This is my first experience with a yoga studio. Everyone is great. I almost don’t want to put a great review so the classes don’t get packed! Haha. Not selfish, so, I’ll say love this place. I would use words like non-judgemental, kind, knowledgeable, and even the studio is very nice, great vibe. Is it standard to say namaste at the end of these reviews? ?

This is place is a real-life yoga oasis!I drive 30 minutes one-way to attend classes here twice a week. Why? Because it's the best yoga studio in Orange County. As yogi with over 20 years of practice, I know what does and does not work for me. The compassion, thoughtfulness and heart-centered focus of Be The Change is exactly what's needed in this world.Every teacher is excellent, but there are a few champions of yoga I'd like to mention.Amy Harper - I've been following her from studio to studio. She's been my teacher for over a decade because she's exceptional as a yoga therapist and meditation guide. She exudes tranquility and strength in her classes.Katie - One of the owners of the studio. Someone described her as having hummingbird energy. Spot on! She's a tiny little powerhouse that teaches you how to grow in your practice. Bonus - Her parents join her classes regularly. There is nothing more heartwarming than hearing your yoga teacher say something like, "Dad, we're going do your favorite pose in a minute."Allison - How this wonder woman runs a business, attends grad school and teaches yoga, I'll never know. Her reiki/yoga classes are quite restorative. And this is to just name the three teachers I see on a regular basis. I've taken a class with nearly all of the staff and each one is beautiful in its own way.

Be the Change has a very peaceful vibe. I love all of the teachers there. I feel safe and supported when I practice asana. I also love how each teacher has his or her own special way of incorporating Yoga Philosophy into each class.

Neat yoga studio that also offers Livestream classes. I signed up for the trial and did my best to attend a variety of class types and yoga instructors. I would have gone on to the monthly membership but I knew the commute wouldn't make sense. The Livestream classes are great, and they take feedback well. I prefer to do yoga in person though and am looking at places closer to me. If I lived in the area, I would be more inclined to go here. Interactions with the front desk and instructors have been friendly and informative!

Unfortunately, they have raised prices, and now you have to sign up on-line for a class. Before COVID I enjoyed going to this studio very frequently, but with all of their changes I do not find it appealing anymore, and actually more stressful having to sign up. If you do not mind paying their fees then you will probably like it.

In the middle of such a chaotic time, this studio has brought me calm and peace. I drive in from Long Beach because this was the only studio I could find that taught restorative yoga. The restorative yoga heals my body, while the sound bath, at the end of the session, heals my spirit. Since this experience, I've signed up for the new client membership, which gives me unlimited yoga for $99.00 for two months. I've taken the reiki yoga, therapeutic, gentle and aromatherapy. I've taken a yoga class a day for a week and a half and my anxiety and depression have been reduced tremendously. I actually had a out of body experience and experienced such peace it has lasted me almost the entire day. No matter if you live in LA COUNTY or the OC, this studio is worth checking out.

I just started going here recently. It was my first time doing Yoga so I was a bit shy to try it. With that being said, all of the staff is extremely warm and welcoming. They made me feel comfortable immediately. The facility is extremely clean and everyone is well spaced out in their studio, for COVID reasons I'm sure, but it also makes it very comfortable while in their classes. Looking forward to going here some more.

For me Be The Change Instructors are the best. I have tried various classes and instructors. They all do focus on breathing with the moves which is the best. The moves progress and build through the class. Modifications are offered as needed. They are the best for body and soul.

I am so happy I found this place. I've attended different studios around Irvine and i think I found my place. I've been to two different level classes and loved both of them. Ali and Lisa are great instructors and both had me sweating. My only qualm is the loudness of the people in the hallway during sessions. I had an amazing class with Lisa and really felt like I worked my butt off but was annoying disrupted during the final relaxation pose. Girls are cackling and almost yelling in the hallway. I understand this is a welcoming place where people should be free to express themselves but the front desk people need to have better control of the volume. I was so annoyed during the last few minutes that I couldn't wait for it to end... not the best way to finish an awesome yoga class. The front desk needs to be aware of when final poses happen and need to take control of the studio chatting. Besides that I loved it. I hope this isn't a consistent issue with this studio.

I've been going to this studio since December and I am so glad I finally took the plunge and visited! Everyone was so welcoming from the front desk to each and every instructor that I've met. I truly appreciate that each class they acknowledge newcomers, ask if people would like to focus on certain areas/needs, and the intentions set to personalize your practice. I really enjoy the varied styles and levels of classes they offer so I can choose if I am looking for vinyasa flow, yin yoga, restorative, etc. I appreciate being able to attend my favorite classes the same time each week, but I do wish there were more varied eveing classes. There are some class types only offered midday on weekdays, so I'll never get to go to them since I work M-F, so that would be my only feedback. They have blocks, straps, blankets, etc available in the studio which is great, cubbies to stash your belongings during class, and some great items for purchase out front (clothing, props, essential oils, gifts etc). Definitely recommend checking out this studio because I am sure glad I did! Thank you BTC for cultivating such a great studio and team!

I was looking for yoga classes that were not heated, and I found Be The Change. Unfortunately, the experience was a disappointment right from the very start. When I arrived, I told the person at the front desk that I wanted to sign up for the unlimited month for $49. She only spoke to me to ask me to fill out my information and for my payment. There was no intro, no welcome, no tour of the studio, no information. Nothing. Ok... I walked into my first class, and the teacher commented that my mat was "so fancy!" That comment definitely had a negative undertone, which was very off-putting. The class itself was intermediate/advanced, but I still found it to be quite slow and wouldn't have considered it intermediate/advanced. There were individual poses that were more advanced, but the class as a whole did not feel so. At the beginning of the class, the teacher asked for a show of hands if it was your first time, and I raised my hand. At the end of the class, the teacher walked up to another class participant and said "I've never seen you before! What's your name?," engaging in friendly conversation. As I was leaving, I spoke to her to thank her for the class, and I was completely IGNORED! She never asked for my name although she knew I was new to the class. What is wrong with this woman? What did I ever do to her? Some yogi... I still came back to try another class. I had an unlimited month, and I only made it to 3 classes total because I was so sorely disappointed each time. I tried different class varieties, but they were all very slow. Some were focused on breathing, etc. But I fell asleep in each of the last two classes. I really tried to give it a chance, even after that negative first class. I even went on yelp and read every single review posted. Like what am I missing that others seem to get? I really just don't get it.

I liked the other class the other night, but took a class a little too hard..that's ok-it didn't turn me away. Just need to start with a more basic one. I was at an intermediate level in the past, but need to work back up to it. I have a deal for classes now via black friday, but after it expires...is there donation based yoga any longer? I just see on website regular pricing like for 1 class, 5 class series, 10 class series, but not the donation based idea..or sliding scale. I thought that was a great idea!!

I have thoroughly enjoyed this place. I've taken classes with Flavia, Ashley, Lisa, Amy, Ali, Susan, and Alexandra. I haven't taken a class here that I didn't enjoy, but my favorite instructors have been Flavia, Lisa, Ali, Amy, and Susan.
