As of today, I will be checking for other & with the times banking cause this one here is wack!! I disputed the charge of $62.34 on my Account due to 'FRAUD', as a result of not being able to review the order, nor tracking # details by receiving an error message "Site Cannot be Found", and USPS not being able to track either nor was she able to find any tracking details on FedEx's website either!! I received a letter from their Rep who wrote that a final decision was made based off her no good, so called 'INVESTIGATION', and they will not return my monies bank to my account. Called to inquire further as I'm appalled by that decision letter. She tells me what typa fraud it was as if I'm not aware of FRAUD!! Duhhh, is why I did the dispute!! Over this place, & am in the process of checking the best option. Cause again, this ain't one of 'em!!

This bank reminds me of how my Dad used to do business with the banks. The decor is old school and the feeling is old school and conservative. Most of the customers I've encountered are senior citizens. What I like most is the fact that they take their time and really want to give you good customer service.

Now the largest black-owned bank in the country! I have banked with them through the MLK branch since 2019 and love that they are both a B corporation and a publicly traded bank (BYFC stock) It's amazing to be able to be part of a community bank and invest in them as well, very excited for the future of this ethical community bank

Great bank to bank with, I have had previously banked with B of A and prefer this smaller bank than larger banks such as B of A.

I've dealt with this bank for about 6 years and for the most part I've been very pleased. All of a sudden now that the merger has taken place with CITY FIRST I found out that my interest rate has gone down by 75%. There was no email about this but they did send out a booklet, like I'm supposed to read the whole thing :-) The interest rates here are no longer competitive and I guess they don't care about losing a good customer's business. I like the employees but upper management needs to make decisions that will help Retain customers.

This bank took over Broadway Federal and it has been a nightmare. The phones were down for a week and the set up for the online banking did not work as published. The one phone number where someone answered had only one response and that was you had to physically go to the bank. Because I had no way to schedule an appointment, I had to make three trips to the branch. Today, the matters are still not resolved.

For years I have been trying to bank with the community and minority-owned and operated banks. The luck I have been having has been downright dissatisfying. I once tried with One United; they allowed phishing from my account and told me I authorized the transaction. I withdrew and departed them. Two years later, City First Bank popped on my radar. Although I have been researching Broadway and felt it would've been great to join. I understand Covid is back, but I question their marketing skills. Their website doesn't state new changes to the operation. I ended up diverting my plans to open an account with the bank. To arrive and be told that an appointment needs to be had to open an account. People have to work. They don't give time to make their way back to open an acct. The branch had little to no service. It would've been great to go above and beyond for new customers. This is a lasting impression. I fear that when minorities try and start something, it's always a lack of customer satisfaction. Had I wanted to take my money to another non-minority-owned bank would love my money. I don't get it. The branch isn't busy, and this is a new customer who is a minority to reinvest in their community. So I'm confused. Something needs to be said for marketing for new customers. Either an option to start online or even say, please call before coming to our branch. It's 2021 we need to update our marketing skills and tech knowledge. I am on edge now, ongoing to a locally owned minority bank.
