Tara was recommended to me by a coworker who has gone to her for years. I have a short pixie cut and color and couldn't find anyone in the AV to consistently listen to what I wanted for my hair, so I was willing to drive farther. I was told that she is expert at what she does and will be honest about what to do with hair. She is an energetic, intelligent, funny woman, so definitely pleasant to deal with. And she is upfront about haircare, as she is all about healthy hair. She advised me on the best time frame to change my color, instead of trying to sell me on something that could potentially damage my fine hair. She did an AWESOME pixie cut, too!! She actually takes her time and listens to what I want with length and texture. She also did my assistant's hair, which was previously over processed and it looked so healthy and luscious when Tara finished it. I wish I could give her more than 5 stars and recommend her to everyone. She is very talented, patient and has a fun vibe going in her shop. We will be clients for life. Absolutely the best stylist around.

Terra has been styling my hair for over 10 years, I was referred to her by my sister and I'm so glad she referred me. Terra has a range of clients (men and women), she provides a range of services including barbering, and her services are reasonably priced. She is one of the few stylists I've encountered who educates her clients on hair health, provides styling consultations, and has a reasonably flexible work schedule. She has created a relaxing yet homie environment that is welcoming to all. I even referred my auntie to Terra, she enjoyed her experience so much that Terra is now her permanent stylist. I would highly recommend Terra to any person of any sex or race. She is truly talented and the heart and soul of Eclectic Fantastic. I am beyond happy and proud to be an E-Fan.

I've been coming to Terra for 3 or 4 years now. My sister referred me, she'd been going to her for quite some time at that point. I love her! She's gotten me through several hair crisis. Most recently I came to her with a closure that shed so bad I had a bald spot. After she laughed at me, and made me laugh at me, she worked her magic and I couldn't have been happier. #hairmacgyver. My hair was damaged and neglected. I had been going to another stylist before who was just doing my hair and collecting money. Terra has revived my hair and now it's actually getting stronger and healthier. I can feel the difference. She also explains what she's doing and why. She cares about hair health. I think she's dope. She does my hair, she listens to me complain, she even gives great advise at times and doesn't judge. What more can I ask fore. The shop is intimate with a lovely atmosphere. Sometimes it's soft music playing or a documentary on the tv. She also offers water, various teas, coffee etc. Great place to spend a few hrs.

I have been coming to Terra for all of my hair services for over 10 years. She has become more than just my stylist. Her skills are amazing i give her total creative control when it comes to my hair and I always leave impressed. She has managed time and time again to resuscitate my hair after i have damaged it from color or heat. The hair gods smile down at her because she is awesome. From color to cuts to weaves and even my natural hair she manages to amaze me my hair never looks as good as it does when she puts her hands it in. I transitioned with her from a couple of Salons until she got her own because she is that darn good. Not only is she talented but she is drama free. In a crazy world her salon is a place of tranquility when you walk in she greets you and her creativeness is displayed on her walls through her paintings so you get to see the creativity before you hit the chair. I recommend Terra to all of my friends and family no one else touches my head.

I had been getting my hair pressed since age 4, never missing an appointment. When it came time for me to go to college in Los Angeles, I was sad that I would part from my long-time beautician in the SF Bay. Most women can relate to how scary the process of finding a new stylist is. Trust me, in LA I experienced a few duds... and figured I would be better off shaving my head and calling it a day. Randomly, while on a message board, I got a good lead. Supposedly, Terra Hammond was one of the BEST stylists in all of Inglewood. Now, I don't know why, but I felt really compelled to check her out... and I did. I kid you not, the first time I met her, I thought to myself... she's the one. She was a friendly, artsy, funny, down to earth type of chick from Arizona. At the time, she had been a stylist for about 10 years. She could do it all, from weaves, perms, natural hair care, eye brow waxing, and she was a barber as well. What I really loved about Terra, was the fact that she was a walking advertisement for her skills. Each appointment, I didn't know what type of look to expect on her, lol. As a fellow artist, she really encouraged me to think outside of the box when it comes to hair. However, she is very respectful of clients' preferences, and she isn't pushy at all. Terra is great at keeping hair healthy, and is quick to get on your case if you've been damaging your mane, lol. Needless to say, Terra cared for my hair throughout my entire 4 years of college, I was ecstatic for her when she moved into her own salon. Eclectic & Fantastic was the name, and it was so fitting. Warm colors, original art work on the walls (oh, Terra's a painter too), hand-made jewelry available for purchase, and non-stop neo soul, r&b, and smooth jazz music. It definitely has an east coast vibe... which I like. Metered parking is available in front of the plaza, as well as a few lots within walking distance. I graduated and relocated 2 years ago, and miss Terra dearly! Most women (and men) know that your stylists/barbers become your therapists as well, LOL! Whenever I'm in the area, I make it a point to visit her and get a little cut and color as well ;-)
