We rented a cottage with a loft. The cottage was cute, and had everything we needed. We were able to cook a meal one night in the kitchen. Salt and pepper were provided, as well as tea and coffee, and hot chocolate packets for the kids. We had to call housekeeping and request a new sponge to clean dishes, as the one provided was old and stinky. You are required to wash your dishes before checking out so we wanted to have a clean sponge. The loft had two trundle beds for our boys, but it was hot up there, even once it cooled off outside. We had a window open and a fan blowing all night, so it finally cooled off but was cold downstairs. The kids seemed okay but my 12 year old complained a little. I’d recommend this for younger kids who can climb steep stairs without trouble. The beds and bedding were comfortable and having a dining table was nice. The location of the cottage was perfect for all of our adventures while in Point Reyes. We would stay here again.

Great contemporary cottage & proximity to national park! Great beds & little kitchenette with coffee maker, microwave, frig, toaster, etc. Electric fireplace can heat up the room fast. Hot tub outside! Clean & nice decor & comfy furnishings. WiFi & TV. King & 2 twin beds were perfect for us. Web photos & descriptions are accurate.
And, hang on kids, it has a landline phone in room--awesome, right? Show your friends!
Close to Point Reyes national park where one may hike & see the sea lions, elk, deer, cows, warblers, red tail hawks, interesting geology, etc. Wear good hiking shoes/boots for the hilly trails & unpaved stretches. After hours of hiking, returning to the comfy cottage felt great.
One caveat--you need good mobility & eye sight when nearing cottage. If you were to need a cane or other aides, there are uneven paths to cottage entrances, then stairs. Take a flashlight after dark.
Rooms: Great beds & bedroom. Nice furnishings. Clean modern bathroom, tub/shower. As stated above.
Nearby activities: National Park is a short drive away. Saw packs of mountain bikers braving the narrow, curvy roads so bring your bike & burn those quads. Better to go in a group.

It is a nice place. Our experience was turned upside down when nightly sounds prevented us from sleeping. There is no insulation and you have 4 rooms packed in one cottage. I'll say it's also the land of "there is a rule for everything" to the point that I'd always wonder: what am I doing wrong now? I wouldn't recommend personally as a good night sleep matters to me. Read other's reviews though.

My husband and two year old son love staying here. The rooms are cozy and there is a great yard with trees and grass for kids to run around and play.Nearby activities: Super close to town and to all the amazing nature of Pt. Reyes

This place is magical. The vibes are immaculate. When we arrived, signs declared our family safe and welcomed. We ventured out in all directions and experienced beach, bay, estuary, forests, rolling hills, and tule elk, all within 20 minutes drive or so.The cottages were cozy, the pool was warm, and the babbling creek was mesmerizing. We especially enjoyed the lovingly tended rare trees on the grounds, and the blooming jasmine and lavender scenting our approach.Just gorgeous. We will be back!Noteworthy details: If you plan to kayak or paddle Tomales Bay, this is an excellent place to stay. Launch from Chicken Ranch Beach, across the street.

Very cozy, lovely stay. Very quiet, surrounded by nature. Beautiful close beaches, close to Tamales Bay. Close to Hogs Bay where you can get the best oysters. A great get away from noise, traffic and fast paced life. Nice pool and soaking hot tub. Don’t expect the Ritz. It has all the comforts of home.

Best place to relax and enjoy life in Pt. Reyes. Good equipped cottages with a small patio. Good starting point to discover the area.

Tldr: lumpy beds, great location, family friendly---Pros:I loved the location! There are two very family friendly beaches close to the hotel, so it's easy to have an extra outing every day to keep kids entertained. It's also a short drive to the main attractions in the area. The grounds also have tennis courts, a pool, and plenty of room to run around. The cottage itself has everything you want: a basic kitchenette, room for the kids, a cute little fire place.Cons:Unfortunately, the beds were extremely lumpy. My husband mentioned it the first night as we got in the bed, and I rolled my eyes. I was humbled the next morning. My neck hurt all day, which was lame since we had planned a hike. My husband didn't fare much better with a sore back. This place was awesome, but the beds were a deal breaker. The housekeeping was also a little lacking. The room was clean enough when we got there, but there was some...stuff left on the toilet seat from the previous occupants.

Been coming here for years. The location is great, room decor is nice. This time we had to look at covid and other political signage every time we came and went. Personally I go on vaca to get away from all of this stuff. To us it's a turn off whether we agree or disagree with the comments is irrelevant. I don't want to see this stuff period! Another thing there was no maid service and given the price is the same not so good. Coffee maker needed cleaning before use. Picture on the wall was peeling off its backing. I realize the jacuzzi is only being used as a hot tub but that could be fixed. Not sure we will return after this time. I give service 1 star for I was given 1 roll of TP by the owner after we ran out.

We loved our short stay there and will be returning hopefully soon! And like someone said, don't let the bedding fool you.
