I picked up a used bike from a private seller. Jax was super helpful with all of the learnings that the bike had to offer, with all of its fancy whistles and bells. They took time to explain everything and answered all my silly questions. They understood that I was having a learning curve moment and was fully supportive of the journey. Super friendly and what a great experience. Thank you

Fantastic bike shop. Bike specialists are incredibly knowledgeable and transparent about services. I left with a better knowledge of the issue my bike was having, how to care for my bike in the future and what to expect from my particular model. Very friendly, good people. I came for a bike tune up and David helped me fix up everything and even assisted me in putting it in my car since I was having trouble lifting it. Such a great shop with amazing customer service, I highly recommend it:)

JAX OFF's!!! Went in to drop my bike off for a tune up there was only 1 other customer in the entire shop. A guy with white hair glasses in his 50's. is on the phone explaining what the difference between a minor and a major tune up. Call end I'm standing right there at the service desk in front of him, all I want to do is drop of my bike for a tune up, he turns around and walks away without saying a word. Meantime service manager is going on and on carrying on like a waiter at a fine restaurant talking about wine. After 10 minutes of this I ask the Kid wearing a stocking cap at the front desk is there a procedure to dropping your bike off for a tune up he says no they'll be with you shorty. Mind you only 1 other customer in the store 3 employees. I wait another 15 minutes check out the whole shop twice. Meantime the white haired guy with glasses is going back & forth between the shop to the front desk and the kid with the cap it straightening things on the shelves so I finally walked out. These guys are like Laurel & Hardy. After what I witnessed I wouldn't let them work on my bike under any circumstance.

JAX used to have a great reputation in the local cycling community. Over the past 10-15 years we've joined their group rides when they had them and had our road bikes serviced there. However, the shop no longer has the same feel these days. I still love the older Dave from the back but terrible experiences with the younger Dave (white male who identifies as the store manager) have sent us to Rock N Road. I thought my experiences were isolated and never botherd leaving any reviews until I heard similar feedback from others from my ride group.

Really nice selection of high end bikes and plenty of entry level bikes that are top quality. These guys have been around for a long time and they have several locations in So Cal, so they'll be there to repair your bicycle sand fix any flats. The sales people are very knowledgeable if not a bit too pushy on up selling.

In response to the feedback:1- The original item was not marked as a final sale on your floor2- We were not notified at purchase that the item was a final sale at any time3- We did not receive an invoice until AFTER purchase which was emailed to us4- Your final sale policy was not listed at check out5- We were told we only could swap another bike and not receive a refund even though we were in the 7 day return window- that is California lawWhat is listed throughout your store is Jax’s 30 day guarantee.This is what caused our frustration with the customer service.Thank you for responding however; we would like to provide more information as you have in your response.

I took an electric bike in that needs repair after an accident. I am neither a past customer, nor did I purchase the bike there, and it's not a brand that they carry. Nonetheless the staff recognized the bike was in bad shape, and were kind and attentive (performed a careful inspection and written report) and refused to charge for the free inspection. And all on Black Friday, they easily could have said come back or they don't carry that brand, or they didn't sell the bike so they couldn't do an inspection. I recommend based on my experience and will think of them for my next bike after this.

Great customer service, The staff are very professional, welcoming, and knowledgeable. We were taken care of very quickly, and we are very happy with the service we received. Overall we had a great experience. Thank you!
