I was a little embarrassed when I walked in and he was able to guide me through effortlessly... I think because Julio made me feel so comfortable I will go back often. Thanks for hiring helpful employees!!!!”
“EXACTLY what i need in my life. exemplary service. great vibe. thoughtfully curated inventory. looking forward to exploring their events and book club. it's such a ducking relief to have a local spot in Los Angeles where you don't feel conflicted or guilty for shopping at. hit it up. please support and grow with this business.”
“That bookstore is PHENOMENAL! So open and welcoming with books from authors that look like me and more! So happy to have something I've written in there. Love it!”
“This is a fascinating store. Housed in a beautiful old building, it is packed with thousands of books, records and merchandise. There are some really rare and special books in separate rooms (one of which was formerly a safe or strong room). You can sell your books and vinyl to the store too. It's really very special and very different to any store I've visited before and is well worth a visit.”

6259 W 87th St, Los Angeles“I am so glad we made the time to visit this adorable indie bookshop. Friendly and helpful people working in the store, a great selection of books, cards, and more. Bonus- a farmer's market out front on a Sunday morning.”
“Love this place. If you like books with a bit of organized chaos, this is the perfect book store for you. There is so much to see and find, it is literally a literary adventure.”
“Nice used book store. Stacks!!!
Only dislike, they price some of the out of print books stupid. I shop at a LOT of used bookstores all over the country while on work travel. No one I have seen up charges for out of print books the way they do.
If you are looking for a hard to find book they may have it, but you will PAY.”
“Nice sized bookstore for new books. The staff gives lots of recommendations you can find scattered throughout the shelves. Their non fiction section was on the smaller side, so I didn't end up with anything. More a place for literature nerds than history buffs. You know beach book material.”
“Forget Barnes and Noble, they have what you need here.
I was just looking around, but they have LOADS of art books here it’s crazy.
If I ever needed some niche art book I would look here first.”
“Small hole in the wall with mighty superpowers to meet your bike repair needs. Have been getting my bikes serviced here for the last few years and am always awed by their incredible work and low prices to boot”

369 N Fairfax Ave #1, Los Angeles“I have never enter this store but I did wait for my brother in the car meanwhile he got a Siddur for me. I observed how the owner walked with my brother towards the books and probably explained to him what the book was for. It took me a while to read the Siddur. Know that I read it every morning and night, I’m very happy with it. May God continue to bless this shop. ?”
“Selection for faith based products are plentiful. Also a wide selection of different Bible editions and journals. The women working the front counter are super friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable for the customized messages on gifts. Will definitely recommend to others and come back myself. Thank you.”

“I love this store! They have such an incredible selection of Japanese books and gifts. I really appreciated that when my membership expired, I was able to quickly renew while I was buying some products. Everyone who works there is very sweet and helpful. “I love this store! I could spend hours perusing everything they have for sale. So unique and creative! Plus, it's connected to the La Luz de Jesus art gallery, that's always a treat. Short drive from the Griffith Observatory!”
“I went here to find a gift for a holiday gift exchange. My first visit I was thrilled to find a curated selection of products from books, to notecards, jewelry, candles, bath salts and lotions, to name just a few. The broad selection made it easy to find gifts, and the clerks were very helpful. You can get up to three gifts gift-wrapped for free, and she did an amazing job. Stronly recommend - this store is a gem!”
“This is the most unique store! Nothing but 1st edition books. I could spend hours just looking at everything and listening to Harvey and Louis tell stories ! I will be back for sure.”

“This is a beautiful bookshop filled with holy books, cards, and devotional objects. The sisters are incredibly kind and patient--and helpful. Highly recommended.”
“Most entertaining book store for those who love art, design, architecture, etc and they have a variety of unique and rare books! Their stuff is very well organized especially given the wide range of printed materials they carry. I pay a regular visit even thought it’s a bit out of my way, and it’s totally worth it. Go give it a try!”

“Children's Book World has the best selection of children's books anywhere. The staff is so welcoming. Getting up close and personal with authors and illustrators is a privilege. Watching Lisa Yee and Dan Santat banter about their latest book, The Misfits, was a treat. The first pages have me hooked. As soon as I have a cup of java in hand, I'll return to The Misfits. Thanks to Children's Book World for this (and many other) wonderful experience!”
“Best art/design book store. I bought from their online store for the first time and it was a great experience. The way the books arrived packaged so safely and carefully was amazing. I have never received books packaged so well. I hope they improve the website to be more mobile friendly, and better search/display options. Actual photos of the used books would good too.”

I was on a time crunch to buy gifts for people and managed to get it all done (with complementary gift wrapping and everything) in one trip at this store.Considering the general quality of items at the store, I think the prices are super reasonable. Hits the sweet spot between higher end and tasteful without breaking the bank. Also shoutout to the two people who were working at the store - you were lovely and helpful! Will be coming back to get future gifts.”
“off topic but a huge THANK YOU to the lady who worked Friday 12/8 around 3-4pm, I got my car to turn on!! :) you are an angel! I pass by this little bookstore often on my trips to Howlin' and finally went in to ask for a little favor as I was having car problems... As I was waiting she was assisting this lovely couple and as I overheard, I can tell she had TONS of knowledge about cook books and had so many recommendations regarding specifics of the customers likes/interest. I browsed around and there was a variety of books, some cooking utensils and other misc. items like cute tote bags. I will definitely come back and purchase my first cookbook here <3”
“The space is sooo cute and literally LOADED with so many amazing books. There’s really a book here for everybody. The decor is everything! They have the first ever Black Barbie here too!!”
