Too bad I can't zero stars this place. I never complain but when I do I have to express myself and here it is . I cannot begin to tell you to stay away from this place. The manager is very unprofessional and is a total prick. He has a petco king complex and he thinks he owns petco and can talk and treat customers with disrespect. This manager in question is named Zachary he really sucks at his job. I purchased a betta fish and a plant (so called 30day warranty) It did not survive one week, so I brought it back, instead of him returning my cash $40 he decided to give me store credit and then I was able to get a fish and a plant. All good so far, until the fish and the plant die 4 days after the 2nd purchase. I came back to the petco and this Zachary person, and actually they did a refund but they decided on refunding me $4?? I was like wtf ??? And they took the dead fish and plant from me and told me basically said I lost the $40. He cannot refund me the total amount and that I would have to call customer service. After almost 10 hours with customer service they tell me that it is a In store purchase and the only one that can help me is this Zachary person and he is a total numb skull. I basically got robbed by petco. Do not go there unless u want to lose money and your time and get really frustrated with ignorant people. Do not worry, I will take this up to corporate petco. This guy needs to be removed from his position, he actually told me to come to the store to fight with him over a fish and plant, so he can trespass me. This guy is totally rude. Unprofessional, disrespectful, and to top it he's a thief. He is ok with stealing a customers $$ instead of solving the problem with some store credit and that would fix the issue. Just to show you how unprofessional he is, he is willing to get in a fight with me and risk looking his job for $40 instead of working it out with a customer, that's how you know he's totally wrong. He's reign will soon end!!

I had a very bad experience in this store I walk in ask for crickets. There's two gentlemen at register (Austin) the manager said hello welcome to petco how can I help you? I said can I have crickets he told the guys next to him move it I'm the manager here while sitting down at register acting like if he was hitting him with a whipping even making the noise "whip"whip" made me feel very uncomfortable feel bad for the employee I don't know his name but he was short.

This Petco has such an amazing trainer named Ricki. She has patience galore and really knows how to work with the dogs as well as the parents who in our case needed the most work. Our Ziggy really made an improvement with her help and would highly recommend her as an excellent trainer.Also, Debbie Ziggy's groomer there also does an excellent job.! She always does such a great job making him look extra special. I always try to get her to be his groomer. My favorite!

This is a review for the Dog Training service with Ricki. She is a wonderful teacher and a dog whisperer too! She trained our dog Gus and he was so enamored with her! Would recommend!

Where do I begin...This store changes employees like someone changes their clothes. All have been fairly nice. Except CJ! TOTALLY RUDE! I had bought a 20 dollar light bulb for my chameleon and when i got home the light was defective. The little wick thing inside was busted.. i took it back the same day and CJ WAS LITERALLY GIVING ME THE HARDEST TIME !! i said i just boight this bulb from you a few hours ago... and he almost didnt give me a replacement, i was annoyed but let it pass... Then a separate trip I asked for crickets, he said he can't sell me them because he needs to feed his animals. I was flabbergasted. I'm like this is a pet store.... where CUSTOMERS come to buy good for their pets.. after ARGUING with this jerk AGAIN for 10 mins to give me some crickets, he finally does. And what do u know, he still had enough for his own. Instead of arguing with a loyal customer, he could of just started there. I would rather drive 20 minutes to the nearest PETSMART to get my crickets. A place I can always count on an employee.. avoid this location as much as possible. And avoid CJ, he's completely rude. Hopefully they get rid of him next since that seems to be the trend here.

Most of the staff here really need some pointers on customer service! I came in today for a specific product that the app said was in stock. Girl upfront first tells me that that is a prescription product and I told her it is not and never has been! Nobody asked for the SKU number to help me when I showed them on the app. Total waste of time going to the store today. I called La Quinta to see if they had it in stock and they were out so I promptly called Palm Desert and Bruce was lovely! He physically walked over to check if they had it and said there was only two left and he would set one aside for me with my name. Now that is customer service! Indio Petco needs major help.

Bathroom is locked. I asked the employee at the front for a key. She said a customer lost the key so now they are not allowed to unlock the restrooms! What terrible customer service! I looked around to talk to a manager, but couldn't find one. I'm charging my car and just wanted to use the restroom before spending money on my fur baby. Guess I won't be using Petco any longer. It just seems ridiculous to not unlock the door for a paying customer.

Our experience with Petco Dog Training was absolutely outstanding. Ricki is everything you'd want in a trainer. She's very knowledgeable about how dogs think and feel about the world and does a great job translating her wisdom to a couple of beginner pet parents. Our 10 month old pup, Honey Bee, loved Ricki's energy and yummy treats. Over the span of 4 private training sessions, Ricki guided my girlfriend and I through a series of positive-method training tactics that have set us up for a bright future of training with Honey Bee. The advancement in Honey's behavior has been remarkable. We're excited to continue our pet parent education with Ricki in the near future.
