Was searching for a reliable mechanic in the area while servicing my BMW at Concord. Came upon Fred who was nearby to Costco / Auto Row on Market Street. He's really thorough and goes through in detail of all the work to be done and is easy to talk to. He gives honest answers and has good discussion on what needs to be done. My car needed brakes / rotors repaired with an oil change and both were completed in the time we discussed before my next appointment. Good guy, reliable service, prompt, and quality work. Thumbs up!

Transmission replacement on a 2005 Honda Odyssey. We were having issues with our transmission. I took a gamble and gave Fred a call. Fred gave me a very reasonable price for both parts and labor. Unfortunately the transmission had issues that manifested shortly after installation. Fred worked diligently with the transmission company to get a replacement and he reinstalled at no extra charge. Auto Repair Garage is like a diamond in the rough. Fred is a as honest as the day is long. He definitely earned my trust but also future business!

Nice guys and very informative! Talked to Igor prior to coming in to get my drive belt replaced. He offered to take my car in the same day, but I was at work. Will be coming here for future work needed on my car. Pricing is affordable and service is great! Thanks!

The guys at Auto Repair Garage are amazing. Fred & AJ were very honest & straight forward with me. I tried to replace my own fuel injectors on my 2000 Infiniti Q45 & fail at doing so. My car wouldn't fire up. I thought my engine was toast. But Fred was able to take my car in on really short notice. He did an amazing job at troubleshooting what was wrong with the car. He was able to bring my Infiniti back to life. To be honest it now runs better than it ever has since I bought it 2.5 years ago. Thank you guys for an excellent job!

I don't think I could rate this business more highly. I had a broken side mirror (the entire unit, not just the glass) on my 2019 Toyota Camry. I stopped by here on a Saturday to inquire and they told me that if I ordered the part they could put it on for me. Fred told me exactly how much it would cost and expressed confidence in the time it would take. I ordered the part that day from the dealer and picked it up Tuesday after work. Auto Repair Garage is nearby, so I dropped in to schedule the appointment. He figured he could do the job on the spot and he completed it within 30 minutes. As a comparison, the dealer would have charged twice as much per hour and was not firm on the time it would take. I have been hoping to find a trustworthy, reliable mechanic and I think I found one! It brought such piece of mind, and to have it done right away without an appointment versus having to wait until the weekend made me feel great. Driving with the mirror in the broken state was hazardous and embarrassing. The job involved removal of the passenger side door, and after assembly he made sure to test the mirror's functionality with the buttons on the driver's side interior. There are not any bells and whistles with this shop - no lounge, it operates next door to a smog shop that is closed, the signage consists of a banner that is practically hidden from street view, and even the name is plain. But after years of going to a dealer or just trying to find a shop here and there, I don't mind. I just want a place that I feel is going to charge a fair rate, do the work right, do it in a timely manner, and not give me b.s. It is very close to Chili's, and when I bring it in for the next scheduled service, I'll happily have a drink or meal there knowing my car is in good hands.

Reliable and trustworthy. Awhile back, oil was leaking from underneath the vehicle. I thought something was wrong. I took it here and a young man was helpful. I had an oil change from another store and that other store didn't clean up properly because he said there was no leak but that it just wasn't cleaned up properly, and he helped me by getting it cleaned up. I was so appreciative.

So... I came here a few times for an oil change and everything was fine. I decided to come back recently to get a leak fixed. I made my appt. 4 days ahead of time @ 11am, and AJ told me they needed to order parts for my service. Naturally, I assumed the parts had been ordered when I got there. NOPE. A young lady asked me if it was okay to pick up my car at the end of the day. I reluctantly said "Yeah..ok." Well, I never got a call saying the car was done. I called at 4:30 asking the status. She said "They're putting it back together..it should be about 1 more hour." At 5:58pm I called, no one answered so I left a v/m saying I hadn't heard from them, so I'm on my way. I get there and STILL have to wait 1.5hrs in the parking lot w/ my ride!!?? That ain't neva happened to me before! Mind you it's raining out (light rain). I asked AJ when did they start working on my car? He said, "A few hours ago" even though I had an 11am appt...Finally my car is pulled out w/ the front windows down (still raining out). I went inside to pay and discuss the service w/ AJ. The person who gave me a ride noticed my car was still running, & the inside of my car was all wet (steering wheel, power window switch, seat, etc.) Fred (owner) was standing there next to it yacking w/ another co-worker and didn't even notice my ride had started wiping the interior of my car dry. She asked him if there is a reason why my windows were down "It's raining!" He apologized and got towels..smh. I just hope I don't have any future problems w/ my power window switches since they were soaked! AJ is personable, but I won't patronize this shop anymore-they NEVER gave me a status update & I don't want to waste an hour and a half of my life after closing waiting for my car again...

The mechanic you can trust 100% - after dealing with mechanics who tried to charge me extra for every little broken thing, my friend recommended that I take my car to Fred. I could not be happier - always fair pricing, quick service, he is great at explaining everything and is just so passionate about cars! Once you go to Fred, you will never need any other car repair guy.

My car broke down in the middle of a road trip. They kindly diagnosed my issue and let me park my car there until a tow truck could arrive without charging me. They were wonderfully kind, patient, helpful, and knowledgeable. AJ was very nice and Fred was so patient.
