Once in a while, I'd travel round trip one hour total to Heartland for vegetarian / plant base ingredients. It happened today, Anna is demonstrating how to make summer treat 愛玉from seed packet sold in the store. What so magical was the delicious dish I put together after returning to home, using the healthy, nutritious supplies I got from Heartland this afternoon. So happy about my visit today.

My mom used to go to their old spot in Santa Ana a bit since it wasn't too far from her home. I was actually picking up from the Korean restaurant in the same plaza when I noticed Heartland here, so I had to scope it out. Nice little Taiwanese market that is mainly if not all Vegetarian or Vegan friendly, as many Buddhist practicing Taiwanese are vegetarian. They have some produce, snacks, condiments and a refrigerated section with goods. I had to shock and bust out some Taiwanese and the cute Taiwanese lady was surprised to hear me speak it, as not as many people of my generation often speak it such as her kids. Told I didn't mind spending the money since I don't have the luxury of visiting Taiwan at the moment with the required quarantine time so this will be compensation of them bringing a bit of Taiwan to the OC.

Been going here since 2015 and I feel very lucky there is a place like this in my area. It's a Taiwanese small marketplace to buy food but everything is also vegetarian and mostly everything is free of garlic and onion. Even though there are plenty of Vegan options I still hope in the future heartlands will someday be fully vegan. They do have a very small section that has some Buddhist supplies like candle offerings and incense and book covers so nice that they do that although the incense are not very high grade they are at least chemical free or most of them are. Namo Amituofo!

Great selections of vegetarian and organic snacks, food, vegetables, and etc. Service is great and staff are very helpful. If you like Asian/ Taiwanese style vegetarian, this is the hidden gem!!

As a native Taiwanese, I love this little healthy vegetarian version of a Taiwanese corner market. It's small, but well stocked with lots of stuff that aren't sold in chain supermarkets. They also have fresh produce and great frozen section with hard to find vegetarian gems. I think my only complaint would be prices are not low, but the thing is, you get what you pay for.

It was my first visit to your Grocery shop and I was very satisfied with the service that you provided. The staff and the managers were all very responsive in all aspects of their work. I will definitely shop in this place again and again! I'll probably try the snack place inside next time. Highly recommended to everyone!

Great little store for organic and vegetarian grocery and herbs. The prices for some items may be higher than those in Whole Foods Market but it is understandable due to its size. There are many products here that are hard to find elsewhere, like organic astragalus.The employees here are super nice. There was one time they were closing early and they left the product I was buying to a nearby store so that I can pick it up and pay cash.
