for the whole family.
We visited the place as a family of 7 (3 generations) we had a completely fantastic day together with a dedicated Guide, a guide who showed and told everything worth knowing about the area, how to read nature in relation to assessing the chance of gold finds and of course the noble art of gold panning.
Our guide was truly dedicated in an immersive way and exceeded all expectations…
5 out of 5 deserved stars for a thoroughly fantastic experience and a super fantastic guide ?????

It was a fun and authentic experience. When putting in some hard work, gold can be found!I would do it again!I would have appreciated a bit more background info about where gold accumulates to pick a digging spot and to know how to dig.

Goud zoeken zoals het hoort; goede uitleg, de benodigde materialen, een lekker schaduwrijk stuk in de rivier en heel veel modder ?. Voor ons gezin een leuke en leerzame ervaring. Goud gevonden! Organisatie heel flexibel. We konden onze aankomsttijd niet precies voorspellen, maar dat was geen probleem. Hebben de 2 uur op de dag zelf geregeld.

Great adventure for the entire family! Simple steps (so kids can follow along) but hard work to find gold. Great outdoor activity for bonding and teamwork. Be prepared to work and get wet in the water. Lots of fun and very exciting to actually strike gold (even though it was a tiny amount). Thanks Jared for being a knowledgeable, friendly, and overall excellent guide!
