This shop is amazing. Perfect for an antique collector, historian buff or the curious. There we some beautiful pieces of furniture, huge collector's items and the owner, Richard was so nice. They even gave my little guy a free Hot Wheel car.

Currently closed. Unknown when it will open again. Previously a very friendly local bar with billiards and great music. Sorry to see this place shut down.

Not sure why people rate this place so high. It's a shithole, not a divebar. If you like to drink at 6am and have bikers f*** with you then it's a great place. If you just want to get a drink, at a normal time, then literally GO ANYWHERE ELSE.

I can't rate this because I was there after hours, although the store and area was set in a beautiful historical site, it was breathtaking, will return! I just wanted to post a pic of the hour to update

Great little dive bar well not so little. Unfortunately heard they were closing down the original spot across from the Jackson hotel. Couple of long-time bartenders are moving on. Not a bad place to go if you need a good bloody Mary. Great jukebox. And you can smoke in the back room.

You could drink at the much shadier Main Event down the street, where the odds of a fight or creepy experience increase exponentially, or you could drink here. I not only prefer the Fargo Club, I'm now officially a fan. After a couple late-night experiences visiting Jackson, it's become the bar to visit if you're looking for fun after 9 pm. It may be as deathly quiet on Jackson's main drag at night, but that all changes when you step into the Fargo. The jukebox is always on, the drinks are stiff and they have a solid pool table in back. Be sure to hit up the old school vending machine in the bathroom for things like pinkie condoms and french ticklers. I don't want to oversell this place. It's still a dive with dive riff raff and dive amenities. But when it comes to actual bars and late-night drinking in tiny Jackson, it is the place to go.

Normally I'm a "craft cocktail" gal who likes to drink at bougie lounges (sorry) but as I get older there is a time and place for a dive bar. In the case of Fargo Club there is no concept of "nightlife" anywhere in Amador County, the nearby hotel/casino is dry save for a lounge that closes 10pm at the latest on weekends and I wasn't driving. When my friends and I arrived at midnight it was the ONLY business open. Like an oasis in the desert, Fargo Club opens until 2AM on weekends. It's also located smack dab along Main Street in Jackson, CA. My observations are that the lady serving us was quite friendly, providing conversation whenever we needed it. There was a pool table in the back and a jukebox in the front. There was popcorn near the jukebox but it was a bit on the salty side. Since my drink of choice would be a bit inappropriate in a dive bar setting I asked for a white Russian. Made for a pretty good nightcap for the next day. Not sure the next time I'll be back here but I recommend this to people who still want to continue the fun once the sun comes down...

Dives are my jam. Like, seriously, give me an unassuming bar with drink specials and a jukebox or pool table over a bougie club any day. If I'm going out, the plan is to be at least a little bit of a degenerate. Might as well have my environment reflect that, right? Fargo Club definitely reflects that attitude. Cash only. $2 cans of PBR. A bathroom with hardwood floor that mysteriously gets softer the closer you get to the urinal (previous plumbing issues?). A jukebox that lets you play hits like Grammy award winning 1999 hit "Smooth" by Carlos Santana ft. Rob Thomas of Matchbox 20 for $1. Popcorn that's been available to the general public since perhaps the dawn of mankind. It may sound like I'm knocking the place, but I've grown to appreciate the allure of a good dive bar. It's a place you go in for a strong pour at a reasonable price. If you're expecting anything else, you don't deserve the deal you're getting. I can't give enough praise to the prices and generosity of the pours. My only complaint is that they closed up pretty early on Thursday, at 11pm. To be fair, Yelp told me they were closing at 10pm and the bartender, who was definitely accommodating, kept the place open until the last of us left around 10:30. She was great and I was thankful for the extended last call. I'm still used to dives staying open until 2, pretty much regardless of day, but there's not much going on in downtown Jackson on a Thursday night. Either way, the early last call didn't deter us and we were back the following evening for another great time. Will I be back? No idea. But I'll remember Fargo Club, should I ever be in the area and in need of a drink and a deal.
