I really want to like this 24 Hour Fitness and I'm going to have "settle" for the next year because I bought an annual membership. Sigh. I really want leave a positive review but I went into to the Ladies Locker room for the first time and it was disgusting. The crazy thing is - this is a BRAND NEW facility. It opened less than 6 months ago. This location has it all... everything a gym-goer could want in an adult playground: functional area (turf, lots of open space and Olympic platforms), weights, machines (and even an entire row of glute drives), TRX contraption, heavy bag area, group fitness, HIIT room, pool and even a recovery area. I should have never stepped foot in the locker room - but the locker room/bathroom is a telltale sign of whether or not a gym or business is being maintained. The showers and flooring look like they've never been deep cleaned... very unsanitary and definitely a health concern... This is unfortunate because this gym has so much potential. Sadly, these days there aren't too many options in terms of clean "big box" gyms (due to the volume of daily check-ins but that's no excuse) unless you want to dish out a couple hundred $$$ to join Equinox or Lifetime. I guess this location is just proof of "you get what you pay for." If you are looking for a gym at an affordable rate and you don't use the lockers, then this 24 Hour might be the place for you.

Never had an issue at this gym before and only have nice things to say about all the staff that work here. However tonight NANCY (older latin woman) was very rude and disrespectful. She had a terrible attitude and poor customer service skills. Wasn't even going to leave a bad review until she started smiling and being passive aggressive when I only came with kindness and respect. I pay for the most expensive membership at this gym and I am truly disappointed with Nancy and her service.

Im a long time 24hr Fitness member, and this new gym on Jamboree is nice and new. But, it has become OVERRUN/OVERCROWDED WITH HIGH SCHOOL KIDS and overcrowded in general!!! Almost every time Im there, there are hordes of annoying kids hanging out in big groups hogging the machines, being loud and rowdy, and the party spills over into the parking lot where they keep hanging out and burning out tires in their cars!! Im having to go in the off times early morning or super late night to avoid crowds! 24hr Fitness doesnt seem to care because more people in the gym is more memberships and profit!! SHAME on 24hr Fitness!!!!!

This location has to be one of my biggest disappointments when trying out new gyms. Nestled in the Irvine Market Place, one would imagine a sense of pride for this location by employees but I quickly found this to not be true. After two visits as a new member, I struggle to go back. The machines are newer and the floor plan/layout works. But the staffs lack of care for safety and cleanliness is concerning. Staff should enforce their dress code specifically with people wearing crocks and sandals to work out. There are dress guidelines set into place for a reason (safety) but no employee seems to care. Also the pool area has the air conditioning running, why, it's winter time. To add, the water pressure in the showers is so weak, you could probably get more splash from the sink (at LA Fitness, Golds, and Planet Fitness this is not an issue). Lastly, the restrooms are DISGUSTING. The stalls don't have toilet paper forcing you to be surprised and have to use seat covers to wipe. But the most disgusting thing I have ever seen at any gym, was here. There was a toilet that was backed up and had been backed up for a while. You could tell because it looked like a porta potty. And even though the staff were made aware of this, 1.5 hours after my workout, the stall was exactly as it was when I first walked in, I'm sure in violation of some sort of health code in todays day and age (Picture attached). Over crowded, not clean, safety issues, winter wonderland in pool area, and lack of employee customer service give me more than a reason to take this location off my list of gyms to workout at!

This place hasn't even been open for a year yet and the employees and management can't keep up with watching their employees and what they're doing or should I say what they're not doing? For example, the guy bathrooms are always dirty, toilet paper and showers are gross. They took the shower curtain out of the unisex bathrooms so people can't use that bathroom to take a shower. When asked to get toilet paper in the bathroom they give attitude. I've email pics of the mess to the general manager, Kimberly Loftis and she might fix it for one day but it goes right back to the same way it was. I've been to older 24 hrs and it's more up kept this new one. They need to clean house and hire new people if they dont want to do their jobs. I'm disappointed with this gym.

It's a nice gym and the equipment is brand new, the only problem is that the weights are never where they are supposed to be, people don't re rack either so you're left wondering if someone is actually using the equipment. It's always crowded up until 1030pm when people start to leave which isn't too bad except you'll have said people come ask "how many more sets" and just awkwardly stand in front of you... The staff isn't all that attentive either except for the guy who works the front desk late usually around midnight he always greets and says goodbye, everyone else is either talking amongst themselves or on their phones. Bathrooms are nice and kept clean, most of the time there's paper towels in the dispenser Energy drinks are way too expensive tho, $5 for a c4 is ridiculous Monthly fees are expensive as well, $48.99 per month for all club access, I also have membership with Crunch Fitness, I pay $25.99 with my Veterans Discount, I get all the same benefits as 24 for half the price and I am allowed to bring in a guest free of charge, it is insane that 24 charges an additional $20-$40 on top of your membership fee for that privilege

This is my 5 th visit ,and 4 out of 5, there was no papertowel anywhere. I asked for the reason and they blamed on the delivery? Come on you have a Costco right in front of your store. Pleae stop making excuses, but prioritize your customers safety and hygene.

Very spacious and clean. Almost everything is brand new. Nice staff. Lots of squat racks and machines and punching bags. Only thing is that it is very crowded like 6-9 pm but other than that it is a great gym.

To whom it may concern, I think this is the fastest a gym has potentially had a customer and lost them. Signed up on your website @ 07:17 and @08:10 said "nope, not gonna do it".I signed up on your website for your 3 day free trial as there's a new location that opened right near my house. The instructions say to go into any of your locations and give the front desk clerk a user specific code, or just type it into the kiosk. However as I arrived at your new location in Irvine, off Jamboree road, I was informed (by Justin) that they don't honor the 3 day trail pass (even though I selected THAT specific location on your website). Justin said I could try to type my code into the kiosk, but it's not gonna work. He explained to me that I could sign up and they'll charge me one dollar, try it out, if I don't like it they'll refund my dollar etc......(sounds like a lot of work for the customer to just try your gym vs a 3 day trial pass). From a customer standpoint this is a red flag from the get go and I will not be returning. As I spoke to others at my gym in the sauna, many others commented that your facilities have gone down hill with the cleanliness. Do what will with this info, 24 hour USED to be my favorite gym back in the day, but I see it hasn't improved nor has your reputation.

This is by far THE BEST 24 hour I've been to in a while. And I've been to over 50 of them here on the west coast due to travel and work. The gym is clean, spacious and has a lot of squat racks, a long green turf for various workouts you can do, punching and kicking bags for boxing and kickboxing, medicine balls, a pool, push carts etc...they have it all. I do wish they had a few more bench press machines but no biggie. They also have a ton of cardio machines from treadmills to stairs, elliptical, rowing machines, and plenty of classes in the group class exercise room if that's your thing. I can see how this place gets very crowded between 5 pm and 10 pm. It's crowded sometimes during the non peak hours when I come. Rarely is it not crowded here because it is new and spacious. Also like how they have push up and pull up challenges every now and then. I made the board for the pull-ups. Lol. It's definitely something different that I like doing because I'm competitive and it helps me see how I measure up against other fitness people. They should have more challenges! The workers here are super friendly, always greeting you with a hello and smile. They don't have to do that but it is nice. The people at the front desk are very helpful and courteous. They also have a great selection of products like shakes, bars and other supplements you might need. THEY DO NEED HOWVER: To get more 5 pound plates. I don't know why 24 hour fitness always seem to have such a scarcity of these! Do people steal them? Like wth. Even the last 24 hour next door that closed down literally had 2 in the entire gym. No joke. Sometimes I have to walk to the other side of the gym to find a 5 pound plate. Overall for what you are paying this is the best gym. I almost joined Equinox for $200.00 a month but it's not worth it. Sure it's nice more upscale and you get Eucalyptus towels but that's what you are paying $200.00 for: a little nicer gym and Eucalyptus towels lol. For the price 24 hour THIS LOCATION is the best. Parking is always plentiful to. Don't have to park in a garage and get validated for 2 hours. And finally they do have filtered water in their fountains near the bathrooms.

As of November 4th, 2023, 6:05 p.m., I visited the gym location at 24 Hr. Fitness in Irvine (Tustin Marketplace) only to find staff member was seen cleaning out the paper towel dispenser (located around of the swimming pool area) with a broomstick head swerving it back and forwards, full on throttling the bristle head of the broomstick inside the entire dispenser. Apparently, the staff member used the bristle head of the broomstick to clean out remnants of the paper towel shreds in order to insert a new roll of paper towels. He could have easily done this by hand and with gloves. This poses a serious public health risk for many reasons. The very same broomstick head has been seen to be used in and around: -Shower stall drains to clean up hair balls, including pubic hair -The disability shower stall smelling like fecal matter -Toilets and bathroom areas -Unisex restroom (where some patrons solicit sex, and perform fellatio) -Locker room areas ...all throughout the entire gym. Although this act may appear innocuous, the deliberate act of shoving a broomstick bristles into a paper towel dispenser in and of itself produces a breeding ground for potentially harmful and dangerous bacteria/venereal diseases such as: -HIV/AIDs -herpes, genital warts, parasites, etc. ...and could cause eye and skin infections such as: -mites, crabs, skin worms, and scabies ...as well as respiratory diseases (i.e., legionaires, resembling pneumonia known to have spread throughout other various gyms). The viruses and bacteria continue to breed on hard and soft surfaces. Shoving the head of a broomstick inside of paper towel dispensers in and of itself is extremely unsanitary. The paper towel dispenser then becomes an inoculation and incubation for all sorts of harmful bacteria/viruses/parasites, which can then not only spread upon gym equipment but cling onto leather material such as seats and bar handles. There have also been incidents of bathroom showers smelling like feces, and patron members not only engaging in public sex in the unisex bathroom, but also individuals administering narcotics inside shower stalls of non-co-ed bathrooms. I personally know two cancer patients who attend this gym, one who often uses paper towels dispensed from the very same paper towel dispenser. I also witnessed an elderly gentleman wiping his tear ducts with the paper towel that night. I myself have had skin rashes that have persisted for over a week even prior to the incident, after using paper towels from that same dispenser. A microbiologist can easily pay a visit here. Upon discovering what had happened, I politely informed the staff member that sticking a broomstick into the paper towel dispenser could lead to patrons developing infections and possibly spreading diseases throughout the entire gym. Since the paper towels are also used to wipe down gym equipment and seats patrons sit on during exercises as well as front desk equipment such as keypads for member sign ins, I was concerned and aware of the issue that night. He was the only staff member working at the front. I then offered to clean up the paper towel dispenser for him knowing clients like the cancer patient I know could contract a possible infection, thus further complicating their illness. Overall, cleaning immediately was to prevent even further contamination throughout the facility. The staff member responded by getting annoyed. There was no sense of responsibility, remorse, nor urgency. There have been many numerous multiple members' complaints and staff not addressing the gym's lack of cleanliness and sanitation. This is a fairly new gym, but is already getting soiled up just like the previous one before. The saunas have also been complained about mold issues and very dirty floors. Staff members have also been observed to mop around the swimming pool/jacuzzi areas and spraying what was mopped on the floor right back into the swimming pool/jacuzzi. Instead, custodial staff could sprayed what was mopped back into the surrounding drainage system installed. **This also poses hazardous in

The reopened/newly designed 24 is truly nice. Tons of weights, machines and squat racks available to choose from on any given day. The staff is great as well! Giving a special shoutout to the SSM Nate who is always there to help and assist members when needed with a smile on his face. While the steam room could use some fixing so that it gives out steam quicker than 5 seconds, overall really good club.

Overall abysmal experience since the Marketplace 24 moved to the former Bed Bath and Beyond location. A lot of this may be compared to the previous location, but it still p my overall experience thus far regardless of the last location. The positives are that the place has a lot of new equipment, is pretty clean, has over a dozen squat racks, and the staff (at least to me) have been pretty helpful. The parking is awful. There is a whole lot less, especially with other busy businesses in the same building and lot. Inside the gym, it is more crowded than before. To the point that almost no equipment is available. It has gotten to the point that I've been coming around midnight just so I have a higher likelihood that the equipment I wanna use will be available. Even with the dozen squat racks, it is always full. There is a lot less than the last location. No basketball courts, overall less equipment and machines, and sometimes in certain areas less space. The previous location wasn't the greatest 24. But at the very least, I was able to get the workouts I wanted done even at somewhat busy hours. This one, it has been tough. I've had to skip workouts I wanted to do and do alternate workouts. Or adjust my hours to times I'd rather not do like past midnight, which isn't something I want to do. I do understand that some of these experiences I am having is not in the control of 24 or the staff. However, there used to be six 24 Hour Fitness gyms around the Irvine/Tustin area a few years ago. Now there are only 2. This one and the Los Olivos one, which is a better experience to me but is a bit too far for me to regularly go to. It's gotten to the point that I am considering moving to a different gym. Because this location, which is my nearest home location, just doesn't work for me anymore.

This gym has no compassion or empathy for anyone. I've been trying to find a gym that works for me & for my budget.. so I've been shopping around for the right gym I went ahead and got a 3 day pass & it does say local but not for residents ... just says local & I work locally.... & since I just moved my ID doesn't reflect that just yet. I explained that & was still told no I couldn't come in because they are high traffic & there members come first. Kim, the manager even told me that I had to make an appointment & it says that on the website ... which I pulled it up it doesn't!! & she kept harping on the fact that it's for locals only. Kim has absolutely no compassion or understanding for people. Kim has not empathy Kim doesn't care about getting new customer's in as she clearly stated her members come first. Kim isn't what I would expect a manager to be like. Kim definitely made it so that I'm not going to be coming back or joining.
