On Monday I recently called them to verify a pet fee a lady stikenly told me there was no fee it's first come first serve and then I appreciate her for her time then when I arrived to the shelter all the dogs looking depressed and tired and some dogs were trying to escape but the poor quality workers were pulling their collars so hard they almost choked the dog to death and there was a lady with white hair who made it uncomfortable for me and proceeded to charge $550 for non cleaned dogs there was a dog at the end of the cages they were locked in who was sick and had probably COVID or a cold I didn't enjoy my experience $550 for a none purebred is to much it should be at least 150$ or 200$ at max . Don't recommend if you don't have the time

Came to visit their open house and it was very well run. Staff was super nice and the dogs were so adorable! I would definitely love to adopt from this org.

I had the best experience at The Love Joy Foundation. I adopted my new baby and I couldn't be happier. He is a joy to be around and a great addition to our family. You can tell that the employees at The Love Joy Foundation really care about the rescues that are residing there. All of the dogs are very social, look very happy and healthy.

Some people just shouldn't work with the public. Someone took my nephew's dog out of his car even though his windows were partially down and the jerk that work there actually supported the person who stole his dog. I'm sure this is a wonderful facility but the only contact we had was with this jerk of a person. He was less than helpful and very rude.

Our dog almost died from Parvo; erin said “WAIT IT OUT” our vet said, if you waited it out tiny would have died ..The gave a 2nd dose of a vaccination when we DELIBERATELY told them he was just there for puppy day care and wasn’t due for the next Parvo dose for 7 days. He then tested positive for Parvo and was hospitalized for 5 days. Erin ignored messages. Worst rescue I’ve over worked with In my life. Better off working with a shelter ?? more support there and the price is less! ??♀️

When we started looking for our next puppy, we contacted several services. We found that some services never take down the photo of the puppy after it has been adopted. Some services simply never got back to us. Some services made the process unnecessarily difficult. Then we found Lovejoy. They are head and shoulders better that the rest. From start to finish, you will be in good hands. The follow-up care was great as well. Another reviewer was upset because they charge a fee. If you consider all of the expenses involved with running this shelter; rent, staff, supplies, the vaccines which are included in the fees, you realize that the Lovejoy Foundation is worth every penny.

The LoveJoy Foundation reunited my pup Sky and our family after she was lost during a walk. They went above and beyond to find me once I posted my dog. Can’t thank them enough

Our Girl Scout troop chose the Lovejoy Foundation for their Give Back project, collecting treats, toys, food, blankets, poop bags and more to donate. When we came to drop off the items they gave the girls small tasks they could do to help the animals. ? It was heart warming watching all the people who made an adoption during our two hours there. We will definitely be back!

We stopped by their LAX location after dropping off a rental car. What a great bunch of volunteers! Everyone working hard, folks picking up their new puppies, it was a busy place. We donated some $$$ and thanked everyone for all they are doing. Highly recommend for pet adoption, great organization! ???

I hope these adorable dogs all get adopted! The weekend adoption events are powered by local volunteers. Shoutout to them! The dogs are all in stacked crates (some puppies in fences to the side) during adoption events, and get walked by volunteers as needed. They seem stressed in crates (who wouldnt be) so please adopt, dont shop!!!!

This place is a business. I once tried to adopt a dog form here and they wanted to charge me $500. The dog had been given to them the day prior by one of their cleaning ladies. Therefore it had not been neutered and had not been examined by a vet. They told me that the dog was a puppy and was about 6 months. The dog had tartar build up which led me to believe that they had lied about it’s age. Katie had told me that she would call the previous owner to basically prove me wrong and it turned out that the dog was much older. Then she tried to shame me for saying that I wouldn’t be taking the dog. She kept saying that he had all of his shots verbally but she had no proof of it. Then she told the dog “sorry I thought that she loved you but it turns out that she doesn’t”. She kept saying that he thought that he was going to have a home but now he’s not. She’s ridiculous and a liar. All she cared about was whether or not I could pay the money to get the dog. It’s ridiculous. These people do not care about the dogs health or about the future of the dog. They just want to get rid of them asap and make money off of them.
