My experience with this LA fitness center was a disaster. The salemen in this fitness try to sell their memebership crazily and give out a lot of promises. Believe me, they just want to get your money and never want to fullfill their promises.
In the beginning, the sale associate ask me to buy their membership. I said I just visit Irvine for one month but will come back in 6 months. The saleman promised me that they will freeze my account during my leave. He also gave me some benefit, e.g, I c an birng one of my family member every time I visit. Once I signed the contract and paid the membership fee and bring my son with me next week, they decline his entrance by saying the sales guy has left the company right that week and they cannot honor the promise. What a coincidence!
More seriously, several month later, I found my credit card was billed automatically billed for many months since I left. They didn't freeze my account at all as they promised me in the first time. When I come back again in Irvine and asked them for my money back, they refuse returning my fee by saying that there is no record showing account freezing.
Basically, they take every means to escape from their responsibility. I'm sick of the dishonesty, greediess and cheating of the personel of this fitness center and will never come back.
Meanwhile, I read from the online reviews and find that many people have such experiences for this fitness center. Don't trust this LA fitness center on culver and baranca, Irvine, and they just want to cheat on you and get the money from you without service.

BEWARE - Personal Training Department ( Managament only ;Kyle, Christian, Itza -Crossroad Barranca Pkwy ) - Totally unreliable, misguiding and unaccountable. Please be aware , if you have any health condition or surgery, LA FITNESS Personal training management make no exception of freezing or cancelling the monthly payment in spite of submitting medical records and confirmation by them. The management personals are unaccountable for any correspondences, confirmations they make with you whatsoever and take no ownership and have a one sided contract which has no clause incase of any unforeseen situations like surgery or post-op medical intervention. I have had a bad experience of being convinced into their personal training program making it sound flexible and working around my medical condition but in actual was fleeced by the management by misguiding and not taking ownership for what they committed to their client.

Hire someone who knows how to to do their job.
Educate your sales associates, so your loyal customers don't waist their precious time.
Already dealing with enough uneducated people in this world, don't need to meet more somewhere where I thought the sales should be first;)

Got ringworm infection on my neck and my dermatologist told me it’s most likely from the gym. It was the month I started working out at this location.

Management doesn’t care about you! I went there last week. Their Zumba instructor, Maky, used a very loud music, microphone and she was literally screaming in the mic. We asked her to lower the volume and she just smiled and said ok. But the next song was still very loud and she screamed even more. We didn’t want to go deaf for a 1 hr class so 5-6 of us left the class after only 2 songs. I went to the manager and told her the story but she didn’t do anything…she could have gone to her class and could ask her to lower volume but none of them did anything. I will never go back to this place. There are other places and better instructors and services. Zumba is to have fun…not going deaf! Someone should tell the instructor Maky about this m.

The gym is not very clean and the machines are super old. The treadmills and ellipticals have iPod plugins. That shows you how old they are. The elliptical with the hand rails that move need to be replaced. They don’t move right and a lot of the pedals seem broken. The air vents have black stuff all around the sides. Doesn’t look like they change air filters. The yoga mats in the workout class room are all broken. The membership people that hang out at the front are creepy looking.
The people that check you in are super friendly.
I used to go to planet fitness and all the equipment was new and the staff cleaned all the time and made people wipe the machines down each time. At 24 no one wipes the machines down and I’ve never seen any staff clean anything.
Wish they had kids club on Sundays.

I was forced to buy personal training for 6 months and paid in full. I was promised 12 sessions in a month but was given only 9 per month. 18 sessions are still due . When asked about the due sessions the current Manager Jared denied saying that the Fitness coach Chris who signed me up is not working there anymore so the due sessions cannot be given. It's really a SCAM and please do not buy any personal training. Be cautious and don't waste your money and don't fall for any fake offers!

My daughter came with me when a family tour day. The guy David who helped me for a sign in , he did took a photo of my daughter, and told me it’s free for that time and no registration after the tour I decided. But a black young lady who is a coach at yoga class, she was so rude to my daughter that day. We left her class so soon, and we head back to David to say we won’t register for her. He told me over there will no registration. But they kept over charged me for half year until bank alarm me. Because it is a double charged fee for me. So I came to front desk and asked. Then they said I registered for my daughter , and that is why they changed me. I requested fully amount refund. They told me only can do 2 months refund. And they asked proof to show I cancelled it. Otherwise they wouldn’t refund fully.So ridiculous. I told them David didn’t do that for me, and that day I didn’t request registration. He even didn’t say anything about registration. It’s just like a trap. Neighbors and friends , keep eye on your account, if they did that to everyone, how much money they can get from everyone. I know they had a family free day before. Careful to see if they charged you double or triple. It’s a shame. They are robbing from their customers.At the end, I cancelled all my membership to avoid to be robbed. What a funny experience. Be careful neighbors.we may can just walk at Irvine parks or let civic set up more free equipments for every one for free in public. No needs an indoor gym at all.

I've been coming here for 3 months now, they are professional trainers who give workouts based on your unique needs. You can exercise without personal trainers, some of them will still give you advice. Love the vibe.
