After coming in couple times for One Piece events. The store always upcharges on events compared to any other store. Also the lady in front acts like she doesn't want to be there either.

Totally radical! Or whatever colloquialism you want to use for Awesome! Found what I didn't know I needed. Some stors can do that for their customers. 10/10 will return again!

The game chest is so cool. And way bigger than you'd expect!! There is a whole tabletop gaming area here. All of them staff are super nice and genuine! We go here every time we stop by the spectrum.

Out of the way store, hidden behind other stores. Store cashier looked uninterested in helping or welcoming shoppers. Sadly since we were ignored, we just left. Saw the same thing happen with another family.

Love how the place is clean and brightly lit. Good variety of games. Prices are definitely on the higher side but there is also something nice about being able to browse games in person vs online. Looks like they have space for people to play games there too. People working the store are friendly and polite. Would recommend if you are looking for a game store since most game stores I've been to in the past are usually small and cramped.

Playing games with family, on a busy day!!! While this place tends to move locations within the Irvine Spectrum, it is now located near the CPK location. My family and I decided to spend a nice afternoon playing board games in the back of the store, where they charge $5 an hour to use their tables. The store is well stocked with EVERYTHING games, from the classics to the current board games in all different genres. What a selection. As I checked all the Yelp reviews for The Game Chest, I tend to notice mostly negative reviews that were the majority of their reviews. Everyone has a different experience in the world of Yelp. While I didn't experience a negative impact, the customer service could use some improvement. The store was somewhat clean, and even though we did have an enjoyable experience yesterday afternoon, the customer service team was very informative on when each hour passed. If you are a board game fan, and you want a decent selection to choose from, my suggestion is to check this store out. I give this place a 3.5-4 stars for my overall experience.

Bought some magic cards here, didn't get to take part of their pre-release because they book up. The owner is super nice, she really knows her stuff. The employees are pretty disconnected and some of them are pretty cold to deal with. Other employees are nice. Prices here are higher than what you see at other stores, but sometimes they are competitive.

This place was great, super expansive selections for all ages, but I wanted to specifically call out this lil Squishable I got. Her name is Lily the Dragon Cat and the nice cashier told us she is custom for the store based on the Owners own cat and the store mascot. It is the cutest thing, I'm attaching a picture. All the squishables were cute, but this one is so far and away the cutest one. Her little teeth, I could die ? I just wanted people to see her because she's custom and you have to get her here.

We did The Heist escape room and it was so fun! Our game master was very helpful and gave us clues when she saw us struggling. I will definitely go again.

In 2020, the owner of this facility told me there was a management position available. I had just had to close my business due to Covid and she offered me an interview. Upon showing up for the interview, I was told I couldn't even have an interview unless I had the jab."If you get the jab, we can move forward".I was hard up for money being a single mom. I was coerced to get the jab, despite me stating to the female owner that I was extremely uncomfortable with it as I just had a family member pass away from it. She stated that she didn't care.I needed to feed my kids. I got the jab.I returned for the interview, which then I was told there were little to no hours and a management position turned into an entry level part time position.I've had health problems since. I was extremely healthy before this.I'm seeking legal counsel now.She manipulated people to get the jab by waving jobs in their faces and once they did they were no longer available.I didn't get to exercise "my body my choice".I hope others that you've done this to come forward.You're a snake.
