Our doggie had surgery three years ago and recovered at Pacific Care Pet Emergency. They took such wonderful care of him and he made a full recovery. After two years he developed diabetes and pancreatitis and Pacific Care took great care of him and helped us manage his diabetes. We had to let him go recently but know that Pacific Care was the reason we had him for another 3 years and we are thankful for that. The staff is excellent and very caring and compassionate. I cannot more highly recommend them for anyone with a sick pet.

All of the staff is professional and timely in urgent care. They put your pet first and explain exactly why xyz is the best treatment plan, what they plan to do and update you as soon as they're finished on how your pets doing. Also they're incredibly helpful afterwards on the phone if you have more questions/concerns about your pet. Someone was nice enough to text me pictures of our cat to say hi when he had to stay a few nights just so we knew he was okay.

They quoted a price $300 to cremate a dog. I told them the dogs aprox weight is 55lb and they quoted me $300 for ashes in a Ceder engraved box. When we drove the dog there today they raised the price and said it would cost $461. I told them they quoted $300 over the phone and had I known they would change the price, I would have taken the dog to another vet that is cheaper. They are dishonest and greedy! Don't use this vet

We were referred here for specialty care when my 15-year old pup started having liver and heart problems. It's always tough watching a pet age but we knew she was in good hands. The doctors here always took the time to explain results and discuss treatment options. She is no longer with us, but we had to bring our new puppy here late one night a few weeks ago. We haven't had a puppy in a LONG time and this was our first emergency visit with the new dog. We panicked and brought her in prematurely (Google and Internet doctors can make things sound scary) because she ended up being completely fine. However, the doctor and vet tech/assistant on duty took us seriously and took the time to check our dog's vitals and make sure she was fine before sending us home. They were very patient and kind as they explained the treatment options. I appreciate that they listened and were not immediately dismissive. Even though nothing ended up being wrong, they wanted to make sure we felt heard and offered to do more testing and keep an eye on her if we were still worried. Of course, no one wants to go to the energy vet. Our dogs are our babies and we want to know they are in good hands in these emergency situations. I appreciate the staff so much for always being so thoughtful, patient and kind.

When it comes to my furbabies, it is nothing but the best. We visited Pacific Care again in May 2024 and the service and treatment is still amazing. The front desk staff are welcoming and reassuring and when I arrived, Elsie was waiting for us with a warm smile. The vet tech Erin was kind and loving with our dog. The main reason we drive so far is Dr. Tricia Nguyen, she goes above and beyond to care for my pets and explain every step to us. She took the time to answer questions and provided us with a recommendation to an oncologist to continue the diagnosis and treatment options. I also appreciate their transparency when discussing care options and pricing. I have been to other clinics where I felt like I was buying a used car. They pressured me to the point that I felt my pet would die if I did not go with the most expensive treatment plan. This is not the case at Pacific Care. My furbabies cannot talk so important to work with vets and a clinic I can trust!

Just got out of this place and it was useless huge waste of time! My dog is lethargic and his stomach is distended and hard he was shaking. Took him here and they wanted $1,000 deposit which I refused then the doctor talked to me said he has a back issue which is not the case ! It's his stomach as when I touch his stomach he whimpers. I asked her what she thought it could be she had no answers!! It was absolutely a waste of time and money!! My dog is still in pain panting and stomach is the same. This place is a total joke and all about money they don't care about your pet. Do not go here you will be wasting your money and leave without answers or treatment UNlESS you pay $1 k deposit! Pretty sad and pathetic!

having a 2 month old puppy is a blessing.. my puppy was experiencing abnormal behavior. Staffing was wonderful and so caring for my little pup. They went above and beyond to even kill a spider off my window in the middle of me handing her over. Also wanted to add they answered all my questions when it came to pet insurance. Took me right in w/o an appointment..I feel comfortable coming back for anything. Office is well kept and clean and welcoming. Thank you!!!

I am satisfied with the service and treatment my cat & I received here. It was expensive, but that is expected with emergency veterinary services. Ashley, the vet tech, was very kind and worked with us to find a solution for my cat. Would recommend for other emergencies if primary care is not available.

From the front desk staff to the amazing Dr. Lessard and her assistant Brittany, I cannot give enough stars. My 14. y.o. Yorkie Kai (aka fur son) was very ill for many days with vomiting and trembling. Also excessive thirst and urination. After many vet visits a friend recommended Pacific Care. I was very impressed with the effusive communication from Dr. Lessard, via email/text from her assistant and in person in depth explanation and exploration of treatments. She listened intently and admitted that she thought about my boy while she was out of work trying to figure out what was wrong. She diagnosed him with Acute, Chronic Pancreatitis but there was something more going on with the kidneys. Thanks to Dr. Lassard trusting her gut and going the extra mile to do research and investigate further, we found out he has a rare, serious, yet treatable condition called Fanconi. Due to supplements and her excellent care, my fur baby is alive today and getting better. How do you thank someone for saving your baby's life? I have never ever experienced a Dr. with such care and concern and taking the time to listen and explain. She is truly remarkable at what she does and really cares about her patients and their families.

Worse than used care salesmen. I called to ask about the pricing for pet hospitalization, their response was that no pricing is available, they insist on me writing them a plain check and them writing the price at the end. No straight answers, all they do is try to squeeze as much money as possible from you. Avoid this place like a plague.

Just like everyone else says, they are absolutely only focused on the money. Their first questions aren't even about your pets health or what the emergency is, but rather if you can sign payment-guarantee forms. Sure, liability or whatever, but for gods sake have some compassion. That aside, their general demeanor is entirely focused on charging more

DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE!!! My dog threw up a lot of blood & had a seizure so naturally we panicked & went to the closest emergency room. Wish I had researched it first. This place only cares about money & will do everything they can to take as much money as possible. My visit left me dissatisfied & concerned about the level of care provided to my beloved pet, Sarge. From the moment I arrived, it was evident that communication & professionalism were lacking. I was told it was $175 Emergency exam fee & required a $1000 deposit was in case they needed to do any lifesaving/ emergency services. They were more interested in securing this deposit than asking what was wrong with Sarge. After paying the deposit I was told to wait alone in an exam room. When the assistant came into the exam room she asked questions about the visit. I tried to show her a picture of the blood he threw up since it a was a lot. She barely glanced at the photo & failed to provide any clarity on the procedures or treatments being administered. She said the Dr would be right in. 20 mins later Dr Valerie Lew came in. She didn't give her name or introduce herself. She didn't provide an update on what they were doing with Sarge. She said he was anemic but didn't know why. She recommended an ultrasound & said the assistant will explain the treatment plan. She didn't spend much time with us & didn't fully explain what was going on. The assistant returned to the exam room with the "treatment plan." The so-called "treatment plan" presented felt more like a transactional estimate of costs rather than a complete care plan tailored to Sarge's needs. The lack of transparency continued as I attempted to understand the recommended ultrasound treatment plan. When I had questions the assistant was unable to answer them. The inability to answer my questions accurately only added to my confusion so l asked to speak with the Dr again. The assistant told us the Dr was on a phone call. The assistant made us feel incompetent by saying, "The Dr already went over this with you." I said we would wait until the Dr was available to make sure l had all of the information to make the best decision. The Dr came back in. The Dr delivered information in overly technical terms, requiring repeated requests for layman's terms. The diagnosis of a potential liver issue was delivered without clarity on the problem or potential outcomes, leaving us feeling helpless. We elected not to do the ultrasound & asked for a new treatment plan. The assistant returned with the new plan. This plan had a $107 charge for Ultrasound FAST Scan that was not included on the first plan. When going over all of the charges I asked what treatment had already been given & she said, "There's been no treatment." All of these charges totaling $1,130 were just for diagnostic test which they still couldn't tell us what was wrong except to offer another $1600 worth of tests. The assistant said even with the $1,600 ultrasound they still might not know what the issue was or if they found an issue it would be thousands of dollars for surgery & hospital stay. What I was presented was not a treatment plan. It was an estimate of cost. It felt very transactional. Neither the assistant nor the Dr could provide us with what was best for Sarge. What his actual treatment might look like. What his recovery would be. I elected to bring him home. They said they would bring sarge out on a gurney. We waited outside for 10 mins. They came walking out with a towel under his back legs forcing him to walk. He was not doing well & shouldn't have been forced to walk out to the car. The disregard for Sarge's comfort & dignity was appalling. The decision to force him to walk despite his obvious distress only added to our distress & confirmed our worst fears about the quality of care provided. In the end, our decision to bring Sarge home was made out of desperation. Tragically, Sarge'

Over the weekend we brought our 4 month old Corgi to Pacific CARE and discovered she had Parvo. (Whaaat?!) I would not wish this diagnosis on any dog owner. We had no idea how very serious and potentially fatal it is. From our first call to the facility, the night staff at PC were SO understanding and made it easy to follow their explanations - especially in our concerned state. The Dr. carefully explained our dog's condition and treatment options. EVERYONE there was so supportive and we felt cared for, and that has continued a couple of days later. We have been so grateful to find PC, especially in this difficult time. Definitely they are "go to" and we confidently recommend. Thank you Pacific CARE staff.

This review is for Dr. Jennifer Hauss and her amazing staff. Our dog was diagnosed with lymphoma in January of this year and Dr. Hauss and her staff have been nothing short of amazing. She explains everything very throughly, while showing an immense amount of care and empathy. This journey has been challenging with many ups and downs, but we are beyond grateful for the care that they provide here. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is in search of next level care for their pet child who's in need of a great vet oncologist.
