My husband and I stayed unexpectdly at the Sonesta Irvine Spectrum location for many months. We experienced several new staff and everyday business. Our experience was excellent. The Manager is extremely professional, respectful and does the best she can to help every guest. The rooms are clean, the property is in a perfect location - near hospitals and serene walking paths and the team is absolutely amazing! Brenda and Karen, Ester, Allen, Andrea, Edwin were the best. We truly appreciated our stay and will definitely visit when we are back in California.Rooms: Clean, comfortable and quiet.Nearby activities: There is a fabulous walking path behind the property extending for miles.Safety: Extremely safe!!!!Walkability: Depending on where you going. Access is about 10-15 mins. away.

The hallways smelt like death and the entire hotel was outdated circa 1990. I'd never wish upon my worst enemy they stay here. I was alone and barely made it 1night because I didn't want to sleepONLY Pick this hotel if you don't mind furniture someone absolutely passed away in and was put on the side of the road for Free, enjoy hallways that are hot/humid due to no air-conditioning/ventilation and florescent lighting with broken flashing bulbs just like in a horror movie.Zero stars . Front desk guy was cool despite my tantrum of the condition of the place.Safety: Not safeFood & drinks: I wish

Bathtub was clogged, they couldn't get it fixed and didn't have another room to switch us to. Offered only $10 backBathtub ended up filling with water the next morning and began flooding right before we left - only then did they send someone to take care of it

I wasn’t a fan of this hotel. The rooms are very loud as it’s close to the freeway and airport so a lot of noise but also convenient. if I had to choose, I would choose a quiet hotel over the location. The hotel was just pretty plain nothing special.

It was a pleasant stay quiet clean only thing is I asked for a suite that matched what I order online but when I got there they gave me something else and the say they have free breakfast but all it is is oatmeal and free coffee everything else they charging for an arm and a leg

Great services and incredible C/P hotel choice in Irvine! Also in reasonable price and good location.I lost one blouse during my stay, after I informed the hotel then both Karla and Divina were trying to check internally and give me the update continuously.They found it and help me reserve it. I never suppose that it can be found even with so good services but they made it.I do appreciated for that and highly recommend this hotel.Thank you.

Such a pleasant stay here and the room was perfect size, the only complaint I have is the dust flying around the room maybe from the AC unit? I don’t know but that’s not a big deal for me I would recommend to friends and

Booked here for 2 weeks and had to leave after 3 nights. I noticed on the second night that my dogs started itching non stop and then I saw a couple fleas on the bed and a flea jump on my leg. I went to the font office and told them I was leaving and they said I had to stay another night due to cancellation policy. So I did and they didn't care about the room. Had to give my dogs to flea baths to stop the issue and wash everything I own. Living Nightmare

Convenient location near hospitals. One level and reasonably priced, workout room, free coffee bar, snacks for purchase. Free parking.Rooms comfortable, with kitchenette, and recliner. Late checkout available.

A shoddy, old hotel right by the hospital. The front desk was unfriendly in our interactions and not helpful when answering questions. Seemed like he didn't want to be there, just like I didn't after stepping into my room for the first time.

This "hotel" (motel) is located right by Hoag Hospital. In fact, as we were following the navigation system to find the place, we thought we were turning into the hospital parking area.The entrance is small and does not have an automatic sliding door. The layout of the lobby is not of good design. The place feels cramped and musty. As soon as we entered the room, we could tell someone had smoked in the room. The room has a small kitchenette - two electric burners, a fridge, a small sink and a dishwasher. Everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) is old and dated. The kitchen is barely equipped with two spoons, two knives, and one fork. Two plates, two bowls, two glasses and a couple of cooking utensils. The very bare minimum.During our 3-night stay, the room card keys failed to work three times, and we finally had to get the staff to unlock our door. He tried it a couple of times without success; and he finally pulled the door handle upwards to open the door. As he was leaving, he implied that we didn't know how to use the card key by pulling the handle upwards. Who opens any door by pulling the door handle upwards?This is a very basic hotel, with minimal amenities. Furnishings in the room are basic and fairly standard. Nothing to write home about. As for cleanliness, I would rate it a 4 out of 10. I would not return.

Our stay was pleasant here in Sonesta t Suites by Sand Canyon Irvine. It was a good choice that we picked this place. We were looking for a 2 night stay because of a major renovation at our home. We have to look for a place to stay within the area. Major point is cleanliness. Don't expect being in Hilton or in Hyatt hotel. The sheets, pillowcases, towels are clean as what you see in those premier hotels. The floor ing to the carpet is clean. No sticky feel when you walk barefooted.The basic needs are offered to the guest to make our stay worthwhile. There's no unusual smell in the hallways and in the room. The small kitchen, fridge and eating utensils gives us a feel that we are at home.Staff is accomodating, kind and patient.My 8 yo felt she was in a vacation on our short stayThank you for keeping this place pleasant and affordable for budget friendly travelers

Convenient location for both business and tourism; laguna beach,trails, sna airport and many companies are around. Many hospitals right next to the hotel if you are injured lolService was great and checkin check out was good. Room was clean but my only complain is the air conditioner and fridge: they are both old and very noisySafety: They dont have passport lockers in the room but the area is very safeWalkability: Next to a trail, hospital, game companies, a bus that lead to laguna in summer, a few lunch and breakfast restaurants, irvine spectrum.
