“I was looking for a particular watch for a while and really wanted to find a local seller instead of purchasing online from an unknown seller. During my search I found Newport Watch Club and they had the watch I wanted. I called them to setup an appointment to take a look at the watch. When I arrived I was greeted by AJ who was very hospitable and welcoming. Met with Dara to go over the watch I was interested in purchasing. We got along immediately. He was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable on watches we discussed. Took a look at a few other watches, had a great overall experience meeting them and with the entire purchasing process. I have small collection of watches but learned early on when it comes to luxury watches the most important part is to find a seller you can trust and feel comfortable with before making the purchase. The transaction was seemless and I felt they went above and beyond to make sure I was completely satisfied. I am more than happy with my new watch. Next time I'm looking to buy another watch I'll definitely be reaching out to them. Thanks again!”

“Great, honest guys! I'm liquidating inventory acquired whilst in the biz decades ago. They're fair, unlike a dealer I spent a small fortune with during better times. I wish I'd come here first, as I figure my total loss to be at least a grand based on an identical gold wt. watch my 'friend' paid $200 less for! 'Friend' wouldn't show me the scale, on a prior larger transaction including a new chain he claimed to scrap, I later saw in his case! I informed him of this 'oversight', so he agreed to another $100, when $200 just on the watch. In this biz, integrity is paramount and I'll be retuning to John! Hopefully, to buy!”

“I've had no issues at all at this location. I've only dealt with the two main employees the woman and the man that I believe are married in their early 50's. They always have been nice to me, are FULLY versed in gun-laws (I saw a review on here that makes no sense based off my experience), and are pretty fair on prices. They don't bend much on the prices, like most pawn shops, but they aren't super outgoing friendly like some people may like, however they're nice enough and are serious as they should be. They remind me of people from the mid-west, people from California are d-bags and they aren't ones to talk about people being friendly or nice. But yeah, ignore the negative reviews, just because they're not trying to go over the moon with customer service doesn't mean they deserve a bad review.”

When times got tough growing up I lost the passion for music because I could not afford a new guitar and being stuck in school from morning till night I had no time . For a long time I would drive down 19th and see all those guitars in the window and I said to myself I'm going to save up some money and buy an electric guitar , And the time finally came , I walked in and told them what kind of guitar I was looking for . They let me try them out and I even bought an Amp . I still have my guitar today , I reccomend Rio's to everyone looking to get back into music .”
“Our mother passed away earlier this year, and so my sister and I have the unfortunate job of disposing of her possessions, which included some expensive jewelry, sterling silver utensils and serving ware, some old coins, etc. None of us wanted most of these things and so we spoke with jewelry stores, estate sale people, etc. to get estimates of value and what the items could sell for. The folks at The Gold Mine were not even comparable to anyone else we talked to. They are extremely knowledgeable and have experts on staff in things like coins, currency and gems. They were all kind, professional and best of all, the prices they paid blew everyone else away. I feel that they were the only place which made us a fair offer for our mom's valuables. (Other places clearly had far less knowledge and experience.) I came away with 5e belief that these folks are honest and fair. Of course, if you have the time to try to find individual buyers for your items, you might get a little more money - when buying things, they have to be able to make a profit when they resell them - but the folks at The Gold Mine made it so easy. I would absolutely do business with them again. And if you're buying, they have a great selection of valuable collectibles, including jewelry, rare coins and notes, etc. They are generous with their time and knowledge and there was absolutely no pressure, unlike several other stores we visited. There is a reason these folks have been in business for nearly 50 years.”
