We are very happy with our kitchen and master bath remodel with Guilin Cabinets. Starting with Denis at the design phase and working with Andrew and Billy during the project, they were very responsive and answered all of our questions - and we had many!What really stood out was how they managed the subcontractors. Keeping a project on track, especially one as complex as a kitchen and master bath remodel, is no small feat. Yet, they handled it efficiently, ensuring that every phase of the project aligned with the agreed timeline.It's common knowledge that in big remodel projects, things don't always go as planned. Look, things always come up and need to be fixed in the process. But, what you want is a company that is proactive in addressing them and Guilin was wonderful in doing this. Whenever a challenge arose (there were only a few small ones), they immediately acted to get things corrected. Even today, a month after project was completed, Guilin has been great about solving small issues - sometimes you don't find them until you start using the new space every day.We love the new kitchen and bath and the cabinets are top quality. We're already setting plans to have them remodel our upstairs bathroom.

We had a wonderful experience with Guilin Cabinets. We shopped around at four different companies and when we saw the quality of the product, we decided on Guilin Cabinets. Completely worth the cost, great value for the high-quality product and service.Jack, our salesman was so helpful and explained everything thoroughly. Our project manager Andrew kept the project on time, and always stay in touch with us. This was important as you always have questions as the process goes along. Great communication.We love our new kitchen and it looks beautiful. Each member of the team, from the demolition guys, the dry wall team, the installer, the electrical guys, the plumbing guy, the tile installers, and the finish team were top notch.We would highly recommend this company. The quality of the cabinets is outstanding. We can't believe how smooth the process was and couldn't be happier. So glad we chose this company. Guilin built and installed beautiful kitchen cabinets for us. The result is excellent. The process was smooth and clear. If mishaps occurred, they were promptly corrected. The communication between me, the customer, and the team of 4 people working on the project was carried out via a group text created early on. The cabinets were ready on the date promised. Guilin stored the cabinets for us until we were ready to install. The installation by James was amazingly precise and meticulous. Andrew did incredible work coordinating the installation of the cabinet handles by phone and text in my absence. Everyone else, Jack, Christine and others, were a pleasure to work with.

I can’t say enough good things about Guilin Cabinets. They were the first to respond to my kitchen remodel request. Jack came on time and spent a lot of time listening and measuring to ensure the estimate was on mark. Believe it not, my project started earlier than the initial projected time and finished early as well. My project manager was Andrew and he made sure everything was done correctly and ALWAYS responded to my texts right away. I also appreciated the group texts with all people involved with my kitchen update. It wasn't hard to pick Guilin Cabinets from our choices of contractors when it came to remodeling our two bathrooms. The people who we worked with were honest, always on time, and professional. Throughout the entire process, they maintained good communication. The workers were very professional as well and the work was top notch. I have tried to be patient, but today was the last straw I have let things go through all the mistakes, lies, no shows, no responses, and poor quality work (pretty much daily throughout the project). But the most important thing I wanted to protect our family was to put up plastic to keep the dust contained. With no warning, and 2 weeks past the promised completion date, they are doing demo (of poorly installed tile) and dust is going everywhere. They absolutely don't give a s#$t. Also, they try to sell themselves as premium, but hire the cheapest people they can find. Will the work ever get done??

Well, I've been thinking for months about whether I should review this company or not. They worked on my small kitchen and 2 little bathrooms for close to 5 months. It was a struggle and exhausting pain in the a** every single step of the way... Oh, and before I continue, you should note that this company goes by more than one name. When I was looking for bids to renovate my kitchen & 2 small bathrooms, one of the other companies I called was something like Lake Forest Remodeling - surprise! They returned my call saying it was Guilin Cabinets.Now, I should also mention that Guilin Cabinets told me they were a cabinet company who also did remodels, however, one of my many "favorite" moments was when one of the cabinet faces Installed was damaged... I told the installer it was unacceptable and had to be replaced. He told me because they were made in China, it might be months to get it replaced(!!!). God, just remembering all the b******* with this company is stressing me out.Let's start at near the beginning. I chose Guilin because their annoying sales person, Jack, made a point of telling me they don't, "nickel and dime" their customers. Wow. That echoed in my head for 5 MONTHS because all their project manager "Billy" did was nickel and dime me from the get-go. It was ridiculous. I wish I'd listened to my gut Instinct and gone with someone else. Truly, they finished over a month ago, and I'm reminded daily what a s*** job they did. I remember when the guy Installing the kitchen cabinets told me how "today was his first day and he was stressed because these cabinets weren't anything like the ones at his last job." Wait. What?!? My house was his job audition??? I still have all the many many many photos I sent to Billy showing him how f**ked up my place looked. Everything was un-centered, not working, measured wrong... not to mention how many extra and Incorrect pieces were delivered.I was expected to be my own project manager as half the guys who showed up were asking ME what to do. God, it was a nightmare.I was told I could only choose ONE grout color for the kitchen and bathroom - but to this day every time I look at the kitchen which was SUPPOSED to be "Rolling Fog" gray - i realize the tile guys just used white, which is way too bright. They had messed up one of the bathrooms, so when they did the kitchen, I asked them to fix the bathroom since it was the same color - well, you could see they DIDN'T use the same color since the upstairs bathroom floor goes from Rolling Fog to blinding white. And don't get me started on their tile guys. Their main tile guy kept trying to talk me OUT of what I wanted because it was more work for him.I seriously can't believe how horrible this company was to work with.Every single day since they finished and left, I kept thinking, if I could share any words of wisdom to people who might be looking to hire these guys, the words would be, RUN, DON'T WALK AS FAR AND FAST IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION AS POSSIBLE.If Guilin tries to dent this, I will start adding a ton of photos showing what a disaster they are.

We are super happy with how our remodel turned out. What started as a small kitchen remodel ended up being a full demo with walls coming down and the transformation is perfect for us. Guilin ended up handling our entire project which included a new kitchen, bar, floors, 2 bathrooms and new doors throughout our home. Christine designed the space beautifully and the rest of the team executed the vision. Couldn't be happier with the finished product. Obviously with any large project there are hiccups along the way but the Guilin team was patient through every step. Thank you to everyone for your part in making our dream home!
