What a delight to discover this company. Among other very reliable chair lifts, they represent Stannah, a company that I had researched extensively four years ago when I had a unit installed. Access has great service and better pricing than what the manufacturer's office here in California offers. Their service team was highly professional, thorough and arrived one day after my call for a new battery. You will be happy with the fine quality of their service. .

I recently purchased a home in Huntington Beach. I needed access to my second floor. I had a number of elevator companies come out for estimates. Rick Mills, Access To Freedom was by far the most helpful. Everything that he promised came true. I was hospitalized for about a month, and while I was in the hospital, he installed the lift. I would recommend him and his company to anyone who needs a good reliable elevator, or lift. He is a man of his word, and he kept all his promises. I can't ask for anything more.

I purchased a starlift from this company a little over a year ago. I was told at the time of purchase the stairlift would be purchased back from me if I no longer needed it, provided it was in good working order. The stairlift is in great condition and rarely used. Unfortunately my family member passed away so was unable to use it more than a few times. I was referred to this company by someone that told me this was a honest family business. When I contacted the company they told me they would no longer be using this product and they only sold the model because the preferred product was not available. When I purchased this lift I was told this was a great lift and I opted to purchase instead of rent because I was told there was a buy back program. I was never told this product was temporary or sold only because it was available. It also took the company several times to get the lift installed, initially it was on the opposite side of the stairs. I had to take off several days to have the product installed because I was told by Kerri, they sent someone out that was not familiar with the process. Kerri spoke negatively about the employee saying she came from another company. After taking time off of work to have the lift installed Kerri told me the way it was installed initially was unsafe. See the pictures for examples, because they installed twice I had double the holes drilled into my staircase. I am very disappointed this company would sell a product they are unwilling to stand by. Please do not sell any product you are unwilling to stand behind. I purchased this product in good faith only to be told we are not buying them back or selling them. I was told by Kerri the lift company has bad customer service so they are not dealing with the company anymore. I find it ironic that the company would turn around and provide poor customer service to me.

This company helped us by installing a very reliable lift system in our two-story home. The service has been great. Ben, the technician, is not only capable, but he is kind to our dog Sadie! Our system was installed about 10 years ago and it has worked quitewell. Ours is a 2 chair/2 track system which negotiates a tight landing. We are both very happy. Vicki's legs appreciate it, too!

After a thorough investigation of the chairlifts and elevators so that my brother, who was planning to stay with us, could access the second floor. I called Access to Freedom and then met with Rick in their Lake Forest showroom. Rick is very friendly and knowledgeable, everyone in the office treats you like a family and is very honest.Being a person who unfortunately must be sure. I did further research and concluded that we should go with Access to Freedom. I can say now years later that it was the right decision to choose them to provide a chairlift. Rick came out and took photos and measurements then sent them off to have the custom chair lift built.After a few weeks, Rick called us and scheduled the installation. We couldn't be happier. The chair lift continued to work being used multiple times per day until his weekend, we called Rick due to a power issue and he scheduled Ben to investigate the problem. Ben came over at noon on a Sunday less than 24 hours later and fixed the power issue in just a few minutes and explained that he will come back later in the week to replace the worn guide roller.Rick never forgets his customers. Everyone who works for Access to freedom is professional and polite. They treat you as if you were part of their family.I highly recommend this family-owned business to take care of your needs.Rick ensures you find the right solution for your loved one.Contrary to my experience, my brother, who persuaded our parents to install an acorn stairlift in their home a month later has had nothing but issues. The issues are so bad that after spending over $12000 for a chairlift that has a constant error and won’t run, they don’t even go upstairs anymore, and they only have used it a handful of times.As I was writing this review, I got a call from Trish at Access to Freedom, and it turns out Ben is scheduled to come and replace the guide rollers at 1 pm.Excellent customer service. I cannot recommend them enough.

I cannot say enough good things and thank Rick and Kerri enough for everything they have done to get my elevator ordered, delivered and installed. It has been a real blessing during a very difficult time for my wife and me. I knew from the moment I first met Kerri that she cared so much about us and wanted to make sure everything went right. Her personality and commitment to her clients is what won me over right from the get go because I knew that she would be our very best advocate whenever we ran into the unexpected. She just cares and that's 90% of the battle. I ultimately met Rick and Matthew later on and they shares the same great qualities as Kerri. Their team stayed on top of ordering the elevator from Ireland, shipping it overseas, getting it through customs, getting it delivered and installed. They also spearheaded the city building permitting process and the contractor. My wife and I cannot thank them enough. If you are looking for a team that will do everything they can to help you, they are it.

06-30-21: I called Access to Freedom based on great reviews and they delivered. Kerri helped me from the start to finish. We were scheduled for a 9:00AM install today, however, at 8:30AM Kerri called and said a part was missing and it was needed to do the install. My wife who is suffering from Alzheimer's has been sleeping downstairs on the couch for 2-weeks, so another delay of a week was not going to work. Kerri immediately got on the phone and called around and found the needed part. Michael was at the house at 10:30AM and the install was fast and perfect. My wife is in her bed sleeping comfortably tonight!!! Fantastic customer service. Stuff happens to every company, the great one's respond and get the problem solved. Our main reason for purchasing a Stannah stairlift was to help us transport our dog up and down the stairs for walks, four times a day. He recently suffered a knee injury running up and down on his own and we wanted to prevent further accidents. In addition, we were questioning our decision to move to a Tri-level townhouse, having lived in a single-level home for many years. Getting groceries up to our second floor main living area was challenging. And frequently we would curse at the prospect of having to go back upstairs to retrieve something we forgot but only realized once we were on garage level! We contacted Access to Freedom, having read their previous Yelp reviews. They more than lived up to our expectations. Kerri was super sweet and accommodating. She kept us informed by providing details all the way through the process, as we had to wait (just a short time) for a shipment to arrive. We have had the chair for a few months and it has made life so much easier for all of us. Don't know how we lived without it! Both of our dogs love riding on the "train," as we call it and the one with the recent injury is back to his perky self. We feel great knowing we are preventing additional wear and tear on all our bodies. Thank you, Access to Freedom.

This is our 2nd stairlift from Access to Freedom. We bought the first in 2016 for my aunt's home, and she loved it! It has a backup battery and it works even when the power goes out. This time, we bought a stairlift for my 87-year old mother, and this beautiful curving Stannah stairlift covers all three levels of her tri-level home. It runs from Mom's bedroom on the second floor down to the front hall, curves, stops at the kitchen and continues down to the family room. We chose a "racy" red Starla chair, which Mom loves for its modern look. I received other bids as well, including the other company selling Stannah in OC which will never get our business. The man who came out was dismissive and visibly bristled at my questions. He told me that our home could not accommodate a single curving stairlift, and told me we needed to buy two separate stairlifts. He said that my mother would have to get out of the first chair at the middle landing and walk to the second stairlift to continue down to the family room. I should send him a picture of what he called "impossible," because Access to Freedom got the job done, and here are the photos to prove it. Access to Freedom gave us one long, beautiful continuous Stannah stairlift spanning three levels, with three stops, and three remotes, while the other dealer quoted the same price for two separate lifts and chairs that would have made our mom stand up to walk between them. Glad we stayed with Access to Freedom. Both Kerri and the owner are fantastic. Kerri is very caring and compassionate. Even though four years had passed, she remembered my aunt, she raced to fit me into her schedule the same day even though I called midday, and she worked tirelessly throughout the production process to make sure our chair came out perfectly for Mom. With Access to Freedom, we all get a good price. Haggling is unnecessary and inapplicable in this industry. These companies are providing a personalized, custom product bringing mobility and independence to our loved ones. Their prices are fair and from my other bids, I now know that. They also carry some used equipment, chairs, and rails, and will let you know if they have something that may work for your specific stair measurements and budget. This is an honest company that goes above and beyond, and has taken good care of two of my beloved seniors. I feel quite strongly that they will take good care of yours, as well.
