They knew I wanted antiques and fragile artifacts that are irreplaceable packed to be shipped overseas. The two packers would not do as I asked and simply threw two layers of bubble wrap around these valuable pieces and stacked them in boxes, without proper cushioning and without the proper way to wrap valuables for an overseas move. They were supposed to first wrap each piece in acid-free tissue paper, then plastic wrap, then bubble wrap. The boxes should have had cushioning/ protection at the top and base and any empty spaces should have been secured with more bubble wrap. And each box was to be double boxed. None of this was done. They just wanted to finish up and go home, not caring for my pleas that their packing job was inadequate to me.
Also I was not notified I’d be paying for their gas, I was lied to by the packer that they only get minimum wage, thus I foolishly tipped them $100 and paid $145 for the hour they took for lunch, paid by me. I was told by the main contact person that they do not take a lunch break and they will bring their own food and drinks. Lies, lies, lies. The items they packed were so few that they only took up ONE HALF of a room, and even then they would not do the job as I wanted. I paid about $1,600.00 for this. And now I have to pull each box out of storage and repack every items properly myself!! Although my physical health is bad and that’s why I hired them to begin with.
DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR VALUABLES TO GET TO YOU IN PIECES, while you’re lied to and are overcharged. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!
Even the one star is too much.

I moved from Irvine to San Diego just recently and this company were fabulous! The 3 movers on the day were friendly, professional and very efficient. I highly highly recommend.

"I recently purchased a 7-foot tall, solid wood cabinet with glass doors from the RH Outlet in San Diego, and I'm thoroughly impressed with their shipping and delivery service. Despite the size and delicate nature of the item, they managed the entire process efficiently and delivered it in a timely manner.
What stood out was the extra care taken by the movers. They arrived at the outlet and meticulously packaged the cabinet for safe transport. Upon delivery to our home, they carefully unpackaged the item, treating it with the utmost respect. Their attention to detail ensured that our new cabinet arrived in perfect condition, without a single scratch on the wood or glass.
Their punctuality and professionalism were commendable, especially when handling such a large and fragile piece of furniture. Moving from California to TN can be stressful; especially when you have two homes to move at he same time. After meeting with a couple of moving companies we found ATH movers better by a long shot. First, the owner came to our home, photographed all of our possessions, came back with a fair price and promised that only our property would be on the truck. It wouldn’t be mixed with another customers - delivered! They took such care of wrapping all of our furniture, they disassembled all the beds and loaded everything up with great care. Secondly, they promised our stuff would arrive in 72 hours and show up on our doorstep - delivered! We were so impressed that everything that was delivered was not damaged in any way, they assembled all of our four beds for us (huge relief) and arranged the furniture where we wanted it. We couldn’t be happier and were impressed with Jay, the admin and Joel the owner. You can’t go wrong with this team.

Based on my experience, I would not use this service again and cannot recommend it. My dissatisfaction lies not with the movers themselves, but with the management and their handling of customer issues, which I found to be unprofessional.
1. Dispute over additional hours - There were no proper tools provided for disassembling furniture, which prolonged the process of resolving the issue. The additional hours worked were not adequately compensated. It's important to be cautious of extending working hours for laborers, as it can lead to decreased efficiency and potential additional costs. My move began around 10am and wasn't completed until almost 7pm, leaving the movers tired and the work efficiency diminished.
2. Refund policy - Customers are required to pay upfront for the service. However, if there are adjustments to the hours and fees due to a dispute, the tax portion already paid will not be refunded if using a credit card. This policy was not clearly communicated beforehand, and the desire to quickly resolve the issue seemed to prioritize closing the matter over providing a fair refund or partial refund.
3. Communication with headquarters - From a customer service standpoint, issues should be resolved internally rather than being passed on to the customer to deal with sub-management. I felt that there was a lack of respect shown towards me as a customer in this regard.
4. Attitude of sub-management - It appeared that the company outsources some aspects of their operations. While I understand the challenges of labor-intensive work and managing a business, professionalism should still be maintained in customer interactions. Unfortunately, during phone conversations with sub-management, I experienced emotional reactions and indirectly harsh words, which left me feeling disrespected as a customer.
In conclusion, I wish you luck in finding a reliable service provider. While others may have positive experiences, mine was not as satisfactory.

I can't say enough good things about the movers the helped us with our recent move. They were on time and hustled for 6 hours helping me move items that they didn't originally move once we got to the new house.As a real estate agent for 20 years, I've dealt with a lot of moving companies aI can easily say that these guys were at the top of the list.I would highly recommend.

A 2 day move around the tightest of turns on hills and the best of the best movers did it! From the estimate to the actual work, this company has shown professionalism and patience, and clever workarounds to deliver our possessions and set them up in our new space. I recommend this team of movers! And the team --very nice guys too!

I don't usually give reviews, but on this occasion I do it with great pleasure and because this company deserves it Around the House Movers. I have needed moving services on 2 occasions and this company has been super excellent. I met the owner Joel and he is a very kind, professional person and very dedicated to his work, as are his very professional workers. They are very punctual, they are attentive to following instructions, what else I will tell you, they are excellent at their work. So if you need help moving, I recommend them 100%.
