This branch is just the worst to deal with weather you need to pull money and their systems are down to they run out of debit card to get replaced, or atm outside not working.I'm sure its not the bank but the staff but WOW. I've been with this bank for over two decades and it just keeps getting worse and worse. Now this BMO is just issues and issues. Avoid if you can this office as for me I'll not visit it again.

Horrible branch manager. Made me wait for over an hour since their migration to BMO glitched to two separate logins. While the banker was helping me connect to online CS, the branch manager invited two of her friends like it's her home, bringing them fruits and drinks talking distractingly loud. Then the branch manager took over since the banker needed to tend to another customer. Not even an understood what was going on, just didn't even look into migrating logins which is the main issue. Very unprofessional and useless. I hope the corporate looks into this. I will be going to another branch soon.

Just stop coming here is all I can say, their FEE is just ridiculous and not willing to reverse it for a 7+ years customer. Just ridiculous

I would give them Zero star if I could. Worst customer service I have seen and it looks like the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Closed my account two months ago and after numerous visits to the bank they are still sending checks out to my mortgage company and others through banking on line and then returning it as insufficient fund. None of them can explain why and just keep sending me to their 1. 800 number. My mortgage company and property association are sending me return check fees. Avoid this place and this bank

I have been a customer for many years and when I deposit a check, the put a deposit hold on a certain percentage of the check! I have another account at Wells Fargo and I receive instant access to some money and the balance the next day. Horrible!

This morning I went to Bank of the West in Irvine to make some small cash deposit to my 10 year old account , It took a long time for the employee ( seemed to be new) to locate my account as if he was landing an airplane ,focusing so hard and taking his time while I was late for work and just standing there staring at the counter ,then he had problem with the machine counting the money so he called his manager/ assistant manager/ higher employee to help him , that gentleman started to spray the money counting machine ,it didn't work then started counting the money manually and he made mistake in counting , showing some facial attitude with a mouth sound , as if it was my fault he made mistake . Finally he confirmed the correct amount which I had written on my deposit slip but then , they gave the money to another machine to check /count/whatever again , then they separated some notes from my money . I asked them if there was anything wrong with those notes ,he answered No ,we just have to separate them . I asked them " Can't you do that after the customer leaves so he doesn't have to stand here for long? The manager answered with an attitude No. I will never go back to that branch again.Hamid G.

I came to bank at 12:20 and they are unable to cash a check because their system is down. This is the 2nd time I have been ask to come back later. 1st time the wait was 45 mins, today told to go shopping or something and come back in 20 mins. Really poor business.

Oh boy, what a mistake hiring the new manager here! My company has been banking with BOW since 2013 with reasonable service. Within the last 2 months a new Manager/Asistant manger was hired and she is absolutely horribly unprofessional! She insists on holding our checks from a respected "brand name" customer for 10 days which would interrupt our payroll! We have been doing business with our respected, recognizable "brand name" customer for 25 years, depositing checks successfully with BOW for 8+ years, however this woman insists on a 10 day hold! We have never in our history with BOW had a hold forced on us by any other employee when making our deposits. This makes no common sense and is not only highly unprofessional, but small business unfriendly. We had to do several work arounds to make our payroll because of this terrible manager. GET YOU ACT TOGETHER BOW!

Horrible and unprofessional service since the team changed! I was waiting in line to just change mailing address. Then the customer in front of me was asking a trust question that no one seems could answer. All of the sudden the banker who was helping the trust question decided to turn to serve me. Then I said I just want to change address. She said I can help you. Then a second later, she asked the customer behind me what he needs. He said deposit. Then the bank said ok, you go first. What the person behind me need to be served first? Then another lady behind the counter came up to me said she can help me and she said I need to sit down since the computer at the counter can not change address. Then she just left and she doesn't even know what to do and the whole branch is full of unprofessional staff. Bank of the West is in trouble with their HR or the bank itself is just in trouble hiring right personell. I am going to close my account.

As a legacy bank, their services are fine. I've always gotten what I needed from my local branch. But BTW's online banking, as a whole, is horrible. The site keeps locking me out, and good luck getting through to tech support

That was the first time in my life I'd meet such unprofessional bankers. Besides that the assistant manager made the situation worse after the banker on the window was very rude to us and he was biased and back up his worker instead of teaching her and being a role model. It was like a little gang working there.

I had opened a business checking account for my LLC in this branch four years ago, and all went smoothly then. Now i need to close that account. Of course, i understand that banks are not incentivized to make it easy to take your money elsewhere; however, I am very frustrated and disappointed that when i called to close out a zeroed-out account, I was told by Stella, who says she checked with Operations manager Doreen, that this is not possible, because I have to be present in the branch for them to verify my identity. Another employee at Bank of the West had told me two days earlier that they WOULD be able to verify me and close out the account once the last outstanding transaction had cleared. TLDR: The staff's first response is to say no to the customer, and then they double down.

Terry Chang gave superb customer service. Prior to him, I had difficulty closing an account at another BofW branch. I was so perturbed by that visir at that other location. Thank you , Terry, for all your help!
