I was referred to A1 Medical by my surgeon's office after reconstructive heal surgery. Denise the customer service representative is outstanding, she is extremely responsive and attempted to assist me with my concerns. Unfortunately, the owner's customer service policies are less than acceptable. When the knee scooter I ordered was delivered I noticed it was missing the attached basket that I ordered and had full conversations with Denise about the need for it to move around the house; before the driver was off my street my family member attempted to catch the driver to make him aware of the missing equipment. I immediately called the office within 5 minutes of the driver departing my home, it was Thanksgiving so it wasn't surprising that there was no answer. The following Monday, Denise returned my call and stated that she apologized that the scooter should have been delivered with the carrier basket and that she would get with the driver to it off to my home. After a couple days being unable to use the knee scooter I again called the office and left a message to receive an update on the delivery of the basket, which had not taken place, I left a message on the voice mail. The next business day, Denise returned my call and again apologized that the model they delivered to me unfortunately does not come with the basket and she apologized for the mix up on the miss-information originally. She agreed to have the driver pick up the knee scooter, acknowledging that I had been unable to use it because I needed the basket to maneuver around the house to move items with me. I have crutches so, just simply walking was not an issue. Long story short, the owner sent a partial refund with the driver deducting the days that I consistently communicated that the product was not what I ordered. I would certainly not use a business again with such self serving practices, clearly customer satisfaction is not important. I will make sure my doctors office is aware of the discrepancy and the poor business policy of A1 Medical Equipment and Supply.
