I had total knee replacement surgery at the Hoag Hospital in Irvine about 10 days ago by Dr. Jay Patel and his team at the Orthopedic Institute. I received excellent care at every step of the way from the valet who let us in at 5 am to the assistant who wheeled me to my car upon discharge. My doctor and all the nurses I encountered were professional, kind, anticipated my needs, and responded to them even before I voiced them. Total strangers whose single mission seems to be "dedicated to total patient care and comfort." I highly recommend them! My sincere thanks to all of them!

Dr. Nassif did a hip revision surgery on my mother last month, and I was absolutely floored by the quality of care provided by the staff of HOI. Everyone was so thorough, compassionate, and timely that I wish it were the standard everywhere. The charge nurses, nurses, assistants, laboratory techs, EVS, radiology, absolutely everyone was an amazing addition to my mother's care. The case manager worked diligently as well to arrange skilled nursing care, and the communication from them was spot on. Dr. Nassif and his team did an amazing job before, during and after surgery and I will be recommending him and HOI to everyone that needs surgery.

My daily active lifestyle interrupted by a fall injuring my back, surgery was necessary, Hoag Hospital is the only place to be a patient, the Hoag Medical staff from check in thru surgery
is the best, my surgeon Dr. Rowshan is very blessed, no other will do.

Nobody wants to go through surgery if it can be avoided. But with progressive degenerative joint disease and inability to return to an active lifestyle I went to the best place that would not only give me the best care but the best doctor. I've had three back surgeries at this Hospital Hoag in irvine. To me it's the best hospital in the world the staff the nurses everybody is great if you need any type of medical orthopedic services go to this Hospital. The day nurse Neil on top of his game. Had my first ever surgery in my 70 years on being on this earth at Hoag Orthopedic Institute. Dr. Scudday and his team were absolutely awesome. From the check-in to the wheeling to my car after the knee surgery, every team member was awesome, professional, and caring. I’d recommend Dr. Scudday and his team, as well as Hoag, to all my friends and family. The surgery went great, the recovery was much easier than expected.

I have seen a lot of doctors and 6 back operation before going to Hoag. There is no comparison Hoag is number one. There care that you receive before during and after is phenomenal. I am so glad I went to Hoag Orthopedic Institute (HOI) for a second opinion on my hip pain. My step-dad referred me to Dr. Steven Barnett - he and his staff have been so professional and helpful during the whole process before and after my hip replacement surgery. HOI sent daily emails (GetWell Loop) to ensure I was on track with all my appointments and provided helpful reading material about pre-op, surgery, and post-op. Any questions I had before surgery and afterwards were answered immediately. The day of surgery went smoothly and I just had my last day of home PT - I am on the road to recovery. I highly recommend Dr. Steven Barnett.

Dr Barnett and team are so good at what they do. I had full hip replacement after 4 years of pain. Five weeks after surgery I was hitting golfballs! The entire staff is friendly, professional and truly care about your personal journey.

Although I am on the younger side of having a hip replacement, I do believe how I’m feeling 4 weeks out has a lot to do with the incredible team at Hoag Orthopedic Institute. Dr. Gorab is a superstar and his entire office has been 5 star plus in terms of my care and responsiveness. I highly recommend Dr. Gorab and his entire team!

Absolute phenomenal surgical and nursing team. Between my wife and I we have had 5 surgical procedures, and all have gone well. Can't say enough about Dr Gorab and Susie. Ever heard of a nurse (Susie) working with a surgeon for 23 years. Great office very efficient but friendly at the same time. Never had to wait long for appointments and their staff was very good at returning phone calls. Their five-star rating is well deserved.

My recent lumbar surgery was the third overnight experience I have had with the Hoag Orthopedic Hospital. While all have been good, the most recent one was best. Since all of the patients and staff are dealing with orthopedic issues, I found them to be incredibly knowledgeable and efficient.
The most sympathetic and caring crew was the all male night group led by head nurse "Jim". Also, Cesar was particularly patient with my seemingly endless needs.
All of the staff and particularly the Patient Navigators were very helpful.
