“You don’t have to shop here dog!”I love coming here but today was a disappointing day at the register. A young male Hispanic kid failed at customer service and problem solving skills. 1. He failed to look at the sale tag, then not inform me that the coupon would not apply to the sale item. He was unable to problem solve and redo the transactions so that the coupon could apply to a different regular priced item. Instead, he chose to not say a word and let me walk out the store.2. When I made the discovery and went back to the register to address the error, he repeatedly told me that I should’ve told him that he didn’t apply the coupon. He is the employee, he should know what he’s doing. If you make a mistake, own it and attempt to fix it instead of gas lighting and implying that the customer was at fault for not telling him. If I had known that was my job, provide self checkouts for the customers in the future.3. He was very combative with his word choices … very reminiscent of a middle school child. There were several but this was the icing on the cake. I quote, “You don’t need to shop here dog.” I told the other lady at the register that he needs to be retrained and in a different position until he is ready for the position that requires customer service skills.4 He also managed, at some point, to tell me that the coupon already expired anyway. The coupon expires on the 5th and today is the 5th. I told him that today is the 5th and he said ‘yeah’ (with a tone of exactly). I replied the day is not over. Apparently, he is unaware of how a coupon works.4. The manager was already on her way. In which when I asked if he called the manager he had more choice words “didn’t you hear me call?” The mngr, although shocked at the choice words when I told her what he said, unfortunately made an excuse for him. I sure hope she addresses the degrading customer service skills. It’s a bad reflection on the manager on duty and the organization as a whole. An employee in customer service should never escalate a problem by ‘talking back’ with smart-a** remarks to any customer. An employee should be equipped with the mission, knowledge, and skills of the organization they work for, and learn how to problem solve when errors are made. What a shameful look for Salvation Army Inglewood, CA today.

This rating has to do with search info on Google. This is not a store. It is a church and food pantry.

Just open for the Second Sunday in a row !Was opened last week! Social distancing is being done had roughly 30 people today and still had seats left over . They Have a good service and do a lot for the community before the pandemic more than other so-called churches being so much bigger and brag about what they're doing!! They're still passing food out on Thursdays still may be limited but they're still making an effort to do that! That's more than I can say some major churches are doing and other public nonprofits! The senior center across the street was doing a lot of other things until the pandemic they could be opening up shortly!! Will keep you informed!!
